"Are you fucking kidding me, Rumlow?" I spat.

I was raging. Although we didn't always get along I considered him a friend. He betrayed us and I can't lie, it hurt me. I struggled in my restraints, "You wanna treat us like criminals? Why? Because we know the truth? Because you sent your little soldier here to kill us and it didn't work?"

"Sergeant, I suggest you shut up before things get ugly," Rumlow threatened.

"Oh," I chuckled obnoxiously, "Things have already gotten ugly."

I decided I'd keep quiet now. Of course, I still had a lot of words for S.H.I.E.L.D. and STRIKE respectively, but they weren't worth any of it.

I looked over and observed how roughly they tossed Natasha around, even though she was injured, and then I noticed them holding a gun to the back of Steve's head and I couldn't keep my mouth shut any longer.

"Don't touch her like that!" I yelled at the agent manhandling Natasha before I yelled at the agent who pointed the gun at Cap. "Move that gun away now!" I gritted through my teeth. Steve was knelt looking pale like he'd seen a ghost—which he had. I didn't want him to suffer any more than he already was.

The agent moved the gun away from Cap's head but pointed it between my eyes instead. I took a deep breath and exhale to try and calm my anxiety. Any other day I would think this was just an empty threat, but HYDRA was capable of anything.

"Sarge, what are you doing?!" Sam called out from a few meters to the left of me.

I ignored him and looked the agent right in the eyes, "If you're gonna shoot me then do it." I said coldly, never breaking eye contact.

The secret was I knew he'd never do it. There were crowds of people here, and everyone would find out something wasn't right. Rumlow whispered something in his ear and he lowered his gun. I grinned once they'd done it.

The four of us were locked up and sat in the back of a S.H.I.E.L.D. motorcade. We'd finally been caught and arrested. What was going to happen to us...we didn't know. We could only imagine. And now since we knew the secret of HYDRA there was a high chance we wouldn't be kept alive.

I was sat next to Steve, and Natasha and Sam were sat opposite us. Our hands were locked up in restraints so we could barely move them. My eyebrow was still sore and dripping in blood and Nat had been struck in the shoulder by the Winter Soldier and she was in visible pain.

Two agents sat with us. Each of them with helmets on their heads so none of us could see their faces.

"It was him. He looked right at me," Steve said referring to the Winter Soldier. He swore up and down that it was Bucky but the rest of us weren't sure. I couldn't even validate his assumption because I couldn't and still can't see through my right eye.

"How is that even possible?" Sam questioned, "It was like 70 years ago."

"Zola." Steve figured, "Bucky's whole unit was captured in '43. Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must have found him and—"

"No," I said softly, "Don't put yourself through all of that," I told him. I didn't want him to blame himself for what happened to his friend.

"None of that is your fault, Steve," Natasha added.

"Even when I had nothing I had Bucky," he said looking down at the floor. It broke my heart seeing Steve this upset. I wanted to hug him or comfort him but I couldn't with these stupid restraints on my hands.
