After getting off the phone with Happy my focus was on Tony and his health. He hadn't called me at all and seemed like he was struggling. His response to the little boy at the bar was also concerning.
Of course, we haven't spoken about New York since it happened, so maybe that was what was bothering him.

"What the hell happened at Neptune's Net, Tony?" I asked him sternly. I know I was supposed to be taking the soft approach but my frustration just slipped out.

"Uh, how did you get in here?" He asked instead of replying to my question.

"Answer the question, Tony," I snapped, demanding answers.

He let go of the bar and dropped to the floor, landing on his feet. He wiped the sweat from his hand, the whole time avoiding eye contact. I sighed and spoke up:

"JARVIS, what happened to Tony at Neptune's Net?" I shouted up to the AI.

"It seemed that Mr. Stark suffered an anxiety attack, Miss L/N," JARVIS informed me.

I took a sharp breath in and frowned slightly at Tony who still wouldn't look me in the eyes. I knew there was something up with him, but I honestly didn't think it was this serious.

"JARVIS, why would you say that?" Tony yelled frustrated with the AI for revealing the truth to me.

I folded my arms, "Are you forgetting that I have access to 80 percent of all files, data, and commands that JARVIS has?" I reminded him, "That's more than Pepper and Happy combined.

Tony rolled his eyes, "That's because I trusted you," he told mumbled.

"Trusted?" I repeated, raising my brows in disbelief. He had no reason to no longer have trust in me. He knows I'd do more for him than anyone else and I cared about his well-being.

"Yeah, I don't know...I really should change that..." he muttered before trailing off.

I frowned, disappointed and slightly offended that Tony didn't feel he could tell me anything anymore. I wasn't entirely sure what I did to break his trust, or maybe Pepper started feeding him lies. But either way, I didn't want our friendship to be tossed away like that.

"Tony, you know I'd do the most for you. Shit, I'd even take a bullet for you," I told him, stepping closer so that I was standing a few inches away from his body, "I'd tell you anything even if you didn't want to hear it. You know I won't tell anyone else. I'd even keep it from Rhodes if it makes you feel better! I just want to help you."

Tony continued to look at the floor, contemplating whether he wanted to spill his problems out to someone. I took it that he wasn't telling anyone and maybe even Pepper didn't know.

"I won't even tell Pepper," I blurted out and Tony's gaze shot straight towards me. His real issue was Pepper find out.

"Fine, I haven't really been doing well...at all," he confessed, "I'm a hot mess and it's been going on for a while."

I stepped closer to Tony, reaching my arms out to out either one of my hands on each of his shoulders, "What do you mean?" I asked softly.

He sighed and looked down at the floor in embarrassment, "You experience things and then they're over and you still can't explain them. Gods, aliens, other dimensions. I-I'm just a man in a can..."

"Yeah, and I'm just a girl with a three-foot knife," I joked but Tony didn't laugh.

"Exactly, so how are you coping so well? I can't sleep, at all, so I come down here and make suits. It's the only way I can make sure she's okay," he quaked finally looking up at me to make eye contact.
