I let out a sigh. 

I know realistically none of those will occur. 

It might result in a small argument between us but who knows if it can be a much larger argument. 

I mean I don't expect it to result in us throwing things at each other. 

I don't expect him to be necessarily happy about it though. 

I finished washing the dishes and decided now was the right time to talk to him about it.

I'd rather do it now that we will both be in the living room other than arguing in the bedroom. 

I put the left over food away in the fridge and went to go sit with Levi on the couch. 

"Levi I wanted to talk to you." I said a little timidly. 

"What about?" He asked looking at me. 

"Well... a bit actually. And I don't expect you to be happy about it at all but it is the right thing to do that I tell you about it. So the other day I had gone on a walk, and that's how I got those blueberry muffins. Well I went to the park and I saw Tanya there. She was with her friends this time. She looked so happy and came up to say hi to me and I gave her a muffin. Then the guy that was watching them was looking for her and he came up to us. That man was actually Jean. And I freaked out a little just cause I wasn't expecting to see him there at all. So we made small conversation. Then I left in a hurry because I wasn't feeling good emotionally. And that's why I wasn't doing all that great these past few days. But today, I saw him again at the park and we made more small talk. I expressed to him that I didn't have intentions of anything romantic occurring between the two of us and he said that he had no intentions of that either. So we had a nice conversation catching up with one another. I just thought I should tell you about it." I said to him looking at my hands that I laid in my lap. 

He sort of just stared at me for a few moments. 

"Listen I appreciate you telling me. I'm sorry you got upset but how can you be so certain that he has no intentions of attempting to pursue you romantically? Y/N you two have a long history, there is no saying he is over you." Levi said with almost no emotion. 

"Well I don't know that, but he said, as of right now, he just wants to be friends. I expressed to him I was married and showed him the ring and everything." 

"Y/N and do you think just some ring makes guys stop? I understand that you have history with that guy and that you want to rekindle something with him but it can't happen. You can't talk to him or meet with him anywhere anymore." Levi said with irritation in his voice. 

I was shocked. 

He can't just tell me I can't see Jean. 

"That's not fair though. Levi it really is only as-" 

"I don't care, whatever it is, it ends now. You aren't allowed to see him at all. I'm doing this for your own sake Y/N. You said I can tell you not to talk someone and you would be ok with it. You aren't over him and that is evident to see. You're married now and you have to accept that and let things be in the past." He said, his voice still laced with irritation. 

I forgot I told him about that. 

Wasn't when I joked about Eren? 

"But not even as friends? How is that fair?" I asked him. 

"End of discussion. You can't be around him anymore. I won't condone it at all." He said. 

"But this is something I want! I want to be friends with him if I can!" I started to raise my voice.

"And I said no!" He began to raise his as well. 

"This is completely unfair and you know it!" 

"Well life in general isn't fair Y/N. You'll come to accept that soon enough. Get rid of that picture and dress of yours already as well." He said as he got up from the couch. 

"I'm going to bed now." He said and headed for our bedroom. 

I mean we didn't argue badly and I didn't get kicked out, but he said I can't talk to Jean or see him. 

He reminds me of my parents. 

It's like how it was back in high school. 

Is this going to stop me? 

No. 

If I didn't tell my parents I was seeing Jean then I don't have to tell Levi. 

I'm going to see Jean. 

I'm going to be friends with him. 

And Levi isn't going to stop me from having friends.
