[Jungkook's POV]
My business meeting ended earlier than I expected. Now I'm driving back towards that place, that I'm dreading of going. I feel like they only waste my time and energy. But I know, it's important that I continue going—for y/n.
I had drop her off this morning before I headed to that business meeting. I really didn't want to let her go and I badly wanted her to come with me.
But I know she's this independent business-woman now. I had always knew she would be one day, which is why I didn't make her the President of Jeon Enterprise, back when I had gotten her into the company. Even though I knew she wouldn't want it that easily anyways. I just had to tell her that my father, wouldn't allow her just yet. But all along I had the full power to make her the President of the company.
I ended up giving her the position of an Associate Advisor, not even an Operations Manager, a higher position that my father suggest I should give to her since she was my wife.
But I just wanted her to get a sense of independency. I knew how extremely intelligent of a woman she was back then, but she just lacked confidence in herself. I wanted her to work from the ground up in the company and hopefully one day make her the President of Jeon Enterprise. Maybe even my own position as CEO. I don't even need that position anyways. It only adds more stress into my stressful life.
That CEO position is only fitting for a high-powered woman like she is today. The woman I had always seen in her.
But she's a CEO now of her own company. She has her own business to run, and I got mine. I'm just glad, she found something she seems to be passionate about and proud of.
Suddenly, I had a changed of thought and something else came into my mind. I decided to go a different route and headed towards some other place that would help me get something done. Something I had always wanted to do.
I'm sure that place I was initially gonna head too wouldn't mind me skipping a day. I'll just be sure to come back tomorrow. The place I'm heading to now is more important to me and I'm too eager to check it out.
I made my way towards Gangnam District.
Once I got to my destination, my soldiers parked up behind me and followed me inside the guarded jewellery shop.
"Mr. Jeon, welcome back!" The store personnel greeted me. "Were you looking for another pendant for your Cuban link chain again?"
"No, I came here to see rings," I bluntly replied, eager to start looking for the perfect ring to place it on y/n's fourth finger on her left hand.
"What kind of rings are you looking for?" He asked.
"Engagement rings," I answered. "Show me the most beautiful and most expensive engagement ring you got here."
The store personnel immediately sat me down, while he left to grab engagement rings for me. He came back with the jeweller and displayed to me all the different kinds of diamond rings.
The lighting in this room brought out the brilliance of the diamonds and showcased the rich colours of semi-precious stones.
But nothing really stood out. I mean, they were all beautiful, but nothing really felt special to me.
"I want to make a custom-made ring," I advised the jeweller.
He sat still with his full attention but I can tell there's fear in his eyes that he's trying hard to hide.
"I want a massive emerald-cut diamond ring, about 24 carats," I explained to him with diligence, ignoring his fear towards me. "I want to also incorporate two smaller diamonds on each side, from one of my mother's jewellery collection."
He looked at me blinking his eyes as if he never heard someone say this before. "Sir, the process usually takes about a month and a half," he paused for a second to clear his throat, "but for you we can definitely have it done in three weeks as the earliest, and the ring will approximately be worth 5.5 billion won."
"Done," I instantly said, as I pulled out my black card. "Just make sure the ring looks beautiful. It will be given to someone worth much much more...than that ring."
The cost definitely wasn't an issue for me. I just wanted the ring to be special and meaningful. A one of kind, the world can never have. Only she would be wearing it. A ring that she will be wearing for a lifetime.
We later went on discussing more into details on exactly how I wanted the ring to look like. After we had finished, I headed towards home.
I have three weeks until I can get that ring. I was already thinking of how I was going to propose to her. I want to make it the most special day for her. A day she will never forget.
I can feel myself already getting nervous, from the thought of proposing to her again. The first time I had proposed, I didn't give any fucks. I just needed her to marry me. I didn't care about the commitments it came with. But now I understand the gravity of what proposing is all about. It's like asking her to spend the rest of her life with me and committing myself to her. And I think I'm ready to make that lifetime commitment—with her.
But will she even say, yes?
I was nearing home, when I suddenly get a call from y/n's executive assistant, Seri.
Seri had been working for me. I had paid her more money than what y/n was paying her to have her keep her eye out on y/n for me and report everything to me.
I pressed answer on my car screen, feeling my heart already racing.
"Mr. Jeon," her voice trembled loud onto the speakers of my car.
"Yes, Seri," I responded. "What's up?"
"Uh," she paused for a moment. "Park Jimin had come into the PMK building pretending to be Mr. Bang, and is now waiting on y/n to walk into the meeting room."
"What?" I growled, feeling instant anger.
This fucking bastard. Just the mention of his name already makes my blood boil.
I immediately parked my car to the side of the road, and pulled my phone out to access the cameras.
Right away, I see y/n in the meeting room across Jimin. The moment she seen him, her face lit up with the biggest smile and hugged him with great excitement. I can feel my heart aching, remembering how she used to look at me like that.
I watched her still not letting go of him, as her arms still wrapped around his neck, and then he pulled her in again for another hug. I can feel anger rising inside me from the sight of him touching her like that.
Once they finally pulled away, she suddenly looked nervous and scanned around the room and looked right at the camera—at me.
I wish I knew what they're talking about, but I already knew exactly what she must have said or going to.
She's of course going to let him know that I found out about their little plan. Then she'll find a way to get my chip and leave. That's the sole reason why she even came back to me in the first place, not because she loves me.
I see them suddenly leaving that meeting room. Jimin really thinks he's slick wearing that cap as if it's gonna hide his cover—dumbass.
I watched y/n talked to Seri while Jimin had head out of the building until he was no longer of view on the cameras.
Once y/n was done talking to Seri, she walked out the same path as Jimin until she disappeared from the cameras.
Fuck.
I was about to call y/n's executive assistant, but she's already calling my phone.
"Mr. Jeo—
"Where the fuck did they go?" I shouted, cutting her off.
"I had overheard the two planning to head to a nearby coffee shop—at dal komm coff—"
I hanged up on her, not needing her to finish because I already knew exactly what place she's referring to. I rev my car, and zoom my way towards their location, with my hands gripping tight onto the wheel. I can feel my anger now going up my chest, as my heart innervates.
Once I finally reached the coffee shop, I parked my car right at front, beside a red Ferrari.
I scanned onwards, right through the massive glass windows of the coffee shop, trying to spot the two. My eyes darted right to the far back of the coffee shop. They were already there, seated across one another.
I was fuming at the sight of them. I told y/n to fucking leave that guy. But she's out here disobeying me—Again.
I slammed my fist hard onto my wheel, bursting into frustration. I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to kill him.
I walked out of my car in an aggravated state, without any thoughts about the consequences of my actions that I was about to inflict in public. But my eyes did a double take, as I walked passed the red Ferrari beside my car.
This specific red Ferrari seem to be familiar to me....
I stood there in-front of the car, until a sudden memory flashed onto my mind, of me almost crashing onto a red Ferrari. My head started to hurt, not understanding why I was suddenly remembering that.
But then I remembered...it was the night I was on my way back home to y/n. Only to find out she left me for that bastard.
I stood there feeling my emotions rising and mind churning as I glanced back at them through the glass window. Then my eyes focused only on Jimin, and then flickered back at the red Ferrari in-front of me. That's when my brain started piecing shit together again.
That's when it finally hit me.
This red Ferrari must belong to none other than Park fucking Jimin.
I stood there shock of what my brain just pieced together. I couldn't help but painfully laugh, despite of myself. I thought I was going out of my mind at that point.
But it was just a reminder, that Jimin had her first.
I glanced back at the two, and noticed y/n's smile. My heart forcefully tightens. Her smile never seemed to fade with Jimin. She seemed to be the happiest with him.
First fucking Taehyung. Now him.
Why can't she just love only me?
Finally my senses kicked in. I couldn't do this too publicly. But all I wanted to do is go in there and kill that fucking bastard with my bare hands.
I headed back towards my car. Once I opened my car door, I took one quick glance at them again.
I can feel my heart aching with pain and my emotions stirring up all over the place.
Then I zoomed off out of the parking lot onto the streets, fuming with frustration. I immediately headed to a place where all my stress faded away.
The strip club.
Once I got there, I drowned myself in alcohol to drink away the pain and frustration I was feeling. I didn't want to feel anything at this moment.
I feel so betrayed and hurt.
How could I be so dumb? I knew she would go out of her way to see her ex.
Who the fuck was I kidding? She always loved him. Not me. After all, Jimin was her first love. But I just hate the thought of him having the pleasure to touch her before me. He did everything before I did.
I should have known y/n wasn't ever gonna leave Jimin to stay with me. She left me for him once, what makes me think she wouldn't do it again?
I'm so fucking stupid.
I started to feel the effects of the alcohol taking over my body. I felt more at ease and happy. I kept shoving more alcohol down my throat feeling the burning sensation. I was starting to get the buzz feeling, forgetting about everything around me.
Then suddenly all these women came beside and started seducing me.
Fuck y/n.
Who needs her? I got all the women I need right here. I don't even gotta say shit but they're always getting naked, ready to bend over their fat asses for me.
Women. Liquor. I feel like I'm in a state of bliss. I'm enjoying every moment of it. I never want it to end.
