📍 𝙿𝚢𝚎𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚐-𝚍𝚘𝚗𝚐
𝙹𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚗𝚘 𝙳𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚌𝚝, 𝚂𝚎𝚘𝚞𝚕,
𝚂𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚑 𝙺𝚘𝚛𝚎𝚊.
[Y/n's POV]
"Mrs. Jeon, nice to see you again," The maid Hana, greets me, ushering me inside. "Mr. Jeon had left early this morning with the boys. You can sit in the living room if you want to wait for them. They should be here very soon."
The lobby still looks exactly the same, looking luxurious as ever. Except I'm not as astounded, as I was that night I took my very first step onto this place.
Then she leads me into the living room, feeling different kinds of emotions starting to build up inside me, as I reminisce.
She ushers me towards the living room, and sits me down. I instantly look up at the stairs nearby, that led up to Jungkook's and I's shared bedroom. The sudden memory of Hyori slapping me near there, came to my mind. Thankfully, Taehyung had come just in time that day. But Hyori had told him, that I had fallen down the stairs, which I went along with it. I was so scared of her back then.
"I'll grab you some drinks in the meantime," Hana interrupts my thoughts.
"No, rhat's fine, Hana," I say to her, before she could leave. "Thank you though. And, it's Ms. Kim, now."
"Oh uh okay, Ms. Kim," She stutters. "But, Mr. Jeon might get upset with me for not welcoming you properly."
I ended up allowing her to serve me. There was never any use in trying to decline Jungkook's staff. They always seem to obey his orders, no matter what.
Once she left me alone, I scan the entire place, feeling a warm and fuzzy feeling. It feels bittersweet to be back here after a year and a half now.
All great memories of Jungkook suddenly flood my mind, giving me a sort of happiness and comfort. But with a tinge of sadness that those memories are lost in some way.
Then painful memories interrupts my mind. But Hana came just in time to push those thoughts away, as she places a jug of water, a wine glass, and a wine bottle on the coffee table.
But before she could leave, I ask her, "Hana, if you don't mind me asking, where's Maria?"
Her expression suddenly changes. "Um, s-she doesn't work here anymore."
"What do you mean?" I ask, feeling my heart aching. I was also shocked, since I knew Maria has been working here before Jungkook was even born. She became like a second mother to him.
"I'm not really allowed to disclose that information, Ms. Jeon," she answers cautiously. "The staff were told not to speak of her again."
"Told by who?"
"M-Mrs. Hyori," She stutters, looking nervous. I didn't respond back, as she bows and leaves. She looks to be in a hurry.
Hearing Hyori's name, made me feel so angry. I can feel deep emotion, starting to resurface. It reminded me of everything, she had done. She deserves hell, from all the shit she had put me through. She made me feel dumb, useless and worthless.
Moments later, I was growing impatient sitting there. I decided to make use of the time and look around.
The first thing I did, was to look at my old room. I went in and the place still looks the exact same. It's like I never left.
I went into the balcony, where I stayed most of the time in this house. It felt so nostalgic. It was my safe haven in this house. It felt really great to be standing there again, looking out onto the view that I had always brought me comfort.
This is still the same place and view, but I'm a different person now. I'm not the same as I used to be.
I wanted to look inside Jungkook's room, the one we both shared. I was hesitant at first but I was too curious. I tried opening it but it was locked. Of course he would have it locked.
I continue to look around and make my way to the kitchen.
I remember those moments with Jungkook and here, and also those times with the rest of the boys.
Then I soon make my way out onto the backyard, and nostalgic feeling hits me once again.
I've seen the backyard of Jungkook's mansion many times, but it still takes me by surprise how much land he has just for a backyard.
It's a massive backyard, but I still see that the space is only occupied by the people maintaining it. I always thought back then, that this place should be occupied with a big family. Even two families should be leaving here. It's way to big for just Jungkook and the boys.
I soon eagerly head straight towards the garden area of the backyard. After the balcony, the garden was my other safe haven in this place.
I just love being with nature. I guess it reminded me of home. But I also had great memories here. Mostly it was with Taehyung, but I also remember being here with Jungkook.
"I never took the time to really look around here," Jungkook said, holding my hand as we walk through his massive and beautiful garden.
"How can you not?" I gushed. "Your garden is huge and so beautiful. Your gardener and landscaper did a really great job."
"I never really have time to be honest," He responded.
"Then why have this huge garden?" I asked. "Why do you still have your gardener tending it, if you don't even come here."
"To be honest...my mother loved flowers." Jungkook's expression changed with the mention of his late mother. "In our old home, she would actually do the gardening. She...just loved flowers. We would always picked flowers together and make bouquets..."
I turned to look at him, and I can see him looking down, lost in his thoughts with the memory of his mother.
"I...I miss her," He said, with sadness in his voice, looking down.
I lifted his chin, and gave him a reassuring smile, but he gave me back a weak one. I couldn't help but pull him into a hug, holding onto him firmly but gently.
Once we pulled away, he headed towards the flowers and started picking them.
I couldn't help but smile and my heart feeling warm, as I stare at this man, who usually gives a dark persona, was picking up flowers and making it into a bouquet.
There were so much side to this man, that I just love.
"Here, this is for you baby," He gave me his cute smile, as he handed me an assorted bouquet of colourful flowers.
That cute memory of him made me smile. It's the little moments with him that made me loved him. It showed his real side.

I head back inside to the kitchen and abruptly stop once I see the last person I wanted to see standing there in the middle of the kitchen.
Hyori.
I notice some of the front door guards had come in, as they stand at the doorway.
"And just, what do you think you're doing here?" Hyori raises her brow, with arms folded. "How dare you even show your face here, again."
I give a sardonic smile. But before I can answer she shouts, "Get out of this house now!"
I smirk, unbothered by anything she's saying. Which I knew is only triggering her.
"Guards!" Hyori shouts towards the two guards, still keeping her glare at me. "Throw this rat out of this house ."
But the guards didn't move. Even if they did, they wouldn't dare touch me.
Hyori turn her gaze and glares at the unmoving guards, who weren't obeying her orders.
"Mrs. Hyori, I'm sorry but we can't do that," one of the guards replies timidly. "Jungkook would have us killed, if we throw her out."
"Excuse me?" Hyori hisses, with great bitterness on her face.
"We were told that Ms. Kim can never leave this house, once she gets in. So if Jungkook finds out she was here, and we just allowed her out. We would be killed on the spot."
Hyori stood for a moment glaring at the guards, until she finally faces me.
"If not you..." Hyori's eyes burn into mine. "Then I will!" She charges towards me and grabs my arm, but I quickly grab it off of me, holding it tight and slap her hard on the face, then push her off. She stumbles back, eyes widen in anger, as she bring her hand to her redden cheek.
"Don't you even dare lay another hand on me!" I snap, my eyes wide, glaring at her with great fury. "It's different circumstances now. I'm rich. I could buy anything I want. I could even buy you, if I want to." I scornfully laugh. "Which isn't worth much."
Her nostrils flare and eyes bulging, as great anger sweeps her face.
I lower my tone, narrowing my eyes. "If I were you, I suggest—"
I stop once I see Taehyung walking into the kitchen. He looks shock to see me. But then his eyes shifts towards Hyori's, then looks back at me. I think he somewhat knew what was going, as he looks at me in disbelief.
"Hey, Taehyung!" I said, gleefully. "I'm just having a talk with my ex-mother-in-law."
I shift my eyes towards Hyori and give her a devilish smile. "Oh honey, I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell down the stairs."
She looks like she was fuming in anger, as her face looks flushed and her hands shaking. She gives me a burning glare, before finally storming off the room.
Once, she left I couldn't help but chuckle knowing she must have so badly wanted to do something to me, but knowing she couldn't.
I shift my focus back to Taehyung standing there, as I take a deep breath trying to push the anger away.
"Y/n..." he said, looking daze.
"Hey...Taehyung," I said softly. I just wanted to run up to him and give him a hug. "Nice to see you again."
"What are doing here?" he asks.
"I-uh...." I take a deep breath. "I'm here to see Jungkook..."
"Oh...um—" Taehyung gets cut off by J-Hope and Jin who came walking into the kitchen in an energetic mood, until they see me standing there in the kitchen with Taehyung.
"What the—" J-Hope abruptly stops in his tracks, staring at me.
"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Jin asks, looking bewildered.
"I came to see, Jungkook," I said timidly.
The three men stood still, unable to utter any words. I think they're trying to process that I was in-front of them.
"I decided that I wanted...to be with him." I said, feeling awkwardly.
All three are still speechless. They didn't know what to say. They finally move, looking at one another, like I wasn't in the room.
"Well...um—" Jin finally speaks breaking the awkward silence but Immediately gets cut off.
"Hyungs!" A familiar voice shouts, coming from the living room, hearing the person's footsteps come closer.
My heart jumps and butterflies in my stomach flutter with incredible force. I already knew who that voice belongs too.
Jungkook.
He comes into the kitchen looking down, as he unbuttons the top buttons of his white dress shirt. Then looks up, as he rolls up his sleeve. "You guys are—"
His body looks like it didn't know how to react as he stands frozen in his tracks with his mouth gaping open and eyes lit in astonishment.
