Noya leaned over to me rubbing his cheek against mine. "Smile!" He giggled. I looked at the camera sticking my tongue out.
After I heard the click, Noya kissed my cheek and took another picture. Surprised, I turned to look at him. He had a slight blush on his cheeks. "Well... I wanna remember my first date with my best friend."
I patted his head. "Okay handsome." He smiled brightly appreciating my touch. If only he knew how much I actually wanted to touch him.
As soon as we were sure everyone who planned to come came, we went in together. Of course, we were the best dressed and got tons of compliments from everyone.
"Hey so.. how come you've never been on a real date?" I asked him as we were up getting a second plate of food.
He bit his lip as he looked around at what he wanted. I thought about what he would sound like if it was me bitting his lip. Or just bitting him in general. I wonder if he's into that kinda thing?
Noya finally looked up at me. "Well no ones ever asked me on a date so.."
I snorted. "Not even asahi."
He shook his head softly avoiding my gaze. I sighed scratching the back of my head. Moving over I looked at the server nodding at her that I wanted some chicken. She put some on my plate before leaning forward a little. "Hey if you want a little fun, meet me in the back in 20 minutes."
I stared at her unable to speak. Suddenly, Noya bumped my side. "He's with me."
I glanced down at him to see he was glaring at the women. She sighed softly. "Sorry I didn't think you were..."
I shook my head. "It's not like that we're just friends."
The women nodded. "Right..." she whispered before shooing us away.
Back at the table, I realized Oikawa had been gone. Iwaizumi as well. I looked at terushima for answers but he was in a deep conversation with mad dog. I tapped noya shoulder. "How much you wanna bet that they'll eventually get together?"
Noya studied them for a minute. "Oh yeah!" He laughed which filled my heart. We were sitting shoulder to shoulder and thigh to thigh. He was so much smaller than me and I'm honestly in love with that fact. I've never really been attracted to someone smaller than me.
When I dated girls, I liked them mature and rather tall. But noya.... he just... I can't explain it.
"So I guess asahi really wasn't gonna show?" Yaku asked adressing noya. Lev who was sitting next to him, was stuffing his face with fries. I snorted a little wishing I would've brought a go pro to record all this.
Noya shook his head. "Don't really care to be honest." He wrapped his small hands around my arm. "I'm having too much fun with my naka~"
I noticeably blushed. Kuroo pointed it out so I threw a fry at Kenma. Kenma jumped. "Hey!" He pouted. Bokuto laughed so kenma picked it up and threw it at him. Before bokuto could pick it up, Akaashi kissed him to distract him. We all stared at them watching as Akaashi tongue went into his mouth and bokuto cheeks became pink.
I blinked at Kuroo. Kuroo smirked. "Hell yeah bokuto that's what I'm talking about."
Akaashi pulled away continuing to eat his food. Bokuto who was embarrassed, buried his face into Akaashi back whispering something none of us could hear but it made Akaashi smile.
"Don't even think about it..." Hinata said moving from Kageyama lap to his own seat. Kageyama pouted leaning over to kiss his boyfriends cheek.
I was honestly jealous. How could they both do that so openly? That's it, I gotta kiss him tonight! I have too.
"I thought you said they weren't gonna get together?" Terushima coughed punching Kuroo shoulder.
Kuroo shrugged rubbing his shoulder. "Well... They are kinda unpredictable..."
I rolled my eyes. I glanced down at Noya but he was staring at his plate lost in thought. I leaned my mouth close to his ear. "Watcha thinking about?"
He jumped blushing as he looked up towards me. "Nothing." He rubbed his ear. He was highly embarrassed by what I just did. Wow... was it always this easy to tease him?
Eventually after everyone was full, we all got up to leave. "Hey so.... is no one gonna talk about how Iwaizumi and oikawa disappeared?" Lev mentioned throwing down a five dollar bill to contribute to the tip.
Kuroo put his hands up. "Hey man, why do you think I've been holding in my pee this whole time. I'm not going in there!"
Hinata jumped in. "Wait?! Are they... in the bathroom!!?"
Kageyama pushes Hinata a bit. "So what... we've done it in worse places.."
"KAGEYAMA!" We all laughed as the two blushed.
After saying our goodbyes, to everyone besides oikawa and Iwaizumi, we all went our separates ways.
After noya got in my car, he leaned over to kiss my cheek taking another picture. "Um.." I chuckled slightly struggling to start my car because I was distracted by him. "What was that for?.."
"I wanted a before and after photo." He smiled tilting his head softly.
Once my car was started, I drove him back to his place. My heart starting beating extremely fast when walking him to the front door, especially when he stopped and turned to me.
"I had a really good time Tanaka. Maybe we should go just us sometime." He laughed and I couldn't tell if he was being serious or not. Noya has always been the flirty type.
"I'm glad." I smiled. Fuck... I can't do it. I can't kiss him. "Well...I'll see you tomorrow then. Bye."
I turned quickly starting to walk away until my arm was yanked back. I turned to see Noya was holding onto my arm. "Aren't you forgetting something?"
I looked around. I have my keys, my jacket, my pants. "What do you mean?"
Noya looked up at me. "Well... aren't you supposed to end it with a goodnight kiss."
As he spoke I couldn't help but think he looked like a shy puppy. Oh geez. What am I gonna do with him.
Taking in a deep breath I tried to keep my cool. "Do you want one?"
Noya punched my chest. "Don't make me answer that Tanaka."
I grabbed his wrist pulling him closer. "Aww... only Tanaka?"
He blushed but didn't look away. "Naka~"
My heart was racing. Like a jogger just ran a 100 mile marathon and got told there were 2 extra miles.
I leaned in for the kiss ready to close my eyes when his front door opened.
"Noya?!"
I let go quickly standing up to see who it was. It was Asahi. Suddenly my chest felt heavy.
"A-asahi...."
Asahi glared at me. "What do you think your doing with my boyfriend?"
I stepped back. "Boyfriend?" I looked at Noya but he stared at the ground. Asahi wrapped his arm around his shoulders.
"Yeah. Noya didn't you tell him?"
"Tell me what?" Noya still didn't look at me.
Asahi answered for him. "We are dating. Again. Because we love each other that much and if you have a problem with it... you can take it out on me."
I felt stupid so so so fucking stupid. Stupid for believe he could ever be mine. Stupid for giving my hopes up like that. Stupid for thinking he actually wanted me back. Stupid for thinking everything we did meant something to him.
"Oh..um..." I could feel the tears gathering in my eyes. Without finishing what I had to say I turned around and walked to my car.
Noya called my name but asahi quickly shushed him. I got into the car barely able to focus because my eyes were so blinded with tears. Shit this hurts.
As soon as I got the car started, I rushed out of his neighborhood and back to my own house. My heart felt like the thunder after the lightening. Extremely painful and fast.
As soon as I was home, I threw my keys on the counter and walked to the bathroom. I saw myself and the mirror and laughed, then cried harder. My phone was blowing up in my pocket. Probably the group chat. I slide down against the wall to the side of me. My phone screen lit up. The only chats I had were from the group chat and none from noya.
This isn't fair...
I laid my head into my knees.
How come I'm the only one who felt something?
