Alexei was sulking in his room thinking about today's events when Dmitri entered.
"Why are you acting like a melodramatic hero in Shakespeare's novel?" Dmitri asked while he plopped on Alexei's bed and sighed in comfort.
"Shakespeare was masochist and overly melodramatic. I don't want to be a character in his novel ever. I think I have met him. He was writing his novel in bar when I approached him. Oh those times. I miss old days. Though I never liked him much, as a writer or as a person. Besides I can't be a hero according to Cayden."
"Shakespeare was a legend. His work is celebrated. Don't be so harsh in your judgment. And why are you acting so rude and from where did the matter of Cayden came?" Dmitri asked while chuckling.
Alexei rolled his eyes and let go of his comment. "Why are you so happy?" He asked Dmitri suspiciously.
"Oh I got laid."
"That surely explains your cheerfulness." Alexei replied.
"I was so tensed with all these hunters and stuff. I needed a release. It was either binge booze or rough sex escapade. I chose the latter." Dmitri winked.
Alexei huffed. "You are quite lucky. I am not able to screw any of my female friends since I got feelings for Valerie."
"You are kidding!" Dmitri asked astounded. He got up to sit. "You, the greatest casanova of the century have not bedded a single girl from past few months."
Alexei glared and Dmitri laughed. "You must be smitten hard by her. If you want I can arrange.."
"Don't complete that sentence Dmitri. I am charming enough to get any girl I want. It's just I want to be loyal to Valerie in this relationship."
"Loyal, relationship! The two words are joke. You are kidding right. There has to be a relationship to begin with. Loyalty is a far shore." Dmitri pointed out.
"She kissed me and she is having amorous dreams about me." Alexei whispered yelled. "I have chances here, which you clearly don't want to see. Because you want her to end up with that wolf."
"Sorry to break your heart brother. She kissed you and then she immediately repented doing it. As for dreams it is your sire bond that is attracting her towards you physically. She respects you no doubt but believe it or not she does not love you. Her heart belongs to Cayden. She may fight or quarrel with him, but she will always be his. Always." He replied smiling.
"How I wish to wipe that smile out of your bloody face. You are a jerk, you know that Dmitri. Forget me and my melodramatic life, who was the girl that put you in such a good mood?" Alexei sat beside him on his bed.
"Flora." Dmitri said in a sing sang voice. "She is too good in bed. Her moves, the way she moans. She is a pro. All sweet ones are wild at bed." He winked mischievously.
"You screwed Valerie's Oracle!" Alexei asked. "You are lucky oracles don't have mates else you would be a dead meat by now."
"And that is why she is safe." Dmitri replied. "We are meeting again tonight."
Alexei sighed. "I miss my old days when I never had feelings for someone."
Dmitri looked towards him and then cracked open in laughter. Alexei punched him but then he too started laughing.

On the other hand Valerie and Cayden were consummating their bond physically and were cooped up in Cayden's room after the warehouse incident.
"This is just me relieving my stress. This has nothing to do with you or with our bond." Valerie said panting after Cayden took her to another high. She was glistening in sweat along with Cayden. "I am just using you Cayden." She stressed the word using.
Cayden planted kisses on Valerie's bare back making her moan. "I don't have any problem getting used."
He flipped her on her back and hovered over her. "Deny how much you want to deny but it is a fact that you love me. If somehow we forget the mate bond or it gets subtracted from our life, I am quite confident that you will still choose me."
He placed his lips on hers and kissed her with zealous and passion. Valerie moaned and bit his lips in ecstasy. She jerked her hips forwards to create some friction at her aching core. Cayden smiled in between the kiss at her eagerness.
"All ready again for the third time?" He asked her while kissing her lips in between.
He left her lips only to torture her bust. He took her left globe in his mouth and created havoc in her body. He used his skilled fingers to create a beautiful rhythm at her core making her moan and gasp in pleasure.
Satisfied with his administration he entered her with much force that made her gasp both in pain and pleasure. He started moving with a rhythmic pace taking Valerie to new heights of pleasure.
"I am close." She panted.
"So am I." He groaned and with that they both experienced the orgasmic bliss at once.
"That was awesome." Cayden whispered. "Ready for another round?"
"We have already gone for third. I am tired and sleepy besides tomorrow I have to go to the hospital early." She said nonchalantly.
"Do you think you will be able to frighten me with your I don't care, I am here only for sex attitude? I know you better Valerie. If you only needed the release you could have gone to Alexei but you didn't. He would have been more than happy to give what you wanted."
"If I am not wrong, it was you who said that we should meet like two alphas and take a break with rest of the relationship stuff. As far as going to Lexi is concerned. I could have gone to him but that would have given him false hope. I don't want him to feel like he was a rebound when we are taking a break. Technically he is my mate too. He could have given me the same amount of pleasure as you are."
"Valerie." Cayden said her name in warning. "Enough. You are my mate as I am yours. Nothing can change it. Now shut up and sleep."
"I think I should leave for my pack. Sleeping next to each other after physical exhilaration feel like something couples do. Since we are taking break, it is better for me to leave."
"Valerie just stay. I don't want to fight."
It was something in his eyes and the exhaustion in his voice that compelled Valerie and she laid beside him. Just few moments were passed when her cell phone rang. It was Kevin. He informed her that Charles has gained consciousness and is asking for her. She sprinted out of bed and started getting dressed.
Cayden had heard the whole conversation. He too started getting dressed.
"I am coming with you." He replied when Valerie looked towards him confused.

"Are you sure?" A dark deep voice asked. "But how is it possible? Sofia died without giving birth to a child"
"Jack moved from Oregon after Sofia died with a baby boy. Jack got settled in Alaska. Sofia was already a mother to a child when you kidnapped her and raped." The other person named Kyle replied.
"How can you be so sure? Jack and Sofia were way before your time kid." The deep dark voice that belonged to Randall asked. "She was mine. She betrayed me. She got what she deserved, betraying your own husband for a filthy wolf."
"If Jack's clan survived and is living in Alaska, I want to know who his grandkids are. I will destroy them myself once again. I think I will have to put my plan into action soon. Give me the required information and you will be rewarded handsomely."
Kyle smiled and nodded. He left to completely gain the information. Randall on the other hand was burning in new vengeance. He thought he had destroyed Jack but he was wrong. His hatred for the werewolves increased ten folds.

Valerie cursed when they reached the hospital. Cayden asked her why is she so stressed to which she replied that she will be reeking of him after their physical consummation.
Cayden smiled and gave her his body spray to tone down the scent. Both of them knew that it was no use but it will help in lessening the natural scent of their body.
When the duo reached there they found everyone except Jennifer standing outside the ICU.
"They are only allowing one person at a time." Kevin answered her unasked question. Valerie nodded in understanding.
"Why have you loaded yourself with body spray? It is irritating my senses and I am sure it is irritating every werewolf present here. You are not able to mask Cayden's scent. Nobody will judge you for having sex with him."
Valerie gasped. "You are my brother Kevin."
"So I am not allowed to comment on my sister's sexual life?" Kevin asked while rolling his eyes.
Cayden snickered standing at a side earning a glare from Valerie.
"By the way I found my mate. She is a doctor here and yes before you ask she is a werewolf. Her name is Lisa." Kevin said.
Valerie hugged her brother. "I am so happy for you."
"Yea thanks but stop with hugging Val. Your spray is really irritating my nose. I will make sure you meet her in the morning. She is on call for the night and she is very professional."
"Have you guys marked each other?" Valerie asked like an excited child.
"No we haven't. I just found out few hours ago. Jezz Val sometimes you act so stupid."
"Yea whatever."
Jennifer came out smiling and looked towards Valerie. "He is asking for you."
"Thank God Charles is human else he would have lost his consciousness again due to Valerie's fragrance." Genesis who was sitting on one the stools said while snickering.
Valerie rolled her eyes at her sister and left to meet her half brother. When she entered she found a weak Charles lying on the bed.
"You gave us all a scare." Valerie said.
"Please don't start crying. It was very difficult for me to console mother in such condition lying here with thousands of tubes stuck inside me."
Valerie laughed at his brother attempt to make a joke. "I promise I won't. But I am really ashamed of myself. You gave Cayden the authority for the decisions concerning your health not your sister."
"I gave him the authority because he is not related to me by blood. You would have gone emotional and may have or may not have allowed the administration of those drugs without knowing the consequences. It was analytical decision. Your emotions could act as hindrance, the reason why I chose Cayden."
Valerie nodded in understanding. "How are you feeling?"
"Numb, with all the pain medications I am feeling nothing. I am lucky to be alive. Now I understand why you were so hell bent on providing me security."
"But you are stubborn mule." Valerie replied smiling.
"Just like my sister." Charles replied back.
"I should go. Genesis and Kevin are waiting outside to meet you."
"Okay. I have something important to tell you. Make sure you visit me tomorrow."
"I will." Valerie replied.
