The trackers brought Valerie, Cayden and Jason to an abandoned warehouse. The environment was eerie and both alphas were feeling that something was not right. They were watching the abandoned warehouse by hiding behind the bushes.
"I saw them here. They were four of them and they were plotting about kidnapping someone. I was here for quite a long time. I observed their activities with the hawk's eye. No one important came to visit them but they were talking about making few hide outs for the newly appointed hunters."
"So how do you think we should precede, Sam?" Valerie asked the tracker.
He was taken aback by the question of his alpha and he asked surprised. "Are you asking me, alpha?"
"Yes and why not. You have watched them whole day and you know how they operate. So you are our best chance."

On the other end, Autumn and Flora were sitting and chatting in Autumn's room and were having coffee. Flora was teasing Autumn about the boy they met in the mall the other day when suddenly Flora started gasping. The coffee mug fell from her hands and her eyes turned white. Autumn knew she was having a vision so she did not disturb her.
"We need to save alpha." Flora said breathlessly once she was out of trance.
"Oh God! Flora, why do you always see danger and destruction for Valerie? Can't you for once predict butterflies and flowers? What is it this time?"
"I am very offended with what you have to say but I will let it go for now. The visions I see are not in my hand. Keeping that thing aside, where ever she is now, she is in grave danger."
Autumn thought that for a moment and then replied. "Can you trace her location?"
"Yes." Flora replied.
"Then I have the perfect person who can help us now." Autumn winked and stood up to walk followed by a confused Flora.

Valerie and Cayden were taking a casual round of the warehouse whereas Jason and Sam were finding the way to enter it unnoticed. They had used potion made by Autumn to mask their scents.
"It is quite abnormal that we are wandering here and yet no one has come to inquire about our motives. We have made our presence known so that the hunters get distracted and Jason and Sam can enter. But no one has paid any heed to us." Valerie spoke the thing that was bothering her.
"I am having a feeling that this is a trap. I don't know how but I can feel it in my bones." Cayden replied. "They are plotting something."
"I agree. But it's not like we are not showing ourselves." Valerie reasoned.
Before Cayden could reply someone shouted for their attention. They looked back to see an average looking man both in looks and in physique standing there.
"What are you doing here?" The man asked approaching them.
"We were informed that we can find witches here." Cayden replied before Valerie could open her mouth. She looked towards him uncannily.
The man laughed. "You guys are fools. Who told you that?"
"Our friends." Cayden replied.
"You bunch of college going idiots would do anything for adventure. What do you guys call it these days? Yeah. We want to do something cool and get high on adrenaline. Live our lives adventurously. I had a daughter like you. She went into the jungle to find out about the werewolves and never returned. Those bastards killed her for invading their territory."
"Not all are like them." Valerie replied before she could stop herself.
"You seem to know them personally." The man asked suspiciously.
"I have heard it from my one of friends. She is mates with one of the werewolf."
"People like them are destined to be burned in hell. Such humans are taboo to the entire human race. They along with the rest of the werewolves will be vanished from this country."
"We should go." Cayden suggested. Valerie nodded in response.
"I don't think so." The man interjected.
"We are waiting for some werewolves. Once they show up, we will kill them. I hope it's that alpha bitch herself whose brother we had beaten to death and not her petty soldiers. I would like you to see that scene yourself. That would be something that will give you an actual high and will reveal the true face of those scum bags."
"You are sick." Valerie roared.
The man laughed menacingly. "Yeah sick and twisted. I lost my soul the day I lost my daughter. They raped and then killed my daughter."
"It is not a work of some pack. Maybe few rouge wolves did that. A pack wolf will never do such thing." Valerie spoke.
"Are you mental?" Cayden said in frustration, because she was blowing up her cover by getting emotional and justifying werewolves.
"I think you are very closely related to them. You are definitely not going anywhere." The man spoke.
"I was not intending to go." Valerie replied. "As you suggested we will have to wait to see the killings of werewolves.
The man smiled maliciously. "Yes we are calling the witch if that bitch alpha came by. She will be tortured to death."
Valerie and Cayden shared a look.
"Alpha it is a set up. They are preparing for some witch-ly ceremony to kill the werewolves." Jason informed Valerie through telepathy. "And our potion is wearing off."
Get out of here now. It's an order and will be obeyed immediately." Valerie replied back.
"I won't leave you behind at any cost." Jason said.
"Do as I say. I have enough amount to mask my scent for few hours. Go."
"I won't leave you."
"Just go Jason and bring Autumn here."
"Our pack is quite far. I am not leaving."
"Stubborn fool." Valerie said loudly.
The man looked towards her in question but Cayden understood that she was having a talk through telepathy with Jason.
"I am really sorry for your loss but not all werewolves are bad just like not all humans are hunters." Valerie said
"I did not mention hunters." The man said.
"Exactly. You did not." Valerie answered and the next moment she punched him in the gut. The punch was lethal and he bent over in pain. Cayden used his presence of mind and kneed him in the nose. Valerie made use of the moment and used her side of hand to knock him out by putting the pressure behind his ear.
"I think you are handling the situation quite well."
Valerie and Cayden got startled. When they looked behind they found a smirking Alexei standing.
"What are you doing here?" Valerie asked.
"Helping you, of course. Your darling oracle predicted that you are in grave danger. So here I am to help you."
"She was right. It is a trap to allure us in. They are going to call the witch and do some hokey pokey to us all." Valerie replied.
"Hokey pokey. Really Val!" Alexei said amused.
"Anyways we better leave." Alexei suggested and Valerie nodded. She turned around to ask Cayden but she found him missing.
"Where did he go?" Valerie asked in frustration.
As if to answer the question a blast was heard. The looked towards warehouse to see that it was blown in pieces. She looked horrified towards it.
"Where is everybody?" She yelled in panic.
Jason and Sam came running by towards them and few meters away she saw a smiling Cayden walking towards them leisurely.
"You did this!" Valerie asked surprised.
"You wanted revenge for your brother and I gave you one." Cayden replied nonchalantly.
"How did you manage?" She asked.
"I have my ways." He replied in a no nonsense way and started walking. "Aren't you guys coming?" He asked the rest who were standing there gob smacked.
When they reached there, Cayden whispered in Alexei's ear. "There can be only one hero in a story and in this story that hero is me. Your help was really not needed. I always come prepared." He walked ahead after saying that.
"What was he saying?" Valerie asked.
"Nothing." Alexei replied in a monotone.
