Her fragrance trailed behind her.
It was a strong scent,
One that could be recognized instantly
And unwillingly,
I noticed instantly.

I pulled out my phone
And dialed a number.
The other end connected.
"Ms. Mafilla, how can I help you?"
"Mr. Cain, I need you to check on someone."
"Who might that be?"
"Ms. Valentine."
"I will do my best."
"Find out her relationship with Shawn."
"Okay."
"Thank you."
I hung up
And right after,
A message was sent to me.
[Message from Shawn ❤💗💖💓 ]
I clicked on the notification
[Sorry, I have to cancel our dinner tonight.]
