M: I just... I just wished my parents were here today.
S: Mon... (Sam went on to hug Mon tightly trying to soothe her)
M: I don't want to be sad today, Sam
It's just.... I know my dad always wanted to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day.
I'm just thinking what my parents would think.
They would be so disappointed, right?
I didn't want them to feel left out, but there was no way for them to fly out in time for our wedding, and I didn't want to continue waiting
S: Shhhh... don't cry.
I know your parents would understand Mon.
M: Will they really, Sam?
They won't blame me, right?
S: I'm sorry. I know you rushed everything to comfort me, so it not your fault, okay, Mon?

S: Hmmm... tell you what...
How about let's call your parents so they could at least be in the wedding?
M: But it's around 530pm Sam
S: Yes, and that would make it around 730 in the morning in Thailand Mon
(Mon instantly perked up when she heard this and immediately went to hunt for her phone
She then calmed herself and called her mom)
Ring ring ring ring
M: they're not picking up Sam
(Mon said in the verge of tears)
Ring ring ring ring
(With every second of waiting, Mon's heart kept dropping.
Were her parents still asleep?
No, that can't be
They have always been early risers
So, what then?
Were they busy?
Please, please, please answer)
P: Mon?
We're so happy you called.
We missed you, princess!
How are you and Sam?
M: I missed you guys too so much!
P: What's wrong, Mon?
M: How do you do that, Mom?
How do you always know when something is wrong?
P: That's because I'm your mom
And well you have always been a bad actor Mon
(Mon chuckled at this. Shook her head and said)
M: i really did miss you, Mom and Dad
Just let me know if you want to come back to the US, okay?
We could always have it arranged.
There are enough rooms in the house for you to stay in anytime you plan to visit
(Sam snatched the phone from Mon's hand)
S: Mom, Dad
(This caught the old couple by surprise.
Though they have long adjusted to Sam and Mon being together, this was the first time that Sam had called them mom and dad
Pohn looked at her husband lost for words)
P: uhm, hi Sam. How are you?
S: I'm great, Mom.
So the reason why we called today is because Mon and I are getting married, and we wanted you to be a part of it
P: Wait, what?
Getting married?
Wow! Congratulations!
Finally! So when is it?
(Sam then flipped the camera and showed the venue
Gasps can be heard from the phone immediately)
P: You mean you plan to get married now?
S: Yes,
We really wanted you to be here today
It means a lot to Mon
P: But why were we only told now?
S: I only found out myself a couple of moments ago mom
Mon surprised me with a wedding today, so I am as surprised as you are
Mon said she wanted to fly you guys over but didn't have enough time to do so
So we thought that if you can't be here with us physically, at least, you could be with us every step of the way all the way from Thailand.
P: uhm, thank you, Sam
(Mon took back her phone from Sam)
M: A lot of things happened, mom
I promise to tell you the full story later, ok?
Please don't be sad.
I know you want to be here for our wedding too, and I really wanted that it's just that getting you back to the US would take time, and Sam and I couldn't wait
(Sam took back the phone from Mon)
S: Mom, listen
this is just Mon's surprise for me.
When Mon is ready, we will hold a real wedding!
I will make it big and grand!
I promise that it'd be a wedding she will never forget!
I will make sure the whole world knows and would envy me for marrying your beautiful daughter!
When that time comes, I promise you, you both will be with us.
You will be able to walk Mon on the aisle like you deserve
Please believe in me.
(Mon, incredibly touched, was crying beside Sam.
Looking at Sam like this, Mon can't help but fall even more in love with Sam
Her heart had swelled, and all the more now, does she feel incredibly stupid for having so much doubts in wanting to marry someone as perfect and loving as Sam
She was a lucky woman to have Sam's love.
It further validated her initial opinion that she had done the right thing
Everything is worth it to see the smile in Sam's face)
P: Thank you, Sam.
we'll leave our baby in your hands, ok?
S: I promise to take care of Mon to the best of my abilities. Mom and Dad
P: ok, good. Give us 5 mins. We'll just change
I want to dress well today
S: ok! (Sam said cheerfully she then held Mon's hands and smiled brightly)
S: Mission accomplished!
Are you happy now, love?
M: Thank you, Sam
Thank you for everything.
S: No, Mon, thank you for loving me.
I promise you won't regret choosing me.
M: I believe you (Mon said with a smile. Sam then wiped her tears away)
S: Now go and have your makeup retouched.
I'll give your phone to Kade. Once your parents are back. We'll start with the wedding, ok?
J: Finally!!!! We thought you guys were just going to stay all sappy and forget about the wedding!
S: Do you want to die?
J: Mon! Sam is bullying me again!
M: hahahha Goodluck Jim!
J: You traitor!
S: Stop shouting at my wife!
One more Jim and I will feed you to the sharks!
J: Geez! You're getting more and more brutal! Hmph!

After a couple of minutes
S: Mon, since your parents aren't here today. How about I take their place and walk with you instead?
M: But wouldn't grandmother want to walk you to the aisle, Sam?
S: Grandma could do it when we get married for real, ok?
M: Sam, you keep saying married for real
Is this a joke wedding for you?
(Mon said slightly offended)
S: Of course, not love!
I just believe that you deserve a wedding grander than this!
You gave me this wedding, Mon.
So when you're ready to announce it to the rest of the world, it would be my turn to give you one.
I promise to give you a wedding that you truly deserve! Wait for it!
M: Sam, I don't need a big wedding
S: I know, but I need it.
I need to give you a wedding that you deserve, Mon
Plus, I need to show the whole world that you are mine!
I also want them to see that I love, cherish, and pamper you so they won't get any ideas.
Now, if everything is all settled, can we get married now?
Let's make this fast so that these people could leave and we could start out honeymoon already
