It was the morning of the court hearing for the custody battle, Georgia woke up to find Arizona not in bed but a hand written note left on her pillow.

I didn't want to wake you but I was called into the hospital at 4am, there was an emergency with the Jenny girl we saw a few weeks back. I will meet you at the court house, I love you.

Georgia got out of bed and showered ready for the day. She got Timothy up and dressed in his spiderman costume so she could drop him off with Maggie at Merediths house. They got in the car a drove straight over.
Timothy; where's mommy?
Russell; mommy had to go to work early this morning but you will see her later when we pick you and sofia up.
Timothy; I get to play with SoSo today.
Russell; yes baby and Zola, Bailey and baby Ellis.
Timothy gasping; yay me and Bawie are superhewos.
Russell; I know you are but you will play nice with the girls though, promise?
Timothy; I will mama.
Russell; good boy. Here we go.
Georgia got him out of the car and spotted Callie pull up with Sofia and Penny.
Timothy; Auntie Cawie! Soso!
Russell; whoa slow down little man... hey... Callie, Penny.
Torres awkwardly smiling; Georgia. (Timothy hugged Callies leg) Hey Little guy, wow I love your costume.
Timothy stood in superhero pose; I'm spiderman.
Russell; come on let's get you inside.
Torres; where's Arizona?
Russell; she got called into the hospital, she is meeting me there. Hey Maggie, thanks for having them.
Torres; yeah sorry about this.
Peirce; It's the best way to spend the day off, hey kids I was thinking pancakes for breakfast?
Sofia & Timothy; with chocolate chips
Peirce; crazytown! Let do it. Does Sofia know what her mommies are doing today?
Torres; nope, we're gonna talk to her when we know exactly what's happening.
Russell; I'd better go. (Hugging the kids goodbye) I'll see you two later, okay, be good for Maggie.
She gave them both a kiss on the head before getting up to leave.
Russell; thanks again Maggie, I'll see you there Callie, Penny.
Georgia walked to her car and took a deep breath before driving to the court house. On arrival she spotted Richard Webber sat on a bench with three cups of coffee so she headed over to him.
Russell; she not here yet?
Webber; no, not yet, here I brought you this, I ground the beans myself.
Russell; thanks. Mmm that's good.
Webber; oh here she comes now.
Robbins; hey.
Webber; here, I ground the beans myself.
Robbins; thanks, let's go.
Russell; beaut, wait we have a few minutes.
Webber; how you feeling? Robbins? It'll be tough, but right now you have to look past past pain to what you'll have when they're done.
Russell; at the end you'll have a baby.
Robbins smiling; that's what I tell all the labouring mom's.
Russell; I know.
Webber; your not drinking.
Robbins; oh, right.
They turned around to see Callie and Penny walking towards the courthouse, Arizona and Callie exchanged a look and Georgia took hold of Arizonas hand giving it a gently squeeze in reassurance.
Judge kane; we are here today to determine a custody modification of a minor between two divorced parents, Arizona Robbins and Calliope Torres. The trials witness pool is unusual in that it will be shared by both parents. The parties have stipulated to call each witness once at which time each side will have a chance to examine that witness. Your testifying, remember this is not a popularity contest, you are not choosing sides. We are all on the same side, the side of a 6 year old child. Dr Torres, Dr Robbins, custody hearings are, without exception, are very difficult on all parties involved, your daughter included, things said here will undoubtedly be harsh and cannot be unsaid. I ask this of parents before I begin any custody hearing. Are you both sure you want to proceed?
Robbins; yes, your Honor. I'm sure.
Judge kane; Dr Torres?
Torres; I'm sure. Your Honor.
Judge kane; then this court is now in session to determine the sole physical custody of Sofia Robbin Sloan Torres.
Georgia knew she was going to be the second person called to the stand but first was Owen Hunt, they asked him all about the charity work Dr Torres does with him for injured vets.
Webber whispering; charity work and the vet card, that's smart.
Russell whispering; yeah, that's not good for Az.
Hunt; ... she's found a great school for Sofia, and she's making the best of a tough situation with grace, it's something I admire about her.
Carpio; no further questions at this time.
Owen Hunt stepped down and went back to his seat. The judge then called Georgia to the stand.
Gamble; your married to Dr Robbins, right?
Russell; yes I am.
Gamble; and how long have you knows Sofia now?
Russell; I was there when she was born, I'm actually her god mother.
Gamble; okay and you and Dr Robbins share a child? How do they get along?
Russell; yes we do, Her and our son have such an amazing bond. It is beautiful to see how well they get on and how excited they are to see eachother.
Gamble; no further questions.
Carpio; Dr Russell, would you say you love Sofia?
Russell; of course I do, I mean I could never replace Callie but I definitely feel like she is one of my own and I'd never treat her any differently to our son.
Carpio; and what about your next child? Dr Robbins is expecting your second child, correct.
Russell; yes she is, but just because we are expecting our second together would never mean Sofia would be treated any differently.
Carpio; thank you no further questions.
Penny then took the stand.
Gamble; How well would you say you have gotten to know Sofia?
Blake; very well.
Gamble; that's very good, what's her favourite color
Blake; blue.
Gamble; what's her favourite toy?
Carpio; objection this is not a quiz show.
Gamble; I'm trying to establish Dr blakes relationship with Sofia.
Judge kane; I'll allow it.
Blake; her favourite toy is astronaut barbie, her favourite cereal is whole grain Os, her favourite animal is a unicorn and her favourite sea creature is a mermaid and her bedtime is 8.30 and her favourite thing to do in the morning is to pick her outfit, you can ask me anything you want.
Gamble; what was Sofia wearing this morning?
Blake; what?
Gamble; what was she wearing today?
Blake; i- I don't know.
Gamble; you didn't see her?
Blake; no.. I did I just can't recall exactly what...
(Russell whispering to herself; pink flower pattern dress top with jeans and her purple coat.)
Gamble; what grade is Sofia in?
Blake; second. No wait first

Gamble; thank you no further questions.
They took a quick recess, Georgia took Arizona outside to get some air.
Russell; I know I shouldn't but do you mind if I smoke.
Robbins; have one for me. Oh babe this is so hard.
Russell; I actually felt really bad for Penny. I had it easy from the lawyers compared to her.
After her smoke and a quick cup of coffee it was time to go back inside, Dr Bailey was next to take the stand.
Carpio; ...Dr Bailey, would you say Dr Robbins schedule can be dictated by the unpredictable nature of childbirth.
Bailey; it can be, but...
Carpio; how many unscheduled emergency procedures did Dr Robbins log over the last 6 months.
Bailey; I have no idea.
Carpio; I'd like to introduce into evidence document 2C, take a look this might refresh your memory, what is that report doctor?
Bailey; this is a list of emergency procedures performed by Dr Robbins and Dr Torres for the past 6 months.
Carpio; and according to that document how many emergency procedures did Dr Torres log in the last 6 months?
Bailey; uh... 27.
Carpio; 27...and how many did Dr Robbins log?
Bailey; 92.
Carpio; now even for a surgeon, wouldn't you call that kind of schedule gruelling?
Bailey; you can say that, I wouldn't. I would say it's wildly successful. But then I would never put a woman's success in the con column.
Carpio; what about her daughter though? 92 times she dropped everything, Sofia included to go to a job.
Bailey; would you ask that if she were a man?
Carpio; 92 times she chose work over her child.
Bailey; 92 times Dr Robbins was saving babies, saving parents from loosing their own children.
Carpio; no further questions.
Gamble whispering; Don't get discouraged, their trying to turn your strength into weakness
Judge kane; this court is adjourned until tomorrow.
Georgia and Arizona left the courthouse hand in hand not a word was spoken until they got to the cars
Robbins; I have to go back to check on Jenny.
Russell; no problem, we had better get the kids before you go though. Don't want to look bad for having to work.
Robbins; your right let's go get them.
Georgia drove them to Merediths house after they dropped Arizonas car at home. Knocking on the door Meredith answered.
Grey; oh hey you two, Sofia, Timothy your mommies are here.
Russell; thanks Mer.
Grey; I couldn't stay there any longer, it was getting too hard to watch. How did it go?
Russell; it was adjourned until tomorrow.
Robbins; hey babies, ready to go home?
Timothy; Mommy! Mama!
Sofia; Mommy can you read me Charlotte's Web tonight, please?
Robbins; of course I can.
Russell; thanks again to Maggie and you. See you tomorrow.

They all went home and while Gerorgia bathed Timothy, Arizona went to quickly check on Jenny at the hospital before going to the store and buying some ice cream for Sofia, Georgia and herself to have when Timothy was asleep in bed.
