George POV.
That was honestly kinda fun, trying out being a cheerleader but I doubt I'll ever actually become one, I thought to myself as I sat in the car. Clay was driving and I knew I couldn't show any signs that I enjoyed it (despite the overwhelming fear) because he'll end up signing me up to become one again, if Coach McAuley gets over the fact that we (mainly Niki and Puffy) disobeyed one of the only rules she laid out.
Niki and Puffy. I felt bad for them, they shouldn't have gotten in trouble in my opinion. But they did, and they're probably going to be kicked from their cheer squad. Although I thought cheerleading was a waste a valuable time, they both seemed to enjoy it and I felt bad that they could lose the ability to do this.
I slumped back in my seat feeling annoyed, why the hell did Clay have to sign me up to be a cheerleader in the first place? He knew I would hate it and probably would be shit at it too.
Before we left the hall I had pulled the Clay's oversized hoodie back over myself to cover my uniform from the eyes of any students that may be hanging around the school, but hadn't found the time to take it off. Even though we'd been sitting in the car with the opportunity for me to do that for about 5 minutes.
The blond was definitely getting concerned with me wearing this, especially with the extremely hot weather of late Spring causing it to be about 80°F (27°C), my body was burning but I still refused to take the item of clothing off.
My mind started getting dizzy, going slightly crazy from the heat and I soon found myself slumped over unconcious.
Clay POV.
Why the hell is George still wearing that hoodie? It is not good for him to be wearing that when it's almost 80°F, he told me this morning that he didn't want to be seen wearing the cheerleader uniform but still, this was a reckless decision he made... And I didn't talk him out of it, I should of told him to wear something else on this scorching hot day so he wouldn't be effected as badly as he was.
I kept sending sideways glances to him while in the car, why was he still wearing it now? I did turn the aircon on, but it wasn't so cold that you needed to bundle up in 50 layers or anything like that.
George eyes kept brushing over to meet mine as we drove and I tried saying something but he ignored me, seeming totally spaced out.
At one point I looked away from him for a moment, possibly even less and turned back to find the brunette leaning against the window unconcious.
When I saw that, I sped up. Going as fast as I dared without getting caught by the cops.
Once the Ferrari was in it's usual spot in the garage I went around to the brunettes side and lifted him out of the car as he lay limply in my arms.
Firstly, I took off the green hoodie which wasn't helping anyone but then began carrying him through to the onsite doctor, who was typing something up on his computer when I entered the room.
He took one look at George, who was turning a slight red before instructing me to lay him on the bed in the corner of the room. The doctor asked me to explain what happened and so I did, as we heard a still unconscious George groan from the heat as the doc gave me instructions on how to help him.
"Take him too his room and try and call him down, use these-" as he spoke he moved his way over to a small refrigerator which contained several medical supplies that needed to, including ice packs, which he handed to me.
I lifted George off the bed and carried him to his bedroom, ignoring the cold sting of the ice packs as I carried the Bri to his room.
He was now laying on his bed with one of the ice pack resting on his head and the other on his chest as I sat on the edge of the bed cautiously, not wanting to wake him up.
It felt horrible that he was like this. The doctor took George's temperature before we left the room and he revealed it was higher than normal, so I sat patiently for almost an hour hoping he'd cool down before he woke up.
Too late though, I felt a pair of hot, almost clammy hands wrapping around mine. "What happened?" He mumbled tiredly as he leaned his head against my arm.
"You passed out from the heat so I brought you here. Are you ok?" I asked him, my left arm, the arm closest to the brunettes wrapping around his back.
"No because I'm freezing from those damn ice packs now." He complained, too which I chuckled slightly.
"That was part of the point Georgie, to cool you down."
He rolled his eyes in annoyance, then wrapped his arm around the arm he was leaning on and fell back onto the bed, dragging me down with him.
Immediately he snuggled into me and burried his head into my shirt, seeming extremely tired, or seeming extremely nervous after that weird prep hold he had to do with the pair of cheerleaders earlier, which made me feel exhausted by how hard that looked, but hey I guess it would be better seeing it up close rather than from halfway up the stands of a football stadium where everyone yelled in your ear and you couldn't see anything..
George was almost asleep when I glanced back down at him. His blue eyes met my green ones briefly, "thank you Clay, for being the best pillow and bodyguard ever. I love you." He muttered as his eyes fluttered shut and he drifted off too sleep.
As he said that my heart melted at his words, did he really say all of that?
'Thank you Clay, for being the best pillow and bodyguard ever. I love you.'
I gave a small smile showing genuine happiness as I soon fell asleep beside him.
