I hear the loud pitter-patter of rain rippling down the glass window of the office. It's been raining all night, making my mood even worst than it already is.
Namjoon and Yoongi are seating across each other on the conference table in front of me, eyes both focused on a laptop screen. Meanwhile, my mind is engulfing in negative thoughts, as I pace in-front of the glass window with the view of the heavy rain.
Where could she be?
It has been three days, and we still haven't found her or any idea where should could be. I'm beginning to think that bastard took her out of the country.
But wherever she is right now, I just hope she's safe and Jungkook doesn't lay any hands on her or touch her in any way or else I will have no other choice than to kill my own brother for real this time.
"Bro, you need to relax," Yoongi suddenly takes me out of my thoughts, stoping my pacing.
"Relax?" I sneer, turning towards him. I hold onto the bottle of alcohol in my hand with so much anger, wanting to crush it. "You expect me to relax when my fiancé is out there with her ex." My voice was harsh and defensive. I couldn't help it, everything is triggering me. There is no way I can stay calm in a situation like this.
Yoongi looks at me unaffected of my burst in anger towards him. "Bro, I've been trying hard to locate her but Jungkook is too damn smart in hiding his tracks."
Jungkook had managed to get through two of most strongest guards that I had always picking y/n up from work.
I thought doubling the security around her and having Yoongi and Namjoon come check up at her at her office, would somehow keep her safe. But Jungkook really got through those two, then ambush the car packed with guards following her right behind.
I should have Yoongi and Namjoon picking her up. I only trust them. But their busy with mob duties.
Fuck, how I could keep y/n safe once we get married if I can't even keep her safe now?
"Yeah, we underestimated Jungkook," Namjoon finally speaks, sounding exhausted, as he too lays back onto his chair. The two been working hard in helping me find y/n. "He managed to take down all the guards, then somehow erase his tracks in where that car had went. All security footage has been deleted. That man really thought ahead. He must have been planning this from time—or he's just that slick."
I keep quiet, thinking hard once again. Not wanting to accept that he really outdone me. I didn't know how to get through to him. The first day she was gone, we had immediately head towards the Jeon mansion. But he had his entire place surrounded. I had nothing against the K-Gods to threatened them with anything.
"This is why you shouldn't hire a bunch of idiots, like all those dumb ass guards," Yoongi leers in frustration.
Namjoon looks at yoongi, then sighs. "Don't worry Jimin. I'm sure we'll find her and bring her back."
If she even wants to come back...
I couldn't help it anymore. I exhale in frustration as I sit onto the floor, feeling dejected, swollen with emotions. I feel like I'm going out of my mind.
I just feel tired of everything. I just wanted y/n and I to finally be together, leaving all this shit behind. I got tired of seeing her hurt and crying over a guy that done nothing but hurt her. I had always kept her close, ensuring she doesn't lose herself again. She had become a great woman, compared to the one I had first met—insecure, unconfident and always lowered herself down, when she was always capable of so many things.
"I just..." I finally speak but I remain seated onto the floor, feeling defeated. "...I just love her so much, you don't understand."
Namjoon looks at me looking concern. "No, we understand. Heck, I've never seen you this worked out about anybody, and you're never the one to confess your love about a girl in-front of us."
There's a sudden silence until Yoongi cuts in, trying to make light of the situation but fails to. "But who would have thought it be your own younger brother who—"
He abruptly stops once Namjoon gives him a hard look, shifting his sarcastic demeanour. Then Yoongi sighs in defeat, looking more serious now. "Bro, I can assure you that I'll do everything in my power to find where that damn bastard took her."
"Don't worry, Jimin," Namjoon comforts me, as he looks down at me on the floor. "I'm sure we'll find her soon, we know how much she means to you. Even to us, she's like a sister."
"Yeah, yeah, Namjoon. We both know we're working this hard in finding her because we're not trying to see this kind of Jimin." Yoongi switches back to his old self again, acting like he doesn't care. "It's kind of cringe."
I didn't even bother snapping at him. I'm too immersed in my thoughts and emotions, having no energy to cuss him out. The feeling inside me is too intense. I needed to express it. "I don't think..." I speak in a low voice. "I ever loved anyone this much...I'm just so worried for her, hyungs."
Also worried about one more thing but I didn't express it. I couldn't let myself to say it, feeling like it could become true. I take a big gulp of the bottle of alcohol in my hand, wanting to take away the pain and stress I'm feeling.
"Jimin, that's enough," Namjoon says with great concern in his voice as he tries to take the bottle away from me. But I didn't let him. The alcohol is the only thing easing my stress levels and my negative thoughts.
"You've drank so much today already," Namjoon scolds me. "You need to stay calm. I'm sure Jungkook won't do anything to y/n."
I become despondent, starring into the floor. "I trust y/n more than anything hyungs. The way she trusts me, I trust her. I know she won't do anything to hurt me. But if she did..." I take another gulp of my alcohol, feeling the effects on my body. "If she did...I don't know what I would do to myself..."
"Woah," Yoongi immediately says, still in his seat. "Don't kill yourself bro. Relax! I trust y/n, she won't ever hurt you."
I glance towards him and he looks so stressed out and annoyed at the same time. "This love story is becoming more complicated," Yoongi sighs, placing his feet onto the table. "I'm starting to get stressed out myself and I'm just a side character in this."
"I need you to keep trying to find their safe houses." I look towards Yoongi. "It's the only places we can check for now."
"I've been trying to find where their safe house could be located, but again the K-God mafia has really hid that info well,"
Yoongi responds stressfully. "Not even a clue or any idea. It could be anywhere and they could even have more than one. It's useless, even if we locate their safe houses. It would take days trying to go into each one of them to see if they're in there."
"Yeah I know..." I weakly utter. "The only way was through their underboss, but it was hard to get through him."
"Oh, Kim Taehyung huh." Namjoon seems to be pleased hearing his name. "Yeah, that man is good. He seem like a nice guy and all, but looks can be deceiving."
"Wheren't you guys childhood friends?" Yoongi asks, looking down at me on the floor.
I didn't answer. I had severed Taehyung and I's childhood bond long time ago and it seems like he too. He acts like he had never met me. His loyalty is only towards Jungkook. It seems like nothing could ever break that. I mean it's really no surprise to me. They were really close from the beginning. I had met Taehyung first, and he was the one who introduced me to Jungkook. But all the memories had been buried deep, not wanting myself to have any remorse towards my sworn enemies of the mafia world.
Suddenly, my brain flashes an old memory that I had completely forgotten. A memory of the three of us—Jungkook, Taehyung and I.
It was at Jungkook's family lake house. Jungkook's mother had invited Taehyung and I to come along with them for summer vacation. Our brotherhood became stronger there and we really felt more like brothers, than friends. Everything about the place takes away your stress, anxiety and even anger. It's like a magical place you would bring your girlfriend or wife to be alone with. It was one of the best childhood summer of my life that I had to bury deep inside.
I stop in my thoughts, realizing something.
The lake house...
"Hyungs!" I shout and their eyes instantly looking at me eagerly. "I think I know where we can find them."
The two look at me in astonishment and both say, "Where?"
I stop to think where that place is located. It has been so long, I can't really remember where it is. I just know how the lake house looked like and it had a cabin floating in the shoreline of the lake.
I try to stay calm and force my brain to remember the name of the area, but it just feels like my brain is going to explode.
Fuck, why can't I remember!
I sit in silence, but internally my brain is churning, as I hunch over with a sense of loss. It's hard for me to remember, because part of me keeps on thinking of the two of them—together—in that place.
Fuck my life.
Once I figure it out, I'm for sure going to get y/n back home—no matter what.
