FARA

Everybody was surprised when Demi suddenly came to the mansion the day before the reunion. Storm's girl cousins screamed and welcomed her with warm hugs. They were so happy. I felt bitterness while watching them.

"Fara." Demi approached me with a smile on her lips. "How are you?" she asked me and then gazed at Eli who was seated on my lap. I saw sadness in her eyes while her eyes were fixed upon Eli.

She looked more beautiful than before.

"Ate Demi! Let's go! Pinapatawag ka ni Lolo Max sa room niya," we heard Wren call her.

"Uh, maiwan muna kita," Demi told me. I just nodded my head.

Tita Marie approached me and took Eli from me.

Although it was against my will, I just smiled and nodded my head.

"Are you okay?" she asked me. I didn't expect her question.

"Y-yes, I'm okay, Tita," I replied.

"I'm a wife too and I know the feeling of seeing my husband's ex-girlfriend. It doesn't feel alright," aniya.

I didn't respond because I didn't want to tell something against Demi.

She heaved a sigh. "Don't be intimidated. You are the wife. If Storm really loves you, you have nothing to worry about."

I just nodded my head as a response. She was right. Storm wouldn't do anything I didn't like. He loved me. I didn't have to be insecure. Demi was just Storm's past.

The girls decided to watch a movie. I took a bath for a while so I just joined them after I had taken a bath. There I saw them watching a movie together with Demi in the living room. They were laughing so I guessed the movie was a comedy.

"Go there."

Before I was about to reply, Sean with his other boy cousins pulled Storm. "Let's go, Storm. Hayaan mo ang mga girls diyan. Basketball tayo," Sean told him.

They stopped talking and looked at me. I could feel their uncomfortable stares at me. I watched the movie and it was a Thai movie.

They were talking to one another while I just kept silent because they weren't talking to me. I felt out of place.

"Ate Demi, can you just be here always? I mean I wanna see you every year. We missed you so much," Juddith told Demi.

"Yeah.

"Uh, I can't promise. But you can connect with me through social media."

"Okaaay!"

"Yeah, sure!"
