I have listened to Hamilton before, but I've never heard of In the Heights. I looked it up and listened to some of the songs. I can tell why you like them so much. Lin-Manuel Miranda has talent. I'll have to go and watch him live someday.
I wouldn't say enjoying music is a "disease." If that were the case, I would already be dead by now. But if you seriously want to become less obsessed with this musical, perhaps you could try listening to something else. Like me! Have some "Cold Turkey" and it'll snap you right out of it.
I believe I'm addicted to In the Heights now too, so I will have to do the same thing.
