Hey John, I'm an Aussie and have a couple of questions about your 1964 tour: 1. What was your favorite Australia destination? 2. What was it like playing with Jimmy? Was the drumming any different to Ringo? 3. If you could see anything at all over here down under, what would it be?
1. We went to three Australian cities, and out of all of them, Sydney was my favorite. All the lights were just beautiful. I don't think the Opera House had been finished yet, so we couldn't go see that, but we would have wanted to. I don't care too much for opera, but I would have just wanted to go check out the architecture.
2. Don't get me wrong, Jimmy was a great drummer, but the atmosphere on stage wasn't quite the same. He was really just a stranger, and *whispers* Ringo was a lot better drummer.
3. I'd go see the Great Barrier Reef and the Opera House!
