Author's note: This episode's gonna be a bit weird since (y/n) will be a playable character in Gamer's 2.0 game so most of this episode will probably just be in third person.

It was a lovely Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly warm outside. Unfourtnetly I wouldn't be able to enjoy the warm weather as Marinette and I was swamped with a huge workload. We had a history test to study for, and an essay to write, I was helping Master Fu translate the grimoire so we could learn more about how the butterfly and peacock miraculous so they can't be used against us, and I had to finish this month's song for my music career, Marinette had posters to design for Jagged and T-shirts to make for Kitty Section.

"When were paid holidays instituted in France?" Flaake asks me and I groan. "Don't remind me of holidays." "So you don't want to pass your history test?" She asks me and I lean back in my chair with a sigh. "The first paid holiday was the Summer of 1936." "Correct," I smile as I roll my chair to my computer and get another paragraph of my essay done when I hear Tikki tell Marinette she was drawing on a T-shirt.

Marinette gets up frantically and tries to wash the lead off in her sink. "Perhaps you two should take a little break," Tikki suggests as she watches the both of us switch between our many tasks. "We can't Tikki, it's all due tomorrow. Tomorrow!" Marinette exclaims and Flaake asks, "Can't some of this stuff wait like translating the grimoire?" "No, I told Master Fu I'd have it translated by Monday so he can work on the next section, all of it needs to be done," That's when we hear a knock on the door and Tom and Luka's heads pop up. "Marinette, Ultimate Mega Strike Tournament time!"

Tom exclaims happily, holding up controllers and Luka gives me a smile. "Ready for our date (y/n), we can go to our favorite cafe," We both stare longingly at the boys and the idea of a fun time. "Video games? It's been so long since I last played video games..." Mari mumbles while I lick my lips at the thought of getting my favorite cafe drink.

"We can't...With everything going on this week and next week. There's no choice, we have to say no," I say and Mari agrees. "No? But Marinette, playing is like that little pinch of salt in the baguette that makes life tastier," Tom says, Luka soon chiming in. "But (y/n) I haven't seen or heard from you for a week..." "Dad I've got so many cakes baking in the oven right now, they're all on the verge of getting burnt. No amount of salt with fix that." "I'm sorry Luka, I just don't have the time to take a break but I'll make it up to you later." "Ok well watch your pies you two, it's bubbling all over your cinnamon flans," They leave and we get back to work.

"Take a break...Play video games..." I hear Marinette mumble in her sleep. I poke her to wake her up, I really hope she finished taking the test before she fell asleep. She wakes up and starts looking around for her test, soon finding it on her face was happy that she did in fact fill it out. I hand over my test just as Max mentioned his new video game.

The urge to take a break from work resurfaces yet again as Marinette and I stare longingly at Max who was asking everyone to play his game but was being turned down. As we heard him give more and more details about his game to our friends it became harder and harder not to jump on the opportunity to play so we quickly leave and headed to the library to focus on finishing our essays. It wasn't long however before Max came to us to ask if we wanted to play. "NO!" "But I haven't said anything yet." "And I don't want you to say it because then I wouldn't be able to refuse and I have to refuse," Max turns toward me and I shake my head. "We've got too much to do."

Marinette reiterates this by stumbling over her words trying to recall everything she still has to do. "What Dupain-Cheng and (l/n) are trying to tell you using this ridiculous fake excuse is that they don't wanna play your dumb little video game. In fact, no one does because everyone, even these two has a much more interesting life than you do," Chloé points out and I shake my head no. "Not even close, we'd love to play Max but right now we've got too much on our plates, maybe later if more tasks aren't given to us." "GAH! I'm late!" Mari shouts, packing her bag and running off while I quickly submit my essay and join her since I promised to help with the fitting.
