Matt's POV
The walk along the beach was nice but we decided to head back because the breeze was a little bit cold.
"Do you want to have a drink before bed?" I asked Adrienne as we approached the resort.
"Yeah sure." She smiled.
A few of the other's were here so we headed over to join them. I was disappointed to see Amber here but I was even more disappointed when Adrienne pulled her hand out of mine.
She sat down I got us a drink.
"Did you find Amelia?" Brian asked.
Did we fucking what!
"Oh yeah she was in bed." Adrienne said quickly, glancing around.
"So where have you been?" Amber asked.
I looked at her, what did I ever see in her. "We went for a walk on the beach."
"Ooooh." Becca said looking at Amber, while Adrienne looked uncomfortable.
"Nice." Brian added.
"Yeah it was cold." Adrienne said quickly.
We sat there for awhile and had a few drinks, just talking. Amber was being a pain in the ass and I could see she kept giving Adrienne looks and that was pissing me off.
"I'm going to head to bed." Adrienne told me quietly. "Goodnight." She said to everyone.
"I'll walk you to your room." I offered.
"No it's fine Matt thanks." She smiled.
"You can walk me?" Amber said.
"I didn't offer to walk you."
"I'll walk Adrienne, I'm ready for bed too." Becca said standing up.
Meg joined them and they headed off, with Amber sulking behind them.
"Another?" Jim asked indicating to our drinks.
Brian and I both agreed and he went to the bar.
"So, what happened?" Brian asked immediately.
"With what?" I wasn't sure what he was getting at.
"With Adrienne, I mean are you and her having a thing."
"A thing? What's a thing?"
"For fuck sake Matt, are you hooking up." Brian said.
"No we're not hooking up."
"Okay, sorry, I just thought you know."
"I'm just trying to get our friendship back to where it was." Before Amber completely ruined it.
"Um okay."
Jimmy came back with another round of drinks.
"Fishing tomorrow." He said.
We were going out fishing, while the girls were going shopping.
"It should be good." Brian added.
It should be good, I was looking forward to it, the only thing that bothered me was that Adrienne would have to deal with Amber with out me, it bothered me alot.
Actually, I thought, maybe it was just the thought of not seeing Adrienne all day that bothered me.
I put my drink down and looked at Brian. "Well shit."
