"McFly, Keep Calm and Play Louder Tour, take one, action!" I yell, holding up a camcorder in front of Tom.
"Hi everyone. Tom here, your favorite McFly member-" I laugh, cutting him off.
"Yeah, right." I tease. Tom laughs.
"Start again." He says.
"McFly, Keep Calm and Play Louder Tour, take two, action!" I repeat, holding up the camera again.
"Hi everyone! Tom here, your favorite McFly member-"
"Yeah right, Mate!" Harry cuts in, walking into shot.
"Okay, really?" Tom says, and I start to laugh.
"I bet you aren't even Lilly's favorite." Harry teases. "Lilly, who's your favorite member of McFly?"
"I don't have a favorite. McFly isn't McFly without one of you." I say, putting a hand on Tom's shoulder. He smiles. "But are we talking about which one of you I just like in general as a person?"
"Sure." Harry says.
"Oh. Well I have one, but I can't say it out loud."
"What?" Tom asks, shocked. "You have a favorite one of us? That's sick! That's like a mother having a favorite child!"
"I was my mum's favorite child." Harry shrugs.
"Fuck you, Harry." Tom laughs.
"I'm kidding." I laugh. "I don't have a favorite. I love you all equally. But I do have a favorite thing about each of you." The boys look curious.
"What's your favorite thing about me?" Harry asks. I smile.
"My favorite thing about you, Harry, is that you are so smart. So smart, that sometimes it's really annoying, but most of the time it's amazing."
"What about me?" Tom asks skeptically, as if I didn't actually have a favorite thing about him.
"Tom, you are one of the most creative people I have ever met. Like seriously, the things you can do with your mind astounds me. I've never met anyone like that."
"What are you guys doing?" I hear, and turn around to see Danny walking towards us.
"Lilly was telling us her favorite things about us." Tom says, and Danny stands next to me.
"I'm really smart." Harry brags.
"And I'm super creative." Tom counters.
"What about me?" Danny asks, hopefully.
"Nope, don't have one for you." I say.
"Oh." Danny says sadly, looking down. I laugh, putting a hand on his back.
"Danny I'm kidding. Of course I have a favorite thing about you." I say and he immediately perks up. "Danny, no matter what's going on, or how crazy everything gets, or how stressed out anyone is, you can put a smile on anyone's face."
"Really?" Danny asks. I wrap my arms around him.
"Plus you're my Bolton buddy! You're my built in home."
"Aw." Danny laughs. "What about Dougie?" I pull away from him.
"Well...my favorite thing about Dougie-"
"Where is Dougie?" Tom asks. Danny shrugs.
"I don't know." He says.
"Let's go find him." Harry says, and the two other boys follow him. I stay where I am and look down. My favorite thing about Dougie was simple, really.
"Come on Lilly!" Tom waves me over, snapping me out of my thoughts as I follow them down the hall.
After a while, we make it to a dressing room where Dougie is laying out all of the boy's suits for tonight. Dougie had worked on all the outfit planning for this tour, as the boys wanted to match.
"Hey Doug. Whatcha up to?" Harry asks, as we all make our way in.
"Just sorting out wardrobe." He shrugs. The outfits looked amazing.
"How did you even do all this matching outfit stuff Dougie?" I ask.
"Oh, I know a guy." He says. I nod.
"He knows a guy." I repeat under my breath, looking at Danny who shrugs.
"So what brings you guys round?" Dougie asks, turning away from the suits. "I'm sure it wasn't the sudden urge to help me press our suits, right?"
"Oh hell no." Harry laughs. "I can't believe you're doing all this stuff."
"The pants have to have a nice crease." Dougie says like it's obvious.
"Right." Tom says. "Anyways, we were all standing round in the hallway- oh that's right! Lilly was telling us her favorite things about each of us, and we wanted to find you so that she could tell you yours."
"Well...what's her favorite things about you guys?" Dougie asks, furrowing his brow slightly.
"I'm wicked creative." Tom says.
"And I'm wicked smart." Harry smiles.
"I- I forgot mine..." Danny says, looking down, trying to recover it from his brain.
"You're always happy." I remind him.
"I'm always happy." He repeats.
"So, what's your favorite thing about Dougie?" Tom asks, and Dougie looks right into my eyes.
"Dougie-" I start. "Dougie is...Dougie is very strong." I say. Harry scoffs.
"Please. I could bench at least double what he could." Harry says.
"I don't think she meant physically, Harry." Tom says. And Harry has a look of realization.
"Oh. Yeah, yeah sorry."
"You're really disproving the smart thing right now." Dougie smiles.
"And Dougie is very caring." I say.
"At least he was back in the boyfriend-girlfriend-days." Danny laughs, and the others do too a bit.
But I was talking more about the not-sleeping-days.
"Well hey, thanks." Dougie smiles.
"Yeah." Harry says.
"So it's your turn." I say.
"Our turn?" Danny asks.
"What's all four of your favorite thing about me?" I ask.
"We can't choose one thing." Tom says.
"Oh come on, don't use that excuse. There's got to be at least one thing you like about me." I joke.
"I know what it is." Harry says. "For me, anyways."
"Well go on then." Tom says.
"No matter what-" Harry starts. "No matter where, or when... no matter if...one of us didn't talk to you-" he looks at Dougie, "Or one of us harasses you," he looks at the floor, "Or is an angsty teen," he looks at Tom, "Or gets piss drunk and trashes a hotel room," He laughs, looking at Danny, who looks at the floor, laughing. The other two boys giggle too. "You're always there for us no matter what. And we know you always will be." I smile.
"I will." I say. "I promise...and- Danny, are you crying?"
Danny looks up from the floor to the ceiling and blink ferociously.
"No." He sniffs. "But that's enough sentimental stuff for today." We all laugh, and give him a group hug.
