A few months later...
"Who is that?"
"He's hot."
"I think his new."
"I like his hair."
A boy with black, messy, hair walked through the doors of (S/N). His eyes were covered with dark sunglasses. A black leather jacket hung fittingly on his shoulders.
He walked through the school's front yard, not caring or acknowledging any of the students or the student who came up to talk to him. The whispers of the students grew louder as he got closer to the school.
He followed the signs to the main office. He got stopped in a hallway a couple of times by some cheerleaders, but he walked around them.
He was only looking for one person.
"Mr. Kuroo, may I have your papers please," the secretary said. She didn't look up at him, but held out her hand as an indication to place the paper in her hand.
He placed the folder in her hand, and she took them and started rummaging through them. She look up at Kuroo and looked back at the paper.
"Mr. Kuroo, I think you have the wrong papers. It says, here, that you were born in 1872. Please come back with the right set of papers," she said.
Kuroo raised his sunglasses and balanced them on his head and rested his hands on her desk.
"Please, look again," he said. The secretary raised her head and looked up at him. Their eyes met, and her face wet slack. She looked back at the papers and typed a few things on her computer.
"Sorry, my mistake. I must've read it wrong. Here is your schedule, and sorry once again for the mistake," she said, and handed him the paper.
Kuroo took the paper. "Thank you." He turned around and exited the office.
The whispering quieted down, but it turned to staring and pointing, which was worse. People lined the hallways holding their books or both hands on the straps of their bags. But everyone was talking about him. He could hear it.
Something hit his chest.
"I'm sorry," said the person who bumped into him.
He smiled and furrowed his eyebrows. His eyes drifted to the men's bathroom door where the girl had just left. Her face was set in a frown and her face was a little wet. "Isn't that the men's room?"
The girl looked up and took an awkward step back. "Boyfriend. We broke up."
Kuroo nodded. "Sorry, didn't know."
"It's not your fault. He was kind of an asshole."
Kuroo laughed. The bell rung. Students were scrambling away from their lockers and went to the first class of the day.

(Y/N) was sitting by the tombstone of her brother. She sat beside it with a book in her hand. Cemeteries never frightened (Y/N). It felt like she was closer to her brother even though he was gone and she was still here.
Fog creeped over the ground. (Y/N) back against the tombstone and stood. Once she did, the fog disappeared, but a crow stood in front of her on another tombstone.
"Shoo," (Y/N) said.
It stood there, not moving a muscle, and started caw.
"Shoo."
Caw.
(Y/N) backed away and ran. When she tried to look behind her, she fell, down a hill, into a ditch.
"Ouch." (Y/N) propped herself up so she was leaning against the side of the ditch. She sat there until the sharp pain went away. Slowly, she made her way up the hill. Once she was at the top, she slipped. She was falling backwards when someone grabbed her wrist and pulled her up.
"Thanks. That would have been the second time I fell today," (Y/N) laughed. "I'm (Y/N)."
"Kuroo. You're the girl that came out of the men's room."
"Is that all I'm going to be remembered as? I seriously hope not."
Kuroo laughed.
"Are you new?" (Y/N) asked.
"That's kind of obvious, isn't it?" he said.
She could have sworn she saw him somewhere. His hair, eyes, looked like they were from a dream she couldn't remember.
"I'm just asking because you look really familiar," (Y/N) said.
He raised his eyebrows. "I do? I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you though."
"I'm pretty sure that if you'd met me, I'll be hard to forget. I'm kind of awesome."
He grinned. "Why are you at a cemetery?"
"Visiting my brother."
Kuroo's face dropped. "Wow, dead brother and broke up with your boyfriend. Not a very good day for you."
"Yeah."
Kuroo felt a pit in his stomach. He could feel a hunger growing inside of him. He took a step back and a turned away from (Y/N). "Did you hurt yourself?"
With the adrenaline leaving her body, (Y/N) felt a sharp pain in her arm. She rolled up her sleeve and saw dark red blood leaking from her arm. (Y/N) looked at her again and rolled down her sleeve. "It okay, just a little blood."
She looked up and Kuroo wasn't there.

"We're having a party you should come," a cheerleader said. She handed Kuroo a flyer. He looked at it and handed it back.
"Party's aren't my thing," said Kuroo, and began to walk away, making his way to English.
He sat at the back of the room, hoping that no one would sit beside him. He only looked up when he heard (Y/N)'s voice coming down through the hallway.
Kuroo heard her say goodbye to her friends and walked into the same classroom as him. She looked around the room and her eyes landed on Kuroo. (Y/N) walked down the aisle beside his and sat down in the seat next to him.
"Are you going to the school night bonfire?" (Y/N) asked.
Kuroo shook his head. "I wasn't planning to. Are you?"
She shrugged. "Don't want to go, but since my friends are really invested in the school community, they dragging me to it. It would be better if I saw you there though."

Kuroo went to the bonfire. He was standing aside a tree a few feet away from the actual fire. A few teenagers were trying to figure out how to pop the keg (not sure of correct terminology), but failed miserably. He took amusement in this.
"So, you came," someone said behind him. He turned around and saw (Y/N). She was wearing what looked like pajamas compared to what the other girls were wearing; a sweater with a pair of black jeans.
He smiled. "Yeah, and it's lamer than I thought."
(Y/N) laughed. "You're right about that. Want to walk?" she said and gestured to a path that led to the river that flowed through the forest.
"Sure."
They started towards the path, walking close to each other, their hands brushed occasionally. The pathway was empty due to the many people by the fire, drinking. The bridge was creaky and the wood splintered.
"I'm sorry about your brother," he said. They were standing on the bridge, facing the way the current flowed.
(Y/N) looked down, taking in the air of the fresh smell of water. "It happened a long time ago. I've learned to accept it, but I still visit him."
"I understand that. I lost a mother a while ago, but I don't think I'm over it."
(Y/N) looked at him. Her eyes glossed with grief and sadness. "I'm sorry."
Kuroo shook his hand. "It's okay. It's not like she was a saint."
(Y/N) was about to say something, but was caught off with a scream coming from the fire. Kuroo tensed up. "What was that?" (Y/N) asked.
After the scream came laughter. "It's probably some idiots."
(Y/n) laughed. "Well—"
She was knocked against the side of bridge and fell limp against the ground. Kuroo sped towards her and checked her head. He looked around, but saw nothing but darkness.
It was silent.
There was a snap, and then he felt the rough bark of the tree on his back and a hand against his throat.
"You should have stay away from here, Kuroo," they said. Their grip tighten around his throat and slammed him against the tree again.
"You shouldn't have knocked her to the ground," Kuroo said. He snapped off a branch from the tree and stabbed him in the neck. The person dropped Kuroo and stumbled backwards.
"You mean (Y/N)?" They smirked, ripping the branch from his neck and threw it to the ground. "Everyone knows her. She's the one who can break the curse, but she needs to die. They want her."
"Who?" Kuroo asked. He ripped and branch from the tree and broke it in half, making the tip pointy.
They just grinned. Kuroo frowned and stepped closer to him. "Stay away from her."
Kuroo flipped the makeshift stake in his hand and stabbed them in the heart. Their face went slack and their veins deepened on their pale skin as the person fell.
Kuroo sped towards (Y/N) who was fully awake and staring at him in shock. He took a step forwards, but (Y/N) scrambled back and to her feet.
"What are you?"
