the one with the perfect time

Start from the beginning

"Y/n-"

"Sick bastard-" you scowled, headed for the door.

"Y/n, don't be a bitch-" He was standing up from the couch now.

"A bitch!" You yelled, turning to face him from the other side of the room. When your eyes met his face, you searched his features for a sign, anything that made him look regretful. When you only saw confusion and anger you placed your eyes on the floor.

"A bitch…?" You let out softer. Had he refriended you to only restart the romance you once had? Had he played you this entire time? Was he really calling you a bitch for not accepting him a second time around. Did he really think you would cheat on Jungkook?

"Just-" He'd stepped closer while you'd been thinking.

He touched your hand and you pulled yourself away from him with a large step backwards.

"No Jongin. I trusted you, I thought we could be friends, but you're the same you that you've always been. You're the bitch, not me." You said through tears rolling down your face, angry tears.

You weren't crying for any reason besides betrayal. You wanted a long term friend, one you'd known for years and wasn't through your brother like Yoongi was. You wanted to reconnect and reminisce on your school days with someone.

You also knew you were being a bad bitch by doing what was right and calling Kai out. But mostly, you were crying because you felt dirty as if you'd just cheated on Jungkook by even being in the same room as Kai right now.

You grabbed your shoes and left. He yelled out for you again, pleading. He didn't fear Jungkook or Namjoon or any of your friends, he was only concerned with you. He didn't chase you, just let you leave.

The sight of Jungkook's head whipping around from your couch made you burst into tears once you opened the door.

"Y/n-" he couldn't see you crying, but the sight of you hanging your head and sound of you sniffling the silent tears made him leap up as you dropped your shoes to the floor. You hadn't even put them on since you left Kai's place, you had other protruding concerns.

“I didn’t mean to make you cry, I wanted to make you feel better...” Jungkook said, comforting you. It hit him that you might be upset to see him.

He didn't know that he wasn't the direct reason for your sudden tears.

"I can go, I'm sorry, I should've called first-" he stood infront of you while you stood in the door frame.

You shook your head as you stared at him, tears rolling down your cheeks.

“No Jungkook, not that," you sucked in a breath, "I’m sorry...” you whimpered out, head still shaking, tears still falling.

You reached out for him and he caught your hands, looking at your face carefully.

“Hey hey hey, just tell me, what's going on?” he held your hands in front of you.

“I just need a minute..” you gasped out, looking away from him, to your now dirty socks across from his clean socks.

He moved his hands to hold your head, getting you to look up at him.

“Hey, y/n, whats-”

“I can’t, I can’t, I don’t deserve you.” you whined out, covering your face with your hands.

“What, no, y/n, baby-”

“Kai and I kissed.” you said and he froze, retracting himself from you slowly.

“We were just-t talking a-and he-” you tried to explain.

“He what?” His voice dropped as he stared at you.

Your gut tightened and a shiver slithered down your spine.

It hurt, you could see the pain in his eyes, not only had he lost the possible child he would be having he also just found out that his girlfriend had betrayed him.

He knew you would never cheat on him, he knew Kai was different, but you didn’t think he would think of it like that.

“Jungkook, I didn’t mean for it to happen, I didn’t instigate it, I just went over there to rant- Jungkook please-” he stared at you in what seemed like disbelief.

“Jungkook no-” You reached out for him but he was already stepping backwards, looking past you.

His eyes fixed on the empty air behind you.

When he moved around you towards the door you stood up straighter, reaching out, begging, body spinning to keep facing him.

“I’m so sorry- It didn’t mean anything- please-” He was already out the door. He was mad, you thought. He hated you, why else would he leave when you were so distraught.

“I’m so sorry…” you whined to the empty doorway, holding yourself as you continued to cry.
