"He did what?" Shoto asked, sounding furious. I imagined him gripping his phone hard, fist and jaw clenched. I wondered if it was a good idea to tell him.

"Yeah... it was uncomfortable to say the least. And I mean, it was weirder because I know that we aren't even dating! It added salt to the wound, being accused of cheating on my fake boyfriend! It's insane!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air. I scoffed, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Well, that's the story of how I yelled at your father in public. Lovely, isn't it?"

"Very. Next time I see him, I'll give him a piece of my mind. He should know better than to come up to you like that." He practically growled out the words, making me panic a moment.

"That's not necessary! I just wanted to let you know. I thought you had a right to know." I really really did not want to be on Enji's bad side. Though I guess I already was.

"I can't just let him harass you like that, (Y/N). I won't allow it." His voice was firm and hard-set, it would be difficult to get him to change his mind.

"Shoto, listen to me. It's fine. People have yelled at me before. Sure, he got me upset, but that doesn't mean you have to confront him about it. Trust me, I'm ok. You're ok. Your dad's ok. Everything's fine." I reasoned, trying to get him to calm down.

"I'll still talk to him about it." He said and I sighed at his words. "But I won't get riled up. I'll try not to at least." I smiled to myself.

"Thank you Shoto."

"Anything for you my love." His words reminded me of something I'd been meaning to talk to him about.

"That's right, I've been meaning to discuss something with you." I said, not really sure what kind of answer I would get.

"What would that be dear?" He asked. I heard the ruffle of fabric over the speaker as he moved.

"What were you thinking talking to my father the way you did?" I asked. "Ochaco told me about your outburst in my office while I was missing too, so start talking."

He chuckled and I leaned against my counter, using my arms to steady myself as I listened to his voice through the speaker.

"Well, I had to show my dominance over everyone there."

"Dominance? Shoto, it was a meeting about a missing persons, with my parents no less! It wasn't a meeting of a wolf pack! What the hell where you thinking?!"

"I was simply letting everyone know I was two steps ahead in winning your heart. The chance was there so I took it. You can't say it's not at least a little romantic." He said, defending himself.

Two steps ahead huh? Tell that to Bakugo, Izuku and Yaoyorozu.

"Shoto." I sighed, bending over and leaning in my elbows. "We've had this conversation."

"I know dear, and I won't force you into anything, but I will never stop trying to win you over. Never. You're the one for me, my soulmate, I can feel it." He said, and I could hear the smile practically dripping from his face.

"I know. I just wish you'd move on though. I hate dragging you along on a string like this." I said, sighing.

"My dear, once I kissed your lips there was no going back. I am totally and utterly enraptured by you." He said, sounding star struck.

"I know you are, Shoto. I know."

Shoto and I spoke for a while after that, but eventually he had a shift and bid me goodbye, but not without telling me he loved me.
