At the behest of her stepfather, Joe, a straight-laced ex-military man hellbent on teaching her discipline, easy-going teenager Kelly Collins enrolls in the George Washington Military School. Kelly struggles to adjust to the demands of her new environment while facing the abuse of her commanding officer, Jennifer Stone. Kelly almost drops out until she falls for a hunky classmate and decides to join the drill team.
I love Hilary Duff and I enjoyed this movie. Girls can do anything and I feel this movie is empowering. I believe I do have it on DVD somewhere but I didn't remember it until I watched it on Disney+. I thought it was really good. I would never want to go to military school or send my kids through military school because it's so strict and struggled. It was good to watch this again. It's funny how I thought Jimmy Olson from Smallville was in it but actually it was his twin brother Shawn Ashmore.
