Camila's POV

From a distance I could see that Lauren was still trying to hold her ground, Chris's message moved her. It was expected, she adores him..

"Are you okay?" I asked pushed her hair back, she breathed heavily, to hold back the tears and then nodded.

I left her alone so she could calm down or even cry, which she certainly wouldn't do in front of me. Not knowing what to do, I went to the kitchen to try to prepare a cake.

I put the recipe book open on the counter and looked for the ingredients, putting them all inside a saucepan. Some time later I felt that they embraced me from behind, I smiled.

"What are you cooking?" she asked that hoarse voice with an accent.

She kissed my shoulder and laid her chin there.

"A cake" I said, proudly taking it out of the mold and watching it lose its shape.
I grimaced, listening to Lauren laugh.

"It's..." she tried to help herself... "until you see it like that..." she turned her head a little "um well.."

"It's a disaster." I said

"Yes, it is, I'm sorry" she said and shrugged.

"It's fine, that's what bakeries are for" I said and took everything and threw it away, without pain.

"Come here, my cook" she hugged me from the waist "you're all covered in flour..." she commented, laughing, as she ran her finger down my cheek, cleaning it.

Lauren's POV

"Let's go now, Lauren" Camila called impatiently from the door where she was waiting for me.

I shook my head and ran down, laughing at her hurry.

"Marielle won't mind if we fall behind a bit for dinner." I sajd

"You don't know her as I do" she said and left while I followed her. She pressed the elevator button several times in a row.

"Oh well didn't you know that it won't come faster?" I asked

In a short time, to Camila's relief, we were in the taxi. I wrinkled my brows, not recognizing the path.

"Aren't wr going to Marielle's house?"

"No" sh smiled "we will go have dinner with her, out of home..."

"Where?" I asked

"To the club" she said

No more questions I saw through the window, frowning at the signs in Spanish.
I sighed, it is extremely irritating not to understand anything, it gives me a headache. We went down, Camila didn't let me pay, because it was my birthday.

"The restaurant isn't there?" she nodded, the place where we always had lunch when we came here.

"That's right." she said

But she kept walking in the opposite direction. I followed her, in the end, I don'5 know the whole club to know if there is another place to eat here.

"I think Marielle hasn't arrived yet" she sighed, seeing the lights off the room to partys "She is supposed to meet me here here... let's see if she entered?" I nodded

"Go ahead, I'm afraid of the dark" she pushed me, making me laugh

I opened the door and in the next second several people left, I don"t know where they were throwing confetti in my head while shouting to a single chorus.

"SURPRISE!"

I looked around the place and I could see everything decorated, a little childish decoration, with colored balloons and some letters that formed happy birthday on the wall. I saw Camila, who was laughing.

It took me almost 20 minutes to say hello to everyone, Camila invited Marielle, Robert, Gustavo, her parents, her sister, uncles and other relatives that I met these days that I've been here.

There was an infinity of food in the place, including a cake with the face of the 'Brother Bear', something that I honestly did not understand.

"Did prepare all this?" I went, finally, to where my love was.

"Yes..." she smiled, proudly "do you liked it?"

"Dove, do you know how many years I am fulfilling?" I asked, watching her put a party hat on my head.

"Dom't try Jauregui, you won't ruin my mood" she said and kissed my face.

"Can I know why the cake?"

She started laughing loudly.

"You have no idea, right?" she said still laughing, I denied "it's okay, when we were in Miami..."

"LAUREN!!" Marielle cut her she didn't told me

"Hello, Marielle!" I turned to her, who screamed in my ears.

"You look so funny with that hat" she commented, mockingly.

I shook my head when I heard her start talking. Camila took a tray of sweets and offered, I learned how good it is to eat those sweets from here in Mexico.
