Chapter 141: Delving into Training

Izuku's POV:

While the train was going, I could hear the clacks of metal as the train went over the tracks. The seat I was on felt like it could be my next bed, as I slightly sunk in it. Yaoyorozu-san was sitting across from me as she sat cross-legged.

Momo: "It should take about 30 seconds to get there." she said to me as I nodded off, entirely impressed that they have a whole train station underground, just for getting to and from the training facility.

Izuku: "Quite luxurious." I commented as I was still baffled by this entire thing.

Momo: "I know. My parents can be extravagant with their money." she says with a sigh, "Sometimes I wish we can do things normally though." she says a bit quietly, but I overheard.

I understood why she would say that as one of the reasons for her to become a hero is due to how fortunate she claims to be compared to other people. Before I could say anything back, the train then stopped as the speakers announced that we arrived in a smooth AI voice.

The doors slid open. Yaoyorozu-san was the first to get off her seat and leave, as I soon followed. We arrived at a station that was quite similar to the one previously but it seemed to be made out of the same materials as the ones used for the training facility. I looked around for a ladder but there was none to be found. I saw Yaoyorzu-san gesturing towards me to come next to her.

Izuku: "How are we-" but she put her hand up to stop me from talking as it then shifted to a snap. Snapping 3 times, with nothing happening for a while. "What is supposed to-" but I then felt the ground slightly shaking, to see below me a 5-meter by 5-meter platform being lifted up from the ground to the ceiling, as the ceiling slowly opened, placing us to the center of the facility.

I was amazed at how many contraptions must have been in place in order to set up such a seamless entrance. I unknowingly started muttering again, listing possible devices that must have been implemented.

Momo: "Midoriya." I hear her gently whisper into my ear as she clasps her hands together to enhance her voice, startling me out of my murmuring, "Are you done analyzing?" she says with a giggle as I blushed from how embarrassing that was for me.

Izuku: "Yeah." I said awkwardly as I got off the platform, which descended down to the sub-level as the floors close back up.

She questioned me on what we were doing for today as I answered by saying how we'll be testing the durability of her enhanced compression of molecules since we needed to know by a certain factor how strong each material can be so that maybe I can adjust her creations to use fewer lipids if the durability isn't worth it.

I had her create a few sample blocks for me to test: made from a variety of wood, metals, and minerals, so that I had a comparison chart to determine how much tension these blocks can sustain before breaking. Yaoyorozu-san was tired out by creating so many blocks using her new ability, so I had her rest up in the class-like room for now as I conducted my experiments. I then went into the empty room that was meant to contain Yaoyorozu-san's quirk usage as I then took out my bag to take out some tools and devices to help me begin experimenting.

Firstly, I tested the breaking points of each block by using a chisel and my glasses to analyze the amount of force I applied against the blocks. I tried putting in all my strength to chisel at the blocks, but with no success in breaking them, meaning I had to get outside machinery to further study these. Next, I attempted chemical experiments on them: such as boiling, burning, submerging them in water, applying acidic compounds, etc: to see if the chemical reactions had changed or not. From what I could gather, acid seems to be the only one having any effect on the blocks, despite it being a slower process than normal, which meant that the blocks chemical reactions has a higher threshold to cross than normal, which may explain why most of my other experiments have failed.

Momo: "Midoriya!? Are you done?" she said pouting as she stood right next to the door frame.

Midoriya: "How long have you been there? What time is it?" I questioned as I tried accessing the internal clock on my glasses, "TWO HOURS PASSED BY?!" I shouted as I completely lost track of time experimenting.

I quickly placed everything down as I then ran to Yaoyorozu-san. I repeatedly apologized but she said that it was okay and only laughed at how focused I can be at times. We headed to the range since I'm not completely sure if her body has completely recovered enough to do any HIIT(HighIntensityIntervalTraining) workouts, so I had her focus on hand-eye coordination instead. One of the benefits of having a creation quirk is her ability to surprise people with anything, and considering a bullet's speed, I don't think anyone can be fast enough to dodge or block.

In order to handle quick fires, I placed multiple holsters on her, provided by the range and so that she won't have to waste any more lipids creating bb guns, each located on a different body part so that she could draw from anywhere on her body. Each time she uses one of the bb guns, she must drop it and quickly grab another one from a different location. She'll be shooting at drones each with a timer on them so that if she doesn't get it in time, the exercise would be over and have to be restarted,

She repeated this exercise about 7 times, slowly improving but maxing out at around 4 drones. She already has it down when it comes to drawing a gun from her left thigh and waist, along with pulling a gun from the back, but it seems she struggles in being flexible in reaching for other areas on her body, along with using her left hand to pull out the other guns from her other side. I called time as it seems we'll be going nowhere with this if I don't teach her how to be flexible with her drawings.

I was busy putting the holsters away and packing up my equipment back into my bag wondering what other lessons we can go over for now.

Momo: "Um, Midoriya?" I hear her question.

Izuku: "Yes?" I questioned.

Momo: "Your birthday is happening in a little over a month, on July 15th, right?" as I hummed yes too, which got an excited look on her face. "Perfect!" she suddenly blurts out before her she quickly covers up her mouth as her face turns red.

Izuku: 'I wonder what all that was about.' I thought to myself as I continued my duties as her trainer and tutor.
