Chapter 72

Chapter 72:

"Sanzu-kun, can I please have a few minutes with my husband?" I asked Sanzu, who was still aiming his gun on the back of my head.

"As Mikey instructed me to dispose of anyone who comes to the cemetery while we're here," Sanzu told, "I don't care whether you're Mikey's wife or not"

"You're more obsessed with my husband than I am," I told Sanzu. "You killed Mucho for betraying Toman and Mikey, didn't you?"

"That was never proven," Sanzu told me.

I just let out a deep sigh of frustration. I round-house kicked the gun away from his hands and caught the gun before it could land on the floor, I cocked the gun and pointed it back at Sanzu.

"As expected from Sano Akaza-san," Sanzu said as he raised both his hand up in defeat. He then pulled out another gun and pointed it at me, "But you're not capable of killing someone like I can"

He's right though, I can't kill anyone. Just holding a gun scares the crap out of me.

"Sanzu, I'd like a word with Akaza," Mikey said as he approached me. I tossed the gun back to Sanzu as he left Mikey and I alone.

Mikey looks terrible, he's grown a lot thinner, and he had huge bags under his eyes. He's really suffering a lot, but why? Can't he just live peacefully and happily with everyone?

"Akaza, I know what you're going to say," Mikey told me, "I'm not coming home, stop looking for me"

"I can't do that," I told him, "I need you home, your children need you home, I can't just abandon you, I promised you I'll always be by your side for the rest of our lives."

"Why?" He asked bluntly, "Can't you see I don't want to be with you?"

"I can see it in your eyes that you're lying," I told him, Mikey then pulled out his gun and pointed it at me.

"Don't come looking for me anymore," Mikey said with a serious look on his face,

"I'm not going to abandon you!" I told him, he then shot the ground near my feet, trying to scare me.

"The next time we meet, I'll kill you," Mikey told me, before leaving. I grabbed his hand stopping him in his tracks. I felt him flinch, he then roundhouse kicked me in the head knocking me down on the concrete floor.

I never thought Mikey would lay his hands on me, but then again he did kill me in one of the previous timelines. I watch Mikey leave the cemetery as I was on the verge of passing out, even though he's gotten really thin, he's a lot stronger than he was when we were in Toman.

"I'm sorry, Akaza" Was the last thing I heard from Mikey before I passed out.

I woke up around 15 minutes after Mikey left, I grabbed my phone and saw around 7 missed calls from Draken. I redialed his number and asked him to pick me up. I'm having a terrible headache right now.

"Can you pick me up from the cemetery," I told him as I dragged myself to Shinichiro and Emma, "I'm having a bad headache" I said as I sat down in front of Emma and Shinichiro, I then rested my head on their gravestone.

"I'll be right there," Draken said and ended the call.

"What am I going to do?" I asked Shinichiro and Emma, "I want to save Mikey"

A few days later...

I haven't told anyone I met up with Mikey, not Ryuuji or Draken or anyone. I don't know how Draken would react if he ever found out about it. He knows I'll go back searching for Mikey, I can't let the previous timelines repeat themselves. I went insane when Mikey left, it took a toll on me and my children, I don't want that to happen anymore. Good thing, Draken and the rest of Toman are there as my emotional support.

I was at Draken's shop, helping him restock, I was sitting at the counter organizing the small bike parts when Takemichi arrived, panting.

"Draken-kun!" He called out to Draken as he was fixing one of the bikes.

"Takemichi-kun, why do you looked so panicked?" I asked as he entered the bike shop

"Takemitchy, what's up?" Draken asked.

"Why the hell did you lie to me?" Takemichi yelled. "The thing about Mikey living overseas, was a lie, wasn't it?"

"Takemichi--" I started off but he cut me off before I could finish.

"Akaza-chan, did you know about it?" Takemichi asked me, "The twins told me they haven't met Mikey-kun for more than 10 years, there was also someone who resembles Kurokawa Izana in the news"

I froze as he mentioned that.

"Izana alive and is Mikey-kun even alive?" Takemichi said, 

"Mikey, he bid us farewell about 12 years ago" Draken started off, "I haven't seen him since"

"I was with him Mikey for about 7 years, we stayed in Ikebukuro that time but he always traveled out of the country back then and was barely home," I told him, "One day he just left without saying a word, and I haven't seen him since. I don't know if he's alive or dead"

"We lied to you because we wanted you to live happily, don't be mad at Chifuyu okay? I told him to play along"  Draken told him,

"Delivery for Ryuguji Ken-san?" Someone yelled from outside the shop, it must be the parts that Draken ordered.

"I'll get it," I told Draken as I got up from my seat and headed out the door. But I could still hear their conversation inside.

"Please stop trying to find out about Mikey, and stop mentioning his name in front of Akaza, she's hurting the most out of all of this" I heard Draken say to Takemichi, "The last time I saw Mikey 12 years ago, isn't the same Mikey I know anymore"

...

"Are you sure he's going to keep still?"  I asked Draken as Takemichi left the shop.

"He won't but he has too" Draken said, "If he gets involved with Mikey, he might not make it to his wedding"

"I'll talk to him, I know Mikey would want Takemichi-kun to live happily and wouldn't want him to worry about Mikey anymore," I told Draken.

"It's getting late, I'll drive you home" Draken said as he got up from his seat and headed out of his shop.
