Chapter 41: [2nd future timeline]

"You don't have to go to that meeting," Mikey said as I got up from the bed and got dressed after having sex with him.

"What do you mean?  We're talking about Toman's finances here" I said as I strapped on my bra and wore a white button-down. "Someone has ratted out the Inumaki Pharmaceutical Corporation for distributing illegal drugs through  Toman"

"It's kind of obvious since you're my wife, people would definitely think that Toman and your company would have a connection,"  Mikey said laughing. "Just stay home, we could fool around some more"

"As tempting as that is, I have to drop by the meeting," I said as I popped a cigarette in my mouth.

"Didn't I tell you to stop smoking?" Mikey said as he took the cigarette out of my mouth. He groaned in frustration and flopped back down on the bed, throwing the cigarette to the side.

 "I'll just be gone for an hour," I said as I headed towards him and kissed him. "Watch Jichiro and Anri while I'm gone"

I bid farewell to my husband and two children and headed out of the building.

Life is going well for us. I have a son and a daughter and I'm married to Mikey who has done nothing but be a good husband and father.

I headed to Kisaki's restaurant since it was where the meeting was going to take place.

I went inside and saw Pah-chin having a hissy fit. He flipped his chair over and started challenging Hakkai to a fight. The meeting hasn't started yet but they're already not agreeing on things.

"Do I even have to ask what's going on?" I asked. They all stood up and bowed at me. Except for Takemichi who oddly was surprised to see me.

"Akaza-chan!" He said with a huge smile on his face. 

"What are you doing calling her by her name so informally?!" I heard Chifuyu loudly whisper at Takemichi.

"Huh?" Takemichi was confused.

"Sano-san, we're sorry for the mess," Inui said still bowing down.

"Sano? Akaza-chan married Mikey-kun?" Takemichi asked completely surprised. Takemichi is being really suspicious right now. Why is he stating the obvious?

"Happily married with 2 kids," I told Takemichi, showing off my wedding ring. Though why does it seem like he didn't know, he was at the wedding and is the godfather of my children.

"Anyways, let's discuss payments, shall we?" Hanma said as everybody sat down. I sat down on an empty seat beside Takemichi. "Koko's public IT business, Shiba's corporate front, and a number of businesses our gang manages  were searched by the police three days ago, including the Inumaki Pharmaceutical Corporation; in other words somebody here ratted us out!" Hanma stated.
