Chapter 11

Chapter 11:

We dropped off Takemichi in a hospital, Mikey and I went to his place while Draken went home. They didn't even end on a good note, as a person who has been with Mikey and Draken since the beginning, they haven't had a serious fight like this ever. Who can blame them though, we're talking about Pah's integrity. 

"Ken-chin is being unreasonable" Mikey said as he sat down on his sofa, completely and visibly frustrated.

"Mikey, I know you're concerned with Pah more than anyone, I want him out of juvy too" I started off, I'm preparing myself for the backlash of my statement "but Pah volunteered to get arrested, he wanted to take responsibility for what he did"

"Huh?" Mikey raised an eyebrow at me "are you siding with Ken-chin then?" Mikey asked, he was irritated with my statement, you can tell.

"I'm not siding with anyone" I told him "I just think Pah wanted to man up for his mistakes"

Mikey then held my arm and pulled me towards him, but I couldn't help but winced in pain. He was holding on to my arm that was hit by a bat by one of the members of Moebius.

Mikey seemed to notice I was in pain, he lightly tugged me towards him and pulled my sleeve up revealing the huge dark bruise that was on my arm.

"This was--" He started off, I pulled my arm away from his grip and pulled my sleeve back down and covered the bruise.

"It's nothing" I said as I laughed awkwardly. 

He got up from his seat and headed outside his room, a few minutes later he came back with a bag of ice and handed it to me.

"You got that from protecting me didn't you" He said, his eyes were full of sadness "I hate seeing you hurt"

"It's not that bad" I told him as I grabbed the bag and placed it over my bruise, I winced in pain as soon as the ice made contact with my skin. "my job is to protect the commander, besides, you've been protecting me my whole life, I want to do the same" I told him.

"Just promise me we'll conquer the world together, you have to be there when Toman becomes the top gang" He told me, I smiled and nodded, he smiled back and patted me on the head.

It's been 3 days since the incident with Moebius in the warehouse and Mikey and Draken haven't talked to each other since. I tried reasoning with Mikey but he was being stubborn. 

It's starting to get serious, Toman has split into two, now we have a Mikey faction and a Draken faction and internal conflict is starting to rise. If this keeps up, this will be the end for Tokyo Manji Gang. 

"Why don't we pay Takemichi a visit?" Mikey suggested as we finished eating at his favorite fast food joint.

"I heard he was release from the hospital 2 days ago" I informed as we were heading to Takemichi's house.
