It was late in the morning when Alexa woke up…  After taking a shower she decided to wait for David’s call in the living room only to find him already there with Val…

David :  Hi there, sleepyhead…  Did you get a good night sleep?  (He gave Alexa a kiss on her cheek…  A scene that surprised Crissy…)

Alexa :  How long have you been here?  Crissy, why did you not wake me?

David :  I told her not to disturb you…

Crissy :  Someone named Ana was trying to reach you since last night…

Alexa :  (Puzzled as the name was not familiar, she looked from Crissy to David with apprehension…)  Did she say who she was?

Crissy :  PA daw ni Gio…  Tatawag daw uli…  (She mentioned the name without tact unmindful of who were in the room…)  [She said she’s Gio’s PA…  She said she’d call again…]

Alexa looked at David who had his eyes on her and although he did not say anything she knew he was pissed off…  She was delighted at his reaction…  It was what she wanted to see…

Alexa :  Would you mind if I wait for the call?  It might be important…  (She sat beside him trying to sweet-talk him to agree…)

Although David did not hide his annoyance, he agreed to Alexa’s delight…  It wasn’t long after when the phone rang and Alexa opted to answer…  David looked at Val his hand into a fist…  When Alexa answered the phone she appeared excited and she seemed to be waiting, as she was silent for a while…  And before she turned away for some privacy, she gave David a look…

Alexa :  Hi, how are you?

Sarah :  ‘Te  tumawag ako kagabi pero wala ka daw…  Nagdinner daw kayo nung David… [Ate, I called last night and they told me you were out…  That you had dinner with David…]

Alexa :  (Speaking in a low voice to make sure none of the conversation could be heard…)  Okay lang yung ginawa mo…  Anong nangyari kay Marco, Nailabas na ba siya? [What you did was just right…  What happened with Marco…  Were you able to get him out?]

Sarah :  Ngayon pa lang…  Inihanda pa ni Atty, Hernandez yung pera eh…  Ate, thank you ha… [Today, most likely…  Atty. Hernandez is still preparing the money we need…]

Alexa :  Okay lang…  Ikaw ba nagpa-check up ka na?  Hindi ko gusto ang kulay mo nung huli tayong nagkita…  Kelan ka huling nagpunta sa doctor?  I want you to have a check up as soon as possible… [It’s okay…  Did you go for check-up already?  You look pale the last time I saw you and I am worried…  When did you last see a doctor, anyway?]

Sarah :  Tatapusin ko lang ang problema kay Kuya tapos pupunta na ako sa doctor…  Sa totoo lang, ate, hindi nga masyadong maganda ang pakiramdam ko lately… [I’ll just finish our problem with Kuya Marco then I’ll go to the doctor…  Ate, the truth is, I don’t really feel good lately…]

Alexa :  Call me as soon as you get the result…  Siyanga pala, may itatanong ako sa iyo…  I forgot to ask you nung nagpunta ka sa bahay…  Noon bang nagpunta kayo dito sa hotel nakita mo ba kung saan ko inilagay yung necklace na hawak ni Aunty Elena? [Call me as soon as you get the result…  Oh, by the way, I have something to ask you…  I forgot to ask when you came to the house…  When you came here at the hotel, did you see where I put the necklace that Aunty Elena held?]

Sarah :  I saw you placed it in your bag…  Why?

Alexa :  Nawawala eh…  Nahulog yung bag ko eh… Baka natapon eh di ko nakita…  Pero hinanap na namin dito hindi namin nakita…  O sige na at may appearance kami ngayon eh… [It’s missing…  My bag fell and probably it was thrown out and I did not notice it…  We have search the room and we didn’t find it…  I have to go…  We have an appearance to go to…]
