Chapter 67- Back Home Again

              

"Alright everyone, we're nearly home" Nick says as he focuses on the road. We've been on the road home for nearly 2 hours.

"Finally, this feels like the longest journey ever" Rhydian says.

"Quit moaning Rhydian" Tommy says.

"Boys, don't start" Aaron says.

"When you seeing Jessica again?" Zak asks Aaron.

"Not sure, hopefully soon though" Aaron answers.

"You really like her don't you?" Joe asks.

"Yeah, I really like her, but I just wanna see how things go for now" Aaron says. Soon we are home, Joe is dropped off at his place first, followed by Aaron and the boys, then me and Zak.

"Alright Charlie, let's get unpacked and then we can do whatever we want" Zak says as we get in.

"I know dad" I say.

"Cheeky" He says as we take our bags upstairs. We go into our rooms and start unpacking our stuff. I feel my phone buzz in my pocket. A text from Alex, that's weird, I don't think he's ever texted me before, and he's at school, I hope everything is ok.

'Hey Charlie, you back yet?' He texts.

'Hey Alex, yeah just got back, everything ok?' I reply.

'Yeah everything is cool, I was wondering if you wanna hang out sometime, without everyone else around' He texts.

'Yeah sure, that'll be cool, when do you wanna hang?' I reply.

'Whenever you're free I guess' He texts.

'Alex, I'm always free unless I'm at school or away for Ghost Adventures' I reply.

'How about I come over after school today?' He texts.

'Sounds good, I'll tell my dad, see you later' I reply. I finish unpacking.

"Charlie you finished unpacking?" Zak asks as he walks into my room.

"Nearly, just got a few more things to sort out" I say.

"Why is it taking you longer to unpack?" He asks sitting on my bed.

"Alex was texting me" I answer.

"Ok, fair enough" He says. "I don't wanna like make you tell me what you're talking about, invade your privacy or whatever so, I won't ask" He says.

"But you want me to tell you why he was texting me" I say. "He wants to hang out, without the others, I told him that he can come over here after school" I say.

"And what if I don't let him?" He asks.

"Why wouldn't you, he's a cool lad, he's my friend" I say.

"Just a friend though?" He asks.

"Yeah, just a friend, dad you're so obsessed about me not getting a boyfriend, I don't even think he likes me that way anyway so there's nothing to worry about" I say.

"So why does he wanna see you without anyone else if he doesn't like you that way?" He asks.

"Ok dad, now you're trying to mess with me" I say laughing which causes him to laugh.

"I'm trying to be serious sweetie" He says while laughing.

"I don't know dad, but even if he does like me, we won't happen if I don't like him back" I say.

"Do you like him?" He asks. "You better say no" He says.

"I don't know, I've not thought about relationships" I say as I finish unpacking.
