Ayame froze in her spot, but at this moment she had already closed the gap half way to Avrin and was dead in the center of the shadow wall technique Avrin had used. She gazed around in surprise as well as shock, somewhat nervous as she had never encountered magic like this before let alone much magic at all. Shimaru was also quite surprised as his eyes were wide open, not daring to blink as to miss what might occur next.

Ayame heard Avrin's voice and quickly unsheathed two kunai these kunai were made with the metal Aerium. As the name would imply, it was steel with special properties towards the air affinity making it light, and when thrown it was as if it could fly. It was also quite durable. A perfect material for a shinobi.

"Ayame, I dared not underestimate you...Especially during our first encounter...You have speed going for you so I pondered my situation...And the solution was simple." Avrin smirked as he was concealed behind dozens of shadow walls.

The wall in front of Ayame began to glow before a large jet black pillar made from dark matter shot out quickly towards Ayame. She was nearly caught off guard, she barely managed to avoid it by jumping to the side. The pillar retracted back into the wall

Where Ayame had landed, behind her another shadow wall began to glow before another pillar shot towards her at an incredible speed. This time she was taken by surprise, barely having enough time to turn and attempt to block it, but the force of the hit had knocked her back several meters and onto the ground after she had hit a shadow wall and slammed down.

"S...Shit..." She coughed up some blood to which Avrin sighed in relief. It seemed he had now gotten the advantage

"Ayame, I don't intend to injure you greatly. Please forfeit..." He spoke not in a boastful manner but he tried to make due with his situation and convince her to surrender. But this was the wrong move on his behalf, he was not dealing with people in his universe who were outgunned. This female shinobi had pride and honor.

"A..Avrin" Ayame spoke softly as she stood up clutching her kunai with a trail of blood across the sides of her lips a large amount of killing intend seeping out of her "You cheap bastard.....I'm going to..."

Avrin blinked as he felt this killing intent. Without hesitation, 2 walls in front and to the side of Ayame shot pillars towards her. But she managed to dodge one expecting it and jump on the other before jumping on the ground again.

"Kill you...!!" Avrin's eyes narrowed. He had to step up his game. He called out "I won't lose Ayame..." All the shadow walls began to glow before shooting out rapidly at a lightning pace. This caught Ayame off guard, thinking he could not control them all at once. She had barely dodged a few as the pace they shot out was almost as fast as her. But the pace as well as the placing of the shadow walls was too much and she was hit several times.

Like a ragdoll that tried to protect itself she was hit around while crying out in pain. It made Shimaru almost cringe and Avrin himself who was keen in showing her he was not to be trifled with felt a little pity for her, but he knew he had to beat respect into her one way or another.

A tactic used when training troops when they are disrespectful, beat them down until they submit. Of course this usually only worked with those troops that were aggressive.

Avrin stopped using the barrage of shadow wall pillar's and lowered his hand which was somewhat numb it was a new technique and creating it overnight exhausted him as well as used quite a bit of energy. Even now he was absorbing mana from the surroundings. Until his body was honed and trained more he could not be as efficient as he wanted.

He didn't want this fight to drag on. Especially against someone like her who has trained for years and was used to fighting. Ayame had laid limp on the ground with her body battered and bruised, but this didn't stop her. She began to twitch a bit before leaning up. Her eyes covered in darkness as they weren't visible. Her hair messed up as it covered her face.
