📍 𝙽𝚊𝚎𝚐𝚘𝚔-𝚍𝚘𝚗𝚐,
𝚂𝚎𝚘𝚌𝚑𝚘 𝙳𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚌𝚝, 𝚂𝚎𝚘𝚞𝚕,
𝚂𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚑 𝙺𝚘𝚛𝚎𝚊
I'm back to the same place where all the drama had occurred—Jeon Junsu's mansion.
We finally step out of the car, as the guards follow to the side and behind us, keeping a barricade. We were all dressed in black like we were going to a funeral or something. I'm in my Dior black high slit fringe mini dress while Jimin is in his full black outfit next to me. He's wearing a sleek black embroidered Celine jacket, pairing with a black turtle neck, black trousers and slender boots.
Jimin and I will be having dinner with the Jeon family tonight. I didn't understand why Jimin would want to go. But it seems like his anger for his father had somewhat subsided. He doesn't seem to have any hatred towards him anymore—at least that's what I'm assuming.
I was hesitant to come today, considering it had only been a week since the whole thing had happened. But it was also because I don't know if I can ever face Jungkook—especially now that Jimin and I are officially together.
We are finally nearing the gigantic double doors of uncle Junsu's mansion, and see the guards there already watching us like a hawk. I guess Junsu is still not allowing himself to keep his guard down even if Jimin is his son.
We make our way towards the doors, feeling my nerves kicking in again. I think Jimin can feel my nervousness too, as he brings my hand towards his face and gives it a gentle kiss.
"Don't worry, I doubt he would even come," he reassures me. But there was a hint of irritation in his voice, as he holds onto my hand right and steers me inside the massive place.
I guess he was referring about Jungkook coming. But how did he even know I would be nervous about him?
We finally make it towards the dining room, and see that everyone is already there chatting away until it gradually goes silent when they realize Jimin and I standing from the entrance way.
I scan around the table and see Junsu, Hyori, Taehyung, Jin and J-Hope. My eyes stays on Taehyung as he stares at me with an emotion-less expression. I give him a tense smile but he looks away, not having any care.
My eyes downcast, feeling my heart ache to see a special friend of mine stilling hating me.
But my eyes scan the table again and realize one person is missing—Jungkook.
I let out a small sigh of relief. Maybe he won't come after all.
"Jimin and y/n, welcome!" Junsu gets up to greet us and I could see how uncomfortable Jimin is, but still manages to give Junsu a force smile.
Junsu clears his throat, "Boys." He shoots a cold look at the three quiet boys not paying any attention our way.
"Oh hey, welcome..." Jin finally speaks, with force enthusiasm.
"Yeah...welcome..." J-hope mumbles, with no emotion or energy.
I see Junsu's eyes glare at Taehyung who is sitting there sipping his water not saying a thing but he soon places his glass cup down and looks up at us.
"Welcome," he finally say, with voice low and cold. His eyes focus on Jimin and the two glare at one another for a few moments until finally Jimin pull me towards the table.
"Please take a seat," Junsu sits back down onto the host seat, while Hyori is seated right next to him.
Jimin sits right across Hyori, and I of course sit next to him. Next to Hyori—which is across me—is an empty seat. I assume that seat is for Jungkook. Next to the empty seat is Taehyung and then Jin, while J-Hope is seated on the other side of me.
I look at Jin and he gives me a weak smile, then I shift towards J-Hope but he does the same. I look towards Taehyung, again. He's seating with his arms folded, looking down. He seems like he doesn't want to be here.
As I turn to look at Jimin, I caught Hyori's cold eyes on me, as she takes a sip of her red wine.
I can feel the awkwardness radiating in the air.
No one seems to want to speak until uncle Junsu finally speaks, "Excuse Jungkook's punctuality, he—" he stops, as he looks up ahead of him.
All of us turn our heads to the direction of his eyes and see Jungkook.
I gulp at the sight of him.
He abruptly stops, as he stands with wistful eyes, looking at all of us sitting together on the table.
There's something different about him. It's...his demeanour. He didn't have that confident and cold demeanour he usually projects. He seems exhausted. No emotions, just tired dark eyes.
All eyes are watching him, as he finally walks towards his seat, across me. I focus my gaze back at Jimin, trying to avoid eye contact with Jungkook but Jimin's eyes are watching him coldly.
"Well son, it's great that you actually came," Junsu greets him. But Jungkook didn't respond. He sits with his eyes down, with a gloomy expression. I don't think I've ever seen him show this type of demeanour in public. He always has the most arrogant expression and never let anyone see him down.
"It's nice to have both my sons here," Don Junsu says trying to cut the tension in the air. But it remains silent.
"So, Ms. Kim, aren't you tired going back and forth between two men?" Hyori suddenly blurts out.
I narrow my eyes at her, feeling disgusted and annoyed of her words. But I could see Junsu glaring at her, looking upset of what she had said.
"What?" Hyori scornfully looks at Junsu. "I'm just asking what everyone in this room is thinking." She glance back at me, as she sips her wine glass.
How does she have the audacity to say that to me? When she been having an affair all this time. I figured that out when I hired a private investigator to check of anything I can use against her. But I had kept that to myself, until I can one day make good use of that information.
"Well, Ms. Jeon, I can ask you the same thing," I jeeringly look at her. I could hear J-Hope beside me choking on his wine, trying hard to suppress his laugh.
"How dare you insult me in my own house!" Hyori snaps.
"Hyori calm down!" Junsu scolds her.
"Ms. Jeon, with all do disrespect, I suggest you watch how you speak," Jimin cuts in, as he rubs my thigh underneath the table. "This is my girlfriend, you are talking to. The one who co-owns your company—the only source of income you have."
Jimin threatens her with his eyes, as he takes a sip of his wine.
She immediately becomes quiet, as she glares between Jimin and I, until finally looking away with frustration.
It's silent once again.
Only the sounds of chopsticks hitting the plates and sipping down wine. I don't know why Junsu thought all this would be a good idea. Everyone in this table doesn't get along with one another.
"Jimin..uh..son," Junsu speaks, breaking the silence. "I'm actually planning on having a celebration sometime this week, and inviting all my friends and associates of the mafia to officially introduce you as my son."
"I won't be able to this week or next week," Jimin reply, as he looks at me and grabs my hand under the table. "Y/n and I will actually be out of the country. I'm taking her on vacation for two weeks."
My heart jumps hearing a loud glass slamming onto the table, making J-hope jump in his seat beside me.
It was from Jungkook. He had slammed his wine glass harshly onto the table after taking a sip. But he continued on eating like nothing happened.
"Aish," Jin holds onto his heart, gasping. "Bro, the fuck was that?" he looks at Jungkook breathing heavily. But Jungkook glares at him then turns back to eating his food.
I turn my attention back to Jimin, ignoring Jungkook's behaviour. This was news to me. I didn't even know we were.
"Oh I see, then I'll just push the event further then," Junsu looking dismay. "Where are you guys going?"
"I'll be taking her to Paris," Jimin looks at me smilingly.
"Oh really? Paris is beautiful," Junsu responds, then takes a sip of his red wine. "Well, I hope you two have fun."
"Oh we will..." Jimin turns towards me and smirks. I suddenly feel myself getting nervous as I quickly pick up my wine glass and gulping it to avoid this awkward situation.
"But not too much fun, you don't wanna come back here with a baby," J-Hope whimsical said, not putting any thought to what he said as he continues eating his food.
I instantly choke on my wine, and I can hear J-Hope about to chuckle but stops himself and looks down.
"Damn baby," Jimin rubs my back as I cough. "Relax with the wine."
I can feel my cheeks turning red from embarrassment.
"No, there won't be one I can promise you that," Jimin immediately say towards J-hope, but then looks at me mischievously, "Unless..."
I glare at Jimin and squeeze his thigh to express my frustration. He immediately smirks at my reaction.
I just wanted to run away from this embarrassing situation. What was I even doing here? This is the most awkward situation I've ever been in. I'm having dinner with my ex-husband—but not really husband—and with his entire family. I just wanted to leave already.

Finally, this dinner is over.
I sit back onto my chair trying to remain in perfect posture, as the maids come in to take the plates away. The entire time eating dinner in this tense room, Jimin, Junsu, Jin and J-hope were the only ones conversing with one another while Jungkook, Taehyung and Hyori had remained quiet.
Suddenly, Hyori aggressively push his chair back and storms out the dining room without saying a word.
"Excuse her," Junsu looks towards Jimin.
"No worries, Mr. Jeon," Jimin responds. "But thanks for inviting us for dinner."
Why is he so unusually friendly towards uncle Junsu?
"Well, we do have a business meeting today so I figured I might as well have both of you for dinner," Junsu smiles earnestly, then gets up from his seat. "Let's get going shall we?"
Jimin nods his head. "Right, of course."
Junsu and Jimin are the only ones having a meeting to further discuss and finalize the shares of Junsu's business that he will be giving to Jimin.
Junsu finally leaves the dining room and immediately the soldiers standing outside the hall of the dining room follow along with him towards his office.
I don't know if it's a good idea to leave us alone here. But I guess there's a reason why Junsu left guards standing out the dining entrance in case a fight were to break out.
"I'll get going now baby," Jimin turns towards me, with his arm around my chair. "You can either wait here or wait in the car."
"I'll wait in the car," I respond timidly.
"Alright, the guards will accompany you, I don't trust anyone in this house," Jimin says out loud for all the four boys in the room to hear. I immediately hear a snort come out of J-hope beside me.
Jimin gets up from his chair, feeling nervous with the thought of being left alone with these boys. But I soon feel his warm touch onto my bare shoulders behind me, then crouch toward my cheek placing a quick kiss.
Jimin turns his head to look at the person across me then suddenly feel his hand slightly turn my head to face him and brush his lips onto mine. I can feel him smiling, then soon deepens the kiss. I just know well he's doing this purposely because he knows Jungkook is watching.
"So you guys really just gonna make out right in-front of us," J-hope interrupts, sounding annoyed. I hear Jin chuckling in the background.
Jimin finally pulls away, brushing his thumb on my lips then straightens himself up. "See you later, baby."
I immediately look down, as he walks out the room, leaving me alone with these four men but his guards are watching from a distance keeping their eyes closely at Jungkook.
I don't know if I want to look up.
I've been avoiding eye contact with Jungkook. But he didn't even say any word this whole time. He had been expression-less and quiet in his seat.
But I couldn't help but finally look up and instantly our eyes meet, giving me a sudden chill. His eyes looks tired and carried a sense of deep sadness.
I could tell he's completely torn from this whole situation. He has the look of defeat.
