POV | Ryujin
"Haha.. here we go, here we go..." I set up my camera, spraying the perfume in the passenger seat, then hiding the can. I decided to play a joke on her like I was with someone else when I went to pick her up from work. I looked out the window, seeing her on her phone, and eating a sandwich. She worked at the local Starbucks and she hates coffee but somehow works there- like bitch?
Anyway, she asked me to pick her up since she had her car get an oil change this morning. They had a whole bunch of customers so they wouldn't have it ready until sometime tomorrow. I also asked her to bring me a cake pop because I've always loved their cake pops. Oh fuck here she comes. I unlocked the doors, looking around, and turned the radio down. Yeji opened the door, "Hi baby~~" I bit my lip, "Hey.." I'm so fucking scared right now.
Yeji set down her phone in the car and looked at me, "What's wrong?" I shook my head, "Nothing." She nodded, sitting down, and was about to hand me the Starbucks bag when she sniffed. Shit. I put my seatbelt on and then looked at her. She looked in the backseats and sniffed, looking confused. "What?" I said annoyed. Yeji blinked, sniffing my shirt. I looked down at her face, being scared AF. "What the fuck Ryujin, it's smells so.. different in here."
"What do you mean?" I stabbed my fingernail into my other hand. "Is it this thing?" Yeji leaned up, sniffing my car refresher. "No," She mumbled, looking around. "Baby what?" I looked at her. Yeji sniffed me again. "I promise it's not me, I showered today." She pulled away, sniffing the passenger seat, "Who was in here? That's not my perfume." I gulped, sweating from being so nervous.
Yeji eyed me down with her cat eyes, "Ryujin, who was in here?" I put my hand on the steering wheel, "I don't know what you mean baby." She smacked my arm, pulling me. I blinked, looking at the other. "Who were you with? Tell me right now." I froze, not knowing what to say. "Are you seeing someone else?" I bit my lip, "N-no.." Yeji got out of the car, going around to my side. "Oh shit," I muttered and then she opened my door. Yeji sat down on my lap, "Hey, tell me what's going on."
"I-it was just a prank baby." Yeji raised her eyebrow, "A prank?" I nervously took the perfume and kissed her lips softly. "That's not mine..." Yeji says. "I know, I wanted to prank you with another girl's perfume." She gasped, "Ryujin, you had me scared." I reached over, pressing stop on my camera. I then kissed her again. Yeji pouted, "Don't do that baby.." I chuckled, playing with her hair, "Okay, okay."
Yeji pulled away, handing me the Starbucks bag, "Here baby." I kissed her cheek, "Thank you." She nodded, getting off, and going to her side. She pulled out her perfume in her purse and sprayed it, "Geez we need to get this smell out of here.." I chuckled a bit, "It's actually a quite nice scent." Yeji glared at me, "So you're saying I smell bad?" I was about to say something but she shushed me, "No I get it, you like girls with that scent."
"I love girls with your scent." Nice one Ryu. Yeji gave a little grin, "Ah saved yourself." I pulled out of the parking lot, "I do that a lot." Yeji snorted, "Yeah, you're gonna get the girlfriend lecture, if you don't." I gave a small chuckle and bit my lip. That was very true. "How was your day hon?" Yeji suddenly asked in her sweet angelic voice. That always puts a smile on my face, even if I actually had a bad day.
"It was okay, a lot of confusion with the random power outs." Yeji raised her eyebrow, "Power outs?" I chuckled, "Hm yeah. That's what I thought. Well anyways there was some error in the wifi, I really don't know since I don't work down in the warehouse but it was very frustrating when your computer would shut down, losing all your progress." I made a sarcastic remark. Yeji put her hand on my back, rubbing it, "I'm sorry honey." I looked over at her, showing my whisker dimples.
"What?" Yeji asked softly. I pursed my lips, leaning a little bit. She kissed me, "I'm sure it didn't make your day easier to have to pick me up today.." I threw my hand, "Pfft, not at all." She nodded, sitting back up, and took her hat off. Then she let her silver hair out of her hair tie. The cat-eyed girl stretched her back and then leaned over to me, "Babe scratch my back." I scratched her, keeping one hand on the wheel, and my eyes on the road.
"Ah.. that feels good." Yeji looked pleasured. I rubbed her back and then kissed her shoulder. She leaned up and then laid her head on my shoulder, "Let's get in the hot tub tonight.." I bit my lip, "Sorry, I can't, the games' on tonight." Yeji put her face in front of mine, "Really?" She looked angry and disappointed. I tilted my head away to see the road, "Yes really." Yeji huffed, "All you care about is sports."
"No-uh," I shook my head. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me, you're literally wearing a sports hat." I glared, "I have to support my team." Yeji crossed her arms, "Why don't you support your girlfriend by having some romantic time in the hot tub?" I rolled my eyes, "We had sex last weekend, let me have a fucking night to watch my game." Yeji scoffed, "Oh shut up, you don't get everything you want." I said, "And neither do you." She smacked my arm.
I huffed, "I'm driving here." Yeji growled, "I try to be nice and give you nights to do on your own and I understand that but sometimes I wanna do something together. Like we haven't even gone on a date in like a month." I rolled my eyes, "Please, I took you to that bar, Monday." Yeji said, "With friends. Baby please.. I just wanna have some one-on-one stuff.." She twirled circles on my chest. I bit my lip, feeling heat build up.
"Every night this week, you've been watching a game, or out with your friends, what about me baby? I mean I hate to be clingy but I miss you.." I pulled into our driveway and thought about things. As soon as I parked the car, I got out, going inside.
POV | Yeji
"Ugh she's such a jerk. Never gonna change. You know I should just take away the TV to get love." I shook my head irritatingly. I mean please tell me I have a point to want to have love time with my girlfriend. And I do get it that we both need to have our independent times but.. we're a couple.. and it just gets boring.
I got out of the car, taking my stuff, and going inside. Ryujin was on the couch with a cold beer in her hands and flipped the channel. "Drinking at 4?" I scolded her. "Would you shut up already?" I blinked, gasping, "Excuse me?" Ryujin said, "I'm sick of you talking shit about me." I set down my purse on the counter, "Now when did I ever get mean to you? I was asking very nicely Ryujin and you know that when I'm mad I'll ask being mad. Now change that fucking attitude because it's pissing me off."
"I don't care! I don't care at all! Just stop talking to me!" Ryujin threw a tissue box at me. I scoffed, putting it back on the coffee table, and yanked on her hair, "Throw something at me one more time, I dare you." Ryujin showed her teeth to me and rolled her eyes at me. "Oh? Oh okay, you wanna play that game huh? You think you can just do that?" Ryujin growled, "Shut up Yeji." I gasped, stomping my foot, "Shin Ryujin! You stop it right now!" Ryujin hissed, standing up, "You leave me alone!"
I walked away, muttering, "Never mind, I'll just never ask to do anything with you again," I went upstairs, slamming the door. I huffed loud, plopping down on the bed. And about five minutes later, I heard the footsteps up the stairs. "B-baby.. I'm sorry-" Ryujin almost tried opening the door but I stayed in front of it, "No-uh. You are prohibited from being in this room until further notice." Ryujin looked at me with puppy eyes. I grabbed her blanket, and all her shit, kicking it out the door.
"B-baby please let me apologize-" I slammed my hand on the door, "No! Go fucking sleep on the couch! I don't want to see your ugly disgusting face anymore!" Ryujin blinked, "Y-you think I'm ugly?" I showed my teeth, "Go the fuck downstairs, I'm sick of talking to you." Ryujin wailed, "Yeji please..." I slammed the door on her face and locked it, going to our bed. I laid down on the bed, sighing while holding my teddy bears. "I'm gonna get in that hot tub and flip her off."
| Time Lapse | 6 pm
I wasn't gonna make her dinner, that wasn't my job. So she was gonna starve and I was gonna starve until she makes something. You may say I'm pretty harsh but I was raised well and my mother taught me the tricks. Especially the mom stare. I call it the girlfriend stare though. Ryujin knows it and knows it WELL. Usually she's a good one, but sometimes, she'll piss me off, and I give that stare. Oh she's scared for life. That's my specialty. My superpower.
Anyway, my stomach was growling, and I was sure hungry.. so I went downstairs, looking over at Ryujin on the couch. She was watching her game and focused. "You making dinner?" Ryujin says a little loud because of the TV volume. The way I wanted to kill her when she said that. I grabbed tortilla chips and then flipped her off, going upstairs. You should've seen her face. She was confused and had a blank face on.
I rolled my eyes as I went back upstairs, slamming the door again. That felt good. I opened the bag and started eating, thinking about stuff too. Would she make dinner? No, her stupid fucking game is on. AND I pay that fucking bill! Oooo.. that gives me an idea. What if I don't pay it and have it shut off. No... I'm not that cruel. Wait.. this means I can also get some time to myself. But I've watched my shows like every night this week, like the only thing I want to do is cuddle and watch our shows together. Or we put on a show hihi.
I sighed, feeling so bored. I didn't even have the encouragement to eat. Or watch my show, or cook dinner, or anything. About 20 minutes in of this boredom, I heard the doorbell. Oh please don't tell me she's inviting people over. I then heard footsteps and something outside the door, hit the ground. The footsteps went downstairs. I blinked, "Maybe it was Hongsam." I couldn't help but get curious so I went over, opening the door to see a pizza box.
I kneeled down, opening the lid, it was a pepperoni pizza, my favorite, and a brownie on the side with a note, "Please enjoy, my love <3" Then there was a heart with Ryujin's signature. She ordered a pizza for me? Aw.. I mean I'm still mad but she at least saved herself from more trouble. I turned on my lamp and put the box on my desk, starting to eat. She is really kind, it's just.. some things bother me. She always has to be locked in on something like a sport or a show and just forget about me. Why can't I be the one locked in on?
I mean yes we had sex last weekend.. and I'm not a person to be greedy, but.. I wish we could have more time. And I sorta felt bad for calling Ryujin ugly, that hurts her feelings. I just remembering seeing her face and at the time I was happy to see it but now that I think about it, I'm not. Ryujin's not a person to get insecure but when people say things like that, it does hurt her feelings. I mean I am definitely an insecure person. I'm the type of person to rule whatever bad thing the person did on them. I want to make them feel bad.
That's kind of mean, isn't it? I mean she is my girlfriend, the love of my life, who I live and share lots with.. you know maybe she doesn't deserve that. But then again, I do a lot of work in our relationship, and Ryujin always has to bring us down. It's like a roller coaster. Up, down, up, down, spin, up, down, (you get the point). It gets annoying when our relationship doesn't function correctly but life isn't perfect. Hell relationships aren't perfect either. It's really hard.
I finished my pizza in the deep thoughts I was having, including the brownie too, and got up, going into my closet to strip. Once I stripped fully, I put my robe around myself, and went downstairs, seeing Ryujin eating pizza, and watching the game again. I bit my lip, watching her eat messily which triggered me since there was pizza sauce all over her mouth. I snuck up behind her, wiping her mouth. Ryujin flinched, looking back at me. Ugh I couldn't forget about what she said to me.
I regret doing that. Ryujin gave me soft eyes, watching as I went out back. I took a deep breath, going to the hot tub with my rubber ducky's. Mind as well. I took off my robe, nakedly, getting in, and had deja vu. I was sitting in Ryujin's lap and she was holding me from behind, giving me neck kisses that made me melt. I exhaled, getting shivers as I thought about it. I was all alone, the only lights being from our living room and the hot tub. It felt empty and dark..
It felt cold, even though it was steaming hot in here. I covered my chest by crossing my arms and held back my tears. I mocked what she said in a whiny voice, "Shut up Yeji." I wiped a tear, "You shut up Ryujin." I hated the feeling of feeling like Ryujin was behind me. It made me raise my shoulders, thinking about all the times those shoulders were relaxed, and kissed on. "Okay, come on, pull it together, and shove it in her face that you are strong and not affected by her words."
I played with the rubber ducky's, showing that I was completely fine being by myself. I probably looked like a child and certainly felt like one. I then saw movement through the window and saw Ryujin get up. I blinked, trying to move past it, and enjoy my playing time. "I'm Ryujin!" I talked in Ryujin's accent and picked up the duck. "I'm Yeji!" I said in my accent and then made them kiss. "You are so pretty," I said for Ryujin. "Thanks, you too!" I put them together, "Mwahhh."
I then felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped, gasping, and slapping the person in the face. "Ow! Ow... shit.." It was Ryujin. I screamed, "Get out!" Ryujin was still holding her face and looked at me. I was terrified now because I didn't even see her get in. "Calm down.." Ryujin tried to grab me. "Uh-uh. 3 feet of space, you get any closer, I'm beating your ass." She gulped, staying in her spot. I moved to the furthest place away from her. I made sure my boobs were covered and my legs were crossed.
"I thought you were watching your game," I hissed, looking at the naked younger. "I realized something was more important," Ryujin spoke calmly which I hated because I was pissed at her. "I don't fucking care anymore, watch the stupid game." Ryujin moved closer, I scooted away, "3 feet!" She mumbled, "Right, right, I forgot." I shook my head irritatingly, making annoyed sounds.
"You do care," Ryujin said. "I don't care! I literally just said it! I don't care anymore!" I yelled. "Stop yelling.." Ryujin whined, covering her ear. I slapped her arm. "Ow! Jesus! What about the 3 feet thing?" I moved closer to her and slapped her face making her wince. I gave the stare. Ryujin panicked, avoiding eye contact. I pulled her chin up, growling, "Look at me." I saw the fear in her eyes.
"I-I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.." She hesitated, whimpering. "Get out," I let go of her chin. "B-but baby.. I just got in here," She gave a nervous chuckle and put her hands on my thighs. I slapped her again, "Don't touch me pervert!" Ryujin curled up, burying her face in her knees. "Out.." My voice hurt from yelling. Ryujin nodded, moving past me, and got out, putting on her robe. She was about to say something but I shook my head. Ryujin bit her lip, going back inside.
The anger left. I exhaled, "Ugh, how dare she do that." I didn't feel like spending any more time in here so I got out, putting on my robe, and put the cover back on. I went back inside, not daring to look her way, and went upstairs, slamming the door once again. I whined, taking off my robe, and sat on the bed. I pouted, looking around, feeling horrible. I felt horrible because.. I couldn't get the cuddles my body was aching for. I couldn't grab Ryujin and cuddle her.
"Ugh I hate fights so fucking much!" I was now pissed and all upset that I just put on pajamas and cried myself asleep.
| Time Lapse | The next morning
I took a deep breath, going downstairs. She looked so.. squished on that couch. I bit my lip, going into the kitchen. I didn't know what to do so I just simply made my way over to the couch just to fully look at her I guess. Ryujin was hugging a body pillow, which.. I knew that'd be me. She's always clingy when we sleep. Ryujin did look precious when she sleeps. A little smile formed on my lips. Even though we might be in a fight, I was just tired of it, and couldn't help but admire her beauty.
"Nghh.. mmh.. ugh.. hsdhshh... Yejiii..." Ryujin whined, shaking, and reached over to the body pillow. I blinked, watching her. She grabbed the pillow and then opened her eyes, pursing her lips, "Oh." I stepped away for a second so she wouldn't see me. Ryujin's lip trembled, "Yejiiii.... Yejiiiii..." I can't leave this girl for long. She has separation anxiety and ptsd from what happened to her a long time ago. I bit my lip, not knowing what to do. Usually she'll have attacks when we're sleeping but I always hug her and tell she's alright and that she'll never lose me.
Ryujin made up weird sounds and hit the couch, crying, "Yejiiii!!!" I gulped, coming over, and holding her hand softly. "Yejiiii!!" Ryujin sobbed, having the attack. I quickly laid on top of her, rubbing her sides, "Baby it's me..." Ryujin wailed, "Don't leave me sissy! Don't leave meeeeeee!" She cried. It hurt my heart to listen to her call for her sister. I kissed her and kissed her, over and over to calm her down. Ryujin opened her puffy eyes, looking at me with wrinkled eyebrows, and tears stained on her cheeks.
I hugged her tight, rocking her, "I've got you baby.. I'm not gonna leave you.." Ryujin laid her head in my neck, "B-babyyyy.. I'm sorrryyy.." She continued to cry. I shushed her, "Shhh.. listen to me, it's okay, you don't have to apologize right now." Ryujin wrapped her arms around me, "J-just please let me back in our room.. I can't sleep without someone.." I noticed that. I took deep breaths, "I'm sorry too honey, I was just upset.."
They continued on to no longer fight and just talk things through.
