I stared at her as she walked down the aisle, a beautiful, white wedding dress hugging her body perfectly. The bouquet she was holding carried beautiful flowers as the veil she wore on her head, beautifully adorned her hair. She was beautiful... I couldn't wait for this to end and go home.

"Hey Gouenji." I looked behind me and saw her. Brown locks swaying lightly as she looked at me with shining, onyx orbs.

i wasn't even aware
of my own feelings
back then.

"Wanna sit with me at lunch?" she asked, a hint of enthusiasm in her voice.

she always lingered
around me. she was
always there, within
my line of sight.

"Hey Gouenji... Uhh, how do you this?" She asked as she showed me her notebook that held a few notes regarding the question she asked me. I chuckled before showing her how to do it.

i remembered how i
rushed to her house

day. as i slammed the
door open, she was there,
sitting on the floor of her
apartment, bawling and
crying her heart out.

i embraced her, as her
hands clutched her
chest where her heart
was at. her eyes were
red, her cheeks were
stained with tears.

"W... Was I not enough...?" That sentence alone shot me right in the heart. My heart was being viciously teared apart, by this girl's words that weren't for me.

she'd ask. her heart would
always break, she turned
into an emotionless doll
that had the tiniest bit
of humanity left.

"It hurts Gouenji... Why...?"

i said nothing as i stroked
the back of her head, my
fingers running through
her silky, brown locks,
whispering sweet nothings
into her ear as she cried.
the day she found someone
to love, was day my heart
shattered into a million pieces.

My phone vibrated. I reached my hand towards the nightstand, groaning as my hand touched the small item. "It's so early... Who the hell...?" I squinted my eyes open as I looked at the message on my screen.

Kira

Can we meet up? I want you to meet someone.
:: 8:31 a.m

my hands shook
violently that day as
i contemplated whether
i should answer or not.

Great! I'll see you there!

of course i'd meet with
her. i met up with her,
met her new boyfriend
