After getting used to the new house and breaking in the kitchen like only I can do I felt right at home. I enjoyed getting back to my roots and being free once again. It's different than home because his place was a lot more modern, a lot more edgy, and a lot more insulated. Don't get me wrong, I love my home, but air conditioning is nice too you know. As far as homes go, this one is at the top of my list, but only because Patrick is here too.

I have to admit that I missed singing and performing and meeting the amazing all our fans, but having down time with Patrick has its own positives. Like his lips and his muscles... and his butt.

But after putting it off for forever at the end of August I decided I should probably go look for a wedding dress. Patrick insists I could just wear one of his shirts and he would still love it but I'm not sure that's a wedding album I will be proud of. He just didn't want me to leave because then he only hand Precious to cuddle with.

Patrick's family comes out to see the new house then his sisters and mom would join me and Vivian and Lindsey and my adopted mom in wedding dress shopping. In just over 5 short months was the wedding and I could not wait.

I meet everyone at a small bridal shop in downtown Chicago and we get right to it. I was opened to everything and was honestly just excited to see everyone again. I didn't need to walk out of here with a dress but I would really like to.

"Hi sweetie, how are you" Donna asks giving me a hug. I squeeze her tight and smile big.

"I'm doing great. How are you" I ask.

"I'm good. Excited to be back in Chicago, and really excited to go dress shopping. It's been too long" she claims.

"Well then you can help me because I have no idea what I'm looking for" I admit.

"We do" Jessica cheers causing me to smile. At least everyone was excited.

Everyone hands me two or three dresses then Vivian comes in the changing room to help me. I strip down to my underwear because honestly she has probably seen me naked as many times as Patrick had. She hands me the first dress and I slip it on, it was a mermaid style dress, cute, but not my thing.

"Have I ever told you how jealous I am of your body" she says zipping me up.

"You haven't, and you have an amazing body so I have no clue as to why you think that" I admit.

"I like my body, but I like yours better" she shrugs.

"Well I don't want you to change a single thing about yourself. Not your hair or your body or your style. Not a thing. I love you just like this" I say hugging her.

"Usually your niceness nauseates me but I'll accept this one" she claims and I roll my eyes.

I go out and show everyone the dress, and they like it too, but agree it isn't the one. I try on a few more mermaid dresses and ball gown ones and loved them all. But I didn't see myself getting married in them.

Finally I find this one dress, larger than life, I was obsessed with it.

"Oh Liz, this is breathtaking" Vivian whispers

"Oh Liz, this is breathtaking" Vivian whispers.

"It's amazing" I admit. I look at the circle of mirrors and felt like crying, I've never seen something so beautiful.

I walk out of the changing room and it falls silent. I make my way to the little perch and stand before my closest friends and family and future family. Everyone was smiling bright and my mom starts crying. I too start to cry before someone finally talks.

"Wow... you look stunning" Erica says.

"My brothers gonna cry like a baby" Jackie claims causing us to laugh.

"Is this the one" Donna ask and I nod.

"It is" I sniffle.

After getting my dress we look for red bridesmaids dresses. We find a style that everyone likes and gets them fitted.

After a long day shopping I take everyone out for pizza

After a long day shopping I take everyone out for pizza. We deserved it. We sit around the table and just talk like we hadn't spent the whole day together.

"Is it sinking in that you're getting married soon" Erica asks.

"Yeah. I mean the house was a great surprise, I can't wait for you guys to see it" I smile.

"If you would have told me three years ago that Patrick was going to be living on a farm... I would have laughed in your face" Donna admits.

"I was a bit surprised too, but he's a good farm hand. He's great with the horses and since we don't have anything in the fields he doesn't have to worry about it" I explain.

"Does he wear boots and dirty jeans" Jessica asks.

"He does" I smile.

"I always knew I liked that boy" my mom admits. Me too.

Eventually I have to go home and we all go our separate ways. Donna and the girls would have stayed with us but they didn't even know he bought a house.

I find Patrick on the front porch waiting for me. Precious was curled up next to him as he rocks back and fourth in his chair. I sit in the rocking chair next to him before he picks up my hand and kissing the back of it.

"I missed you" he starts.

"I missed you too" I smile.

"So did you find everything you needed" he wonders.

"Yup, got a wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses" I reply excitedly.

"There's no way of me seeing you in the dress I until he wedding day... is there" he teases.

"Nope. You'll have to wait" I smirk.

"You know I'm impatient" he reminds me.

"Me too" I admit.

"So now what" he asks.

"Can we go to bed. I'm tired" I admit. He comes over and picks me up before bringing me inside.

"That's not what I meant. I just wanted to get some rest" I giggle.

"Just practicing for our honeymoon" he claims. He sets me on our bed before crawling in next to me. I hold his arms as he holds me close. I press my face into his chest and listen to his breathing. Eventually it evens out and I giggle at the fact we were both funnily dressed. But I didn't mind, I had all I needed right in front of me.
