I meet Tate at Chicago cut with Patrick and his agent late this Friday night. I try my best to stay calm but man, was this hard. Vivian and the band is holding down the fort back at the bar because the owner needed someone to perform tonight while I took care of this. I promised to do my best to get us a deal so we can get out of the bar and into something bigger... something better.

I pull on a long black dress with a v neck and a open back. I leave my hair down and curly and do minimal make up. I throw in some diamond earrings and black heels before calling it a day. It was great to look nice for once.

Patrick comes over before and it does help a little. He looked really good in all black and his hair done up nice. Took my mind off of the fact that I was about to make the biggest decision of my entire life and if something goes wrong I might actually lose my mind.

"You ready" he asks.

"I feel like I'm going to throw up" I admit wiping my sweaty hands on my dress.

"Here, I got you something" he says digging in his pocket and pulling whatever he was looking for out. It was a little black box and he opens it revealing a beautiful ring.

"It's a promise ring. You made your promises to me and I'm going to make my promise to you.

I promise to be behind you a hundred percent through this whole entire process. I promise to try my hardest to make things work with my crazy schedule and when you get super famous and won't always be around. I promise that no matter how little time we might end up with it will be the best times. I promise to come to your shows and always sing along. Even though I'll be extremely off key. I promise to inspire you to the best of my abilities and always listen to your ideas. I really want to be in this with you and if you accept this ring I promise to be everything you need" he says taking the ring out of the box.

"Patrick... this is so sweet" I say looking to the beautiful ring. He slips it on my waiting hand and smiles down at me.

"You ready to do this" he asks.

"Now I am" I smile.

We meet up with everyone and order food before getting to the discussion position of the night. I sip on my water and just hope for the best.

"So is Mr. Jackson here representing you" he asks pointing to Patrick's agent sitting on the other side of me.

"I guess so. We haven't really talked about it" I shrug.

"If she would like, I would be honored for her to be my client" he says and I turn to him. I turn to Patrick and he nods his head.

"Alright then, looks like I have a agent" I laugh.

"Great, the  next part is the tricky part. I'm going to spit fire some ideas then get feedback from you guys.

I was thinking about you guys recording a EP at first. Just getting you're feet wet. You and your band could do half covers and half originals, no real time frame. Somewhere around 6 or so songs. Then we can have a release party and promo and stuff like that to get your name out there and see where to go from there. Kind of like a trial run.

You're cute, you're talented, you have a great stage personality and are great with people. I only see great things with you in your future" he explains.

"Can we stay in Chicago, since we're kinda home grown and all" I say.

"Yes, we have a studio here you guys can work in" he assures me.

"Okay, and if everything goes well... what happens next" I wonder.

"We can get you on some collaborations with our top artists, tours, a whole album, everything. I truly believe you have what it takes to do great things in the music world and it would be a shame if we didn't get to hear your voice because Richard is an ass hole.

Your voice... it's so unique yet everyone will like it no matter the preference of music. The second I heard your voice I knew I wanted you and I will do a lot to have you on our label" he explains.

"I don't know what to say" I admit.

"Here the terms. You and your agent can go over it then get back to me. The sooner we get this done the sooner we get you out that bar and into the studio" he says setting a binder in front of me. I smile up at him and was trying so hard not to cry right now.

"Thank you so so much. I'll get back to you as soon as possible" I say.

We spend the rest of the time just talking and eating. Tate was intimidating as hell but he was really funny. He wasn't giving off the same vibes Richard was and I had more people with me this time. I wasn't going to make the same mistakes.

"So how long have you been with your band" he asks while chomping down on a stake.

"Three years" I nod.

"Do you guys have a name" he asks.

"No... I usually just introduce them out by their names" I shrug.

"I got this. How about Rising Star" Patrick says. That actually wasn't bad.

"Rising Star staring Lizzie Star" Tate says with a big smile. He seemed to really like that.

"You ready kid" he asks.

"Ready as I'll ever be" I smile.
