-Himenei-

"Why...?"

"It's just...everything that's going on right now is too much for me to be worried about you as much as I do," he said as he avoided eye contact.

"Kiba...you know what? Never mind."

"You're okay with this?!"

Before I could blink, Neji had Kiba pinned against the nearby wall.

"Neji!"

I raced to his side, trying to pull him off of Kiba.

"Did I not warn you about hurting my little sister?! Was it not clear enough when I made a clear verbal statement?!"

"Neji! Get off of him," I shrieked as I continued to pull them apart.

"Akamaru, stay," Kiba choked out.

I turned to see an angry Akamaru.

"Sakura, could you help me out here," I asked as she stared in shock.

"Uh...sure," she said as she jogged over to us, snatching Neji off of Kiba immediately.

"Leave...and do not show yourself around me or Himenei ever again," Neji spat.

Kiba looked my way, and I avoided his glance completely.

I wanted this to happen in a totally different way, but it couldn't be helped.

"Alright...see you around Himenei..."

"Yeah...see you..."

I wiped my face, refusing to let tears fall for him.

I don't hate him.

I'm not upset with him either, I'm just confused.

If it isn't broken then why try and fix it?

Our relationship was fine, and there was no drama.

Yet he had to come along and break it to off just like that.

"You alright," Lady Tsunade asked as she placed a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm fine...thanks...should we focus on healing everyone else?"

"I'm sure that we've got it covered. Go ahead and help rebuild."

"Okay..."

-Three Weeks Later-

"Neji! What are you doing," I shrieked.

"I'm adding surveillance seals to your room."

"I know...but why," I asked as I stomped towards the wall where he placed the tags.

"So that people will stop creeping in here," he glared.

"Neji, take that junk down! You're just being overprotective again," I snapped as I snatched another tag down.

"Himenei! Stop that!"

"No! Get out of my room!"

"This is for your own good! Stand aside!"

"No! You're being extra again!"

"You two are fighting again," Lady Hinata smiled as she entered the room.

"Lady Hinata! Tell Neji to remove these stupid tags," I groaned.

"Neji...why are you placing tags around Himenei's room?"

"They are surveillance tags...simply made to keep an eye around for any unwanted guests," he said as he bumped me off of the chair I was on, making me fall to the ground.
