Plot: In 1972, a popular student in Yomiyama North Middle School's class 3-3 named Misaki passed away during the school year. Since then, the town of Yomiyama has been shrouded by a fearful atmosphere, from the dark secrets hidden deep within. Twenty-six years later, 15-year-old Kouichi Sakakibara transfers into class 3-3 of Yomiyama North and soon after discovers that a strange, gloomy mood seems to hang over all the students. He also finds himself drawn to the mysterious, eyepatch-wearing student Mei Misaki; however, the rest of the class and the teachers seem to treat her like she doesn't exist. Paying no heed to warnings from everyone including Mei herself, Kouichi begins to get closer not only to her, but also to the truth behind the gruesome phenomenon plaguing class 3-3 of Yomiyama North. Another follows Kouichi, Mei, and their classmates as they are pulled into the enigma surrounding a series of inevitable, tragic events-but unraveling the horror of Yomiyama may just cost them the ultimate price.

Opinion:Oh, Just another anime? Ah! See what I did there? Course you did, moving on to my thoughts!
What I've come to find is that there isn't as many horror anime out there as they're are other. So, when you think about that, it makes since why horror Anime have such original individual stories. Honestly if you want a non copied story just watch a horror anime...unless you don't like that type of stuff. In which case I will clarify This isn't An anime for you.
Allow me to clarify, a lot of horror anime, actually I'd say most, aren't all that scary or even gruesome. However they're are some, like this anime that are incredibly vivid with it's...definite qualities. Basically people die, a lot. And In some of the most horrid ways.
Now, that we have all the people how don't like horror gone, allow me to talk with you all that do enjoy the genre, like myself. Man, I really liked this anime, as I said some of the deaths were quiet horrible but corpse party prepared me for the worst, so it honestly wasn't that bad. I really enjoyed the story and how everything played out, the near end revealed a serious plot twist and I was a bit unsatisfied with the overall ending, however I moreover liked the anime.
The characters were great too! That being said..don't get too attached and make favorites too quickly, you may find that everyone you liked was...I dunno...hit by lightening? Crushed by a falling elevator? The list goes on...However I was pleased to know that my favorites actually lived to the every end! Sadly some others I liked weren't so lucky. Bluntly, lots of death happens. However as I said, the characters were awesome!
I think I already clarified that the plot was awesome and original no less. Just thought I'd blatantly state it. Its definitely a story all the iron gut otaku should check out.
I will say that the soundtrack wasn't good by any means, so that definitely will hurt it's final score, however I don't think you should turn away from it due to that. The art style was very nice, and it may sound really horrible, but It made the death nicer?
I mean, the animation and such really played out in favor of some many people dying! (I'm not a bad person..) So the visuals were very nicely done.
All together, minus the bad music, it was a very well done anime and I think it should be checked out by you all at some point. Unless you're not into horror, but if that's the case I don't know why you read this chapter in the first place.
