Plot: Night Raid is the covert assassination branch of the Revolutionary Army, an uprising assembled to overthrow Prime Minister Honest, whose avarice and greed for power has lead him to take advantage of the child emperor's inexperience. Without a strong and benevolent leader, the rest of the nation is left to drown in poverty, strife, and ruin. Though the Night Raid members are all experienced killers, they understand that taking lives is far from commendable and that they will likely face retribution as they mercilessly eliminate anyone who stands in the revolution's way. This merry band of assassins' newest member is Tatsumi, a naïve boy from a remote village who had embarked on a journey to help his impoverished hometown and was won over by not only Night Raid's ideals, but also their resolve. Akame ga Kill! follows Tatsumi as he fights the Empire and comes face to face with the powerful weapons, enemy assassins, challenges to his own morals and values, and ultimately, what it truly means to be an assassin with a cause.

opinion: It's been sometime since I watched this anime, and it still remains my #1 of all time favorite anime. I loved everything about this anime, that's why it was my first 10/10 they did everything right. Well, from the anime standpoint, I'm sure a lot of manga readers are Pissed to hell, but that's a rant for another day. Personally I'm not super huge on romance, more specifically when it isn't with the protagonist and my favorite heroine. However, while she wasn't my favorite female character, I loved the romance between Mine and Tatsumi.
As far as the anime itself; the art, the character's, the plot, as I said I think they did everything right, it's my favorite anime, and I simply think it's perfect. But wait... Let me elaborate on that.
Easily a great plot. Even with just the core idea great things could have stemmed from it. However, I'll say that things went amazingly in the anime (I have yet to read the manga) and a badass story with most of our favorite elements grew through the story of Akame Ga kill. There was action to fuel my desire to click onto the next episode, romance to cease all the shipping fan fictions that were sure to come, even a bit of drama when certain characters were killed. On top of that were provided with some top quality anime theme songs at the beginning of each episode and a dazzling art style. Honestly, the animation of the show is awesome and so vivid in everything it does.
However! On top of the brilliant story, awesome soundtracks and pretty animating, on top of it all, is the almost unbeatable character cast. Right now, I'll sit here and tell you, its hard to find a cast of characters as great. Whether it was love or hate, my emotion and attachment to each and every character was so strong.
