Plot: Striking fear into the hearts of mortals, the Demon Lord Satan begins to conquer the land of Ente Isla with his vast demon armies. However, while embarking on this brutal quest to take over the continent, his efforts are foiled by the hero Emilia, forcing Satan to make his swift retreat through a dimensional portal only to land in the human world. Along with his loyal general Alsiel, the demon finds himself stranded in modern-day Tokyo and vows to return and complete his subjugation of Ente Isla—that is, if they can find a way back! Powerless in a world without magic, Satan assumes the guise of a human named Sadao Maou and begins working at MgRonald's—a local fast-food restaurant—to make ends meet. He soon realizes that his goal of conquering Ente Isla is just not enough as he grows determined to climb the corporate ladder and become the ruler of Earth, one satisfied customer at a time! Whether it's part-time work, household chores, or simply trying to pay the rent on time, Hataraku Maou-sama! presents a hilarious view of the most mundane aspects of everyday life, all through the eyes of a hapless demon lord.

Opinion:Huh, well this anime was certainly different. In a good way though! I know, we've all seen like a million anime where the plot is something regarding the hero/heroes and the demon lord. Be it Rokka No Yuusha or Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, the point is that there is almost an endless number or demon Lord and hero anime. It's like animes #1 fantasy plot.
That obvious statement made clear, this anime has successfully shone new light on the ever so overused demon lord and hero plot core. I'll give this show my regards. Its done the near impossible. Seriously! With all the demon lord anime plots out there, you think it'd be impossible for anything even a little original to come out of it.
Yet none of us ever saw this coming! Head down to your nearest McDonald because the demon Lord may be flipping patties as assistant manager. (I know they don't work at McDonald in the anime, but they would if not for copyright). Honestly this anime was humorous. It made me laugh every joke here and there.
I liked the ideals of the show. Them living n our world, Japan. Honestly the idea of Satan working in the fast food industry is hilarious all by itself. So extra points to an anime that took a cliché plot core and managed to be original! On top of the great plot there was a nice, catchy soundtrack to enjoy. Plus a cast of hilarious and lovable characters. This anime soared over the set bar (even if it was set a bit low) and made an all out great appearance!
Good show, brings new light to the devil lord and hero. I recommend this anime. Seriously. I do.
