That One Song (Leonardo)

I thought this song would be cute for Leo :) He'd do anything to make you happy.

Are there any fellow Type 1 Diabetics reading?  Cause this one is having hard time with her blood sugars right now, to where they don't even show on the meter T_T  I feel awful.

Leo couldn't help but smile as he watched you pace back and forth to one room and then into another.  You invited him over for the day for company since April was out, she wouldn't be hom until late that evening.

You would enter and leave each room with something in your hands, wanting to clean up the place fast.  Leo offered to help but you just pushed him down gently on the couch telling him it was no trouble.  It was just a quick sweep through, you'd be done in no time.

"You sure you don't need help?"  Leo called, and soon you replied.

"Nope! Thank you though!"

Chuckling softly, Leo stood up and walked over to the radio by the TV.  You already had a CD in it so he decided to listen to it, to see what kind of music you liked.  What he heard were a combination of songs; (pop song), a popular pop song; (rock song) classic Rock N Roll, and (another language song), (music type genre).  You had quite the combination, but one in particular caught Leo's attention, it was the last song on the CD.  He pressed the play button and waited for the music to start.

I don't know how but I scraped up the money

I just never could quite tell you no.

Something within those beginning lines made Leo stop for a moment.

You always saw the beauty in things, you gave Leo a chance when he thought no one would actually do that, you loved him just like you would anyone else, except her meant the world to you so you loved him more than anything.

But I was far from being made of gold.

He wasn't perfect, he had his flaws, he'd get angry and impatient with you sometimes, and he wasn't obviously human, but you loved and cared for him anyways.  And he couldn't be more happy or honored to have someone like you watching over him, loving him as you did.  You were truly a gift.

As the song continued, the lyrics made Leo smile, and it brought you to a halt once you saw him standing there, the music caught your attention instantly.

Just to see you smile, I'd do anything that you wanted me to.

And all is said and done, I wouldn't count the cost

"Just to see you smile," Leo whispered to himself, smiling at the thought of you.  He wasn't aware you were behind him until you spoke up.

"I didn't know you like country music."  You say as you set down the laundry basket onto the couch.  You watched as Leo grinned and turn the music up just a smidge.

"I don't mind it," he said, "but I think this song was meant for us."

You couldn't help but smile as he walked over to you and took your hand, Leo then twirled you around in your spot.  You giggled as he pulled you in to kiss your forehead.

"Meant for us, huh?"  You say as you smile up at him.

"You really are a marvel (y/n)," he said smoothly, "how you fell in love with me, I may never know."

The burning sensation on your face only burned more.  Leo was always so sweet to you, always knew what to say to make you smile, he truly made you feel special.

"I do know one thing though," Leo began, catching your gaze quickly, "I'd do anything to make you smile."

You chuckled softly as he pulled you in for a quick kiss.  After you pulled back and smiled innocently at him.

"Does that mean helping me fold laundry?"  You ask sheepishly, making Leo smile.

"If that's what makes you happy, the I will certainly help."

You took his hand and led him to the couch to start folding.  While each song on the CD went by the two of you would sing to Tim McGraws lyrics, your heart fluttering whenever you turned to see Leo smiling at you.

The more you thought about it, Leo was right about the lyrics to the song, it did fit for the two of you.  

Leo managed to make you smile at the end of the day, and it only grew bigger once you felt him sneak over to kiss your cheek.
