I know I promised you a chapter like two days ago, but school has been so hectic. So here is your chapter I hope it's long enough for you all. I'll be working to update this weekend maybe... Well anyway.... ENJOY!

Jace’s POV

The world went into slow motion as he kissed her. It was a soft, delicate kiss. I understood what it meant before Izzy did, he was saying goodbye. For a moment I let my mind believe that he would jump, be gone again. How stupid I was. In one swift, cold, motion he threw the woman he claimed to love and his son over the bridge.

Bullets ripped through the air, following him into the river as he jumped. I hadn’t realized I was screaming her name until Chief James clasped my shoulder, bringing me into a tight embrace. He was heartbroken, he had to be. He’d never hugged me, ever. A million and one things flashed before my eyes. I saw the day we met, the day I asked her out, our kidnapping, leaving for California, coming back, finding out about Jack, marrying her, the stalker and Mark, the twins, then losing her.

No it can’t be true, it can’t. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. Izzy wasn’t supposed to be in harm’s way. I rushed for the edge of the bridge. Chief James tried to hold me back, probably thinking I would throw myself over. I couldn’t do that because Kali and Kendal would need me now more than ever. I just had to see. I gripped the edge and slowly peered down.

“Izzy!” I screamed, but this time not because she had fallen over.

“Jace,” She shouted back. Jack clung to her neck, his grip so tight her face was turning red, but she wouldn’t tell him to loosen up.

I shouted for the officers and agents then reached down to her, I couldn’t reach.

“Hold on,” I ordered.

“Wish I would have thought of that!” She shouted back. I laid down on my stomach on the railing, reaching far down. I felt someone holding onto my legs.

“Give me your hand,” I said.

“Take Jack first,” She says, breathlessly. Jack whimpers and continues his death grip.

“Jack, let go with one hand and grab Daddy’s hand.” She orders softly. I can see she can’t hold on much longer, but she has to stay calm, for Jack.

Jack lets go with one arm, panics and smacks back against her. Her fingers slip to the edge. “Jack, now!” She screamed He lets go and throws his arm up to me. I grab it and pull him up over my shoulder. Someone takes him. I reach back down for Izzy. She grabs my wrist and I grab hers.

“Don’t let go,” She begged.

“Wasn’t planning on it,” I mumbled. I grabbed her other wrist. “A little help!” I shouted to the officers. More hands reached down and helped pull Izzy back over the bridge. She fell to her knees sobbing into Jack. Jack burst into tears again. I wrapped them both in my arms. Chief James hugged from the other side and together we tried to help hold them together.

Izzy’s POV

“Kali don’t you dare!”  I shouted. She looked back at me over her shoulder, JJ’s tail still in her hand. That poor dog suffered so much abuse from the six month olds. It shocked me that three months had gone by since Jack was kidnapped.

“Kendal!” I yelled, as JJ whimpered away into a corner from being bitten. Yes, bitten. My kids are crazy. I scooped him and Kali up and took them outside. Jack came running out of his room and down the stairs, following us. He hated to be left alone, and I couldn’t bare to do it.
