How To NOT Be Straight by taramiles_

Reviewer: DamagedButPure

Sorry I kept you waiting...here's your review!

TITLE: 5/5
The title highlights the thing that makes up the plot. It's explainable and simple.

BLURB: 5/5
I love how the blurb is filled with rhetorical questions and a bit of sassiness/sarcasm. And it's from the main character's point of view, giving out a bit of her attitude/character. So it's amazing enough to attract audience.

INTRODUCTION: 5/5
Since you haven't written a prologue or an intro, I've decided to take a bit of the first chapter as the intro. I like how you've given a religious background to Cameron's family and how she talks about them so casually. Her narration is so natural T~T

CHARACTERS: 5/5
The thing I found most impressive about the book is the realistic characters. The constant daughter-dad arguments. The mom stepping in. Each one of your characters gives off a different vibe and it's wonderful.

ESSENCE OF THE STORY: 9/10
I can't say much about the essence since you haven't yet updated a lot of chapters. But so far it's great. It's also good how Cam's crush on Blake isn't pointed out all the time to make her look desperate. Those kind of stories are so common and cliche.

WRITING STYLE: 5/5
You. Killed. It. Your writing style is awesome. Everything is so perfectly balanced. The emotions, the physical environments, the dialogues. Amazing.

GRAMMAR/PUNCTUATION: 5/5
Your grammar and punctuation is immaculate. It's so good to find a book like this, trust me. Wattpad is filled with famous books that have horrible grammar. So I'm glad I have a reason to believe in the world again I guess?

FLOW OF THE STORY: 4/5
The flow is good until it gets to Cam and Alexis' friendship. They become friends so quickly that it's almost unreal. Plus they're very comfortable with each other. They've just met?

PLOT: 9/10
The plot is unique. The list is so precious. I loved that idea so much. And although there are many books about a member of the LGBTQ+ fighting against social stigma, you make it seem different and that's beautiful.

GRAPHICS: 4/5
The cover page is simple. And is pretty capable of attracting readers but I'm personally rooting for a more exciting looking one???? Also aesthetics might give extra depth to your characters! So try that out.

DETAILS AND DESCRIPTIONS: 10/10
Everything is perfect. The emotional thoughts, the body's reactions to them. Plus the realistic description of feelings. It was wholesome reading your book.

TOTAL POINTS: 66/70

Overall I enjoyed reading about Cameron a lot and hopefully I'll find time to continue reading it !
If you've got any doubts PM me on my account and I'll be happy to help you out.

Lots of love,
Star
