Learning Love by Alyza_K

Thank you Alyza_K for letting me review her book that she has only just started writing and is her first, I hope you continue on writing more books as I really enjoyed reading this one!!

Cover:
Looking at the cover, I can instantly tell that this story is a love story, also the detail on the sunset at the background is honestly so breathtaking, and the meaning for why you chose to have a couple getting married on your cover as well is also beautiful, as most people when they think of a wedding see it as showing commitment which is what happens in the story as well, despite not being in love with each other, they are willing to give it time and gradually let it happen, which shows that they don’t want to break that promise of commitment to each other.

Description:
I think you’ve done a very good job on your blurb, seeing as a blurb is a short description, which you have done very well, a little minor mistake I’ve found is in the line “Do you understand all these rules, or do I have fcking have to spell each one out for you?”, should be “Do you understand all these rules or do I fcling have to spell each one out for you?”. Other than that, really good job on the blurb.

Storyline:
I am so sorry for this but I kinda had a hard time following the plot as there were just too many different things happening that it ended up making me confused, however for the parts I did understand, it was good. I think you should go over your story and make some rewrites, but from what I’ve read I think it’s a very promising storyline so good job!!

Characters:
I like how you have a character profile page that shows what they look like, which I’m very thankful for as it makes it easier to picture what they look like. I absolutely adore the huge relationship development between from hate to love, this shows a huge character development as well for the both of them. This is just my opinion but I would like to see some additional information for the character profile such as their birthdays, age and stuff.

Grammar/Spelling:
Despite English not being your first language, I have to say you did a very good job, there are just some little minor errors that are easily fixable such as some sentences missing spaces in between some words, such as “I am”, “I do not” and “Of course” which you make in the first chapter, so just have careful of those, and always proofread mistakes. You have done a very good job for writing a story that isn’t your mother language, you should be really proud of yourself, because I am, really well done!!

Engagement of the reader:
All in all, this was a good book and I would rate it 7/10, I hope you don’t get discouraged by anything I say, I only want to help, I really do think this story has a good storyline, it definitely has potential I’ll say that, keep writing ok and don’t stop!!
