Chapter 36

Shawn POV

"I missed you too." I said hugging her tighter.
"Hey we should hang out today." She said
"Yeah, my show doesn't start until tomorrow." I explained
"And soccer doesn't start until Friday." She said
"Okay what should we do?" I asked
"Hmm, movies?" She asked
"I'm down, let's go." I said

*At Movies*

"What should we watch?" She asked
"Ohh the new Guardians of the Galaxy came out wanna see that?" I asked
"If it's anything like the last one then yes, I would." She said smiling. I could get lost in that smile and her eyes, oh her eyes. I'm pretty sure I'm in love.
"Shawn, Shawn, Shawn you there?" She asked snapping her fingers in front of my face.
"Yeah, yep I'm here." I said. I probably looked like a complete idiot.
"Anyway here's you ticket." She said handing it to me.
"While you were off in la la land I got the tickets." She said laughing
"I'm sorry, I'll buy popcorn to make it up to you. How about that?" I asked
"Sure, that works." She said. I asked the guy for some popcorn and two sprites.
"How'd you know Sprite was my favorite?" She asked
"Because it's mine too." I said. We walked to our seats and there were only like two or three people there. We got to the very back of the theater and sat down. Every time a loud noise went off she'd jump. I finally got the courage to hold her hand. I interlocked my finger with hers. She tensed up then relaxed.
"Is this okay?" I asked
"It's perfect." She said

*After Movie*

"Listen I know that you and G just got out of like a thing-" I started but then she cut me off.
"First off me and G were never a thing, we liked each other and that's it. And second are you trying to ask me out?" She said
"Uh, yeah I guess." I said scratching the back of my head.
"Yes, I would love to." She said hugging me
"Good I'm glad you said that." I said
"You have no idea how long I have been waiting for you to ask that." She said smiling
"And you have no idea how long I've wanted to ask that." I said tucking a piece of loose hair behind her ear.
"Okay what do you want to do now?" I asked
"Do you want to go back to the Jack's house and we can watch movies there?" She asked
"How about we go get some ice cream, and then we go to my hotel room?" I asked
"That sounds good." She said

Jo POV

Did Shawn seriously just ask me out? Finally. I've been waiting for him to do that since I caught G with that whore. We went and got ice cream and went back to his hotel. We were watching Spy (the one with Melissa McCarthy) when Shawn just busted up laughing
"What? Did you just get the dirty jokes?" I asked laughing
"Yes and no. But look at this." He said showing me his phone. It was a picture of Shay, Taylor and Cam sleeping on the floor in the living room of what I'm guessing is Cam's house. Taylor had his finger up Cam's nose and Cam was hugging Taylor. Shay was just there like nothing was wrong.
"That's funny and who took that?" I asked
"I think Matt did. Cam said they were hanging out." He said. I looked down.
"You miss him don't you?" He said
"Yeah, I miss Matt, Cam, Taylor, I miss Shay. I miss everyone. I miss touring with you guys. I miss all the dirty jokes, lip gloss dances, Hayes's dumb jokes. Nash's smart ass comments. And most of all I miss performing with my best friends." I said fighting back the tears.
"There's going to be a tour next summer and once Shay and Hayes graduate this year then we can do it whenever we want. Unless I'm on tour then I won't be there but that's okay." He said
"Thanks Shawn, you always know how to make me feel better." I said
"That's what I'm here for. Do you want me to take you back to the Jack's?" He asked
"Do I have to go?" I asked putting
"No you can stay with me." He said
"Good because G and I aren't on very good terms at the time." I said
"What happened? You can tell me anything." He said
"Well first off he told me he loved me then went with Madison Beer then told me he loved me again. I don't believe him but you know boys will be boys." I explained
"Well now you have me and the only time I'll leave you is when I go on tour." He said playing with my hair.
"That's comforting *sarcasm* Speaking of, when do you leave?" I asked
"Next week, on Monday." He said
"I leave on Tuesday." I said
"Where do you go for your next game?" He asked
"I have to go to... Um hold on let me see." I said I checked my email for the schedule. "Um I go to Cincinnati next." I said
"Okay text me your schedule and I'll text you mine and maybe there will be more cities that we can meet up at." He said
"Holy crap its two in the morning." I exclaimed
"We better get to sleep then." Shawn said
