*Louis voice* Niall the bad boy, give it a rest. Niall the chuRCH BOY  MORE LIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I'm going out tonight," Your mother announced, while snatching her purse and slinging the bag over her shoulder. "And you're going next door to the Horan's."

"What?!" You shrieked, your head snapping up to glare at your mom. "Mom, please... I have to study!"

"Great!" She sarcastically exclaimed, grabbing her jacket and folding it over her arm, just in case the air got a little chilly while she was out. "Then you can study with Niall. Go on, now. He's waiting. Don't be late, it's rude and Niall's a good kid."

You let out a long sigh, dramatically prying yourself from the comfort of your bed. "Yeah, trust me, I know how good he is," You growled, throwing your backpack over your shoulder. "Too good."

Following behind your mom as she pulled the door open, you heard her snap, "Don't say that. You two could really be friends, you know. If only you'd learn to accept his ways."

"He reads the Bible in class, mom!" You exclaimed, "He studies different translations of the scriptures for fun! You can't have a joke with him, 'cause he'll see it as a sin! Tell me how I'm supposed to be friends with him! He'd cry if he ever heard the lyrics to some of the songs out there. And he's still not allowed to watch any movies besides the G-rated ones. G-rated! He's going to be eighteen soon, and the scariest movie he's ever seen is The Little Mermaid! That's sad !"

"(Y/N)!" Your mother hissed, pausing in her spot and spinning around, so that she was facing you. In a hushed tone, she snapped, "Be nice to the boy. His father's a priest, for cryin' out loud! Give the kid a break and go study with him!"

That was the end of your argument with your mother because you soon found yourself at the doorstep of the Horan's humble abode, complete with a holy water font beside the front door. You lifted your gaze to the heavens for only a moment before landing a heavy knock on the door. It opened seconds later, as if someone was waiting for your arrival. Niall's dad stood behind it, already wearing his robes. "(Y/N)!" He beamed, placing a hand on your shoulder. "What a pleasure! Come in, my dear!" He ushered you inside, to see that the modest living room was empty. "Niall is upstairs finishing his prayers and I'm just about to leave for my Bible study group at church. It's Wednesday!" He chuckled a little and then let out a long breath, grabbing his Bible and tucking it under his arm. "How nice of your mother to offer your company for the evening. I know Niall gets lonely sometimes," He said in a whispered voice, just as Niall descended down the staircase.

"There's my boy!" His father exclaimed, "Look who's come to spend the evening with you. I trust you two can get along fine." Niall's eyes landed on you and he offered a kind smile.

"Of course, father," Niall grinned, "(Y/N) and I can do homework together." His father seemed pleased with this.

"Well, I'll be on my way then. I shouldn't be home past eight, but you know how it goes, Niall. We always lose track of time." His father chuckled once again and then he was gone, headed for the church, which was very close to where both you and Niall lived, as neighbors.
