**Here's your fair warning - this part is dirty !!!!!!**

"We need to go," Niall pressed, puffing his chest out while confronting the door bouncer. "She has some business to finish this evening."

"I'm sorry," The man gruffly answered, "I can't let anyone out until everyone's been let in." He nodded toward the long line at the entrance, "As you can see, it'll be a while before that happens."

Niall growled in impatience. He took a quick glance around him before grabbing the bouncer by the collar of his shirt. "Listen to me," Niall barked, "It's my job to protect her at all costs. This is what I do - I put her first, always. She doesn't want to be here any longer, and I will not force her to do something she'd rather not do. Let us out of here." He dropped the bouncer, who stared at Niall in a way that had you convinced a fight was about to break out. But then he sighed and stepped aside, allowing you and Niall to slip past him and hurry through the exit doors.

"I'm impressed," You smirked, while standing beside Niall on the curb. He flagged down a taxi and as the yellow car rolled to a stop in front of you, you said, "Using intimidation as a way to get what you want." Niall only rolled his eyes and pulled the door open, gesturing for you to slide into the backseat of the taxi.

While he plopped down beside you, he breathed out, "You should always be impressed with me." He then flashed a cocky smirk before giving the driver a number of directions. You pressed yourself as close to Niall as you could, until he had no choice but to wrap his arm around you. You snuggled into his side, resting your head on his shoulder. You closed your eyes, inhaling that intoxicating cologne again. "Yeah, you better rest now," Niall said, his hand running up and down your thigh. " 'Cause I'm one to go all night."

His words were like drugs - hooking you right away. "I don't need rest," You insisted, "I know I can handle you, tiger." Niall only chuckled in response. He patted your knee, like you did to him earlier, as the car pulled up to your hotel. Niall was quick to pay the driver before grabbing your hand and pulling you out of the taxi. You were met with  a crowd of paparazzi, waiting for your return from the award ceremony. You clung to Niall as he maneuvered you through the crowd.

"Excuse us," He tried to be polite, "(Y/N) doesn't have time to talk right now." You smirked at his words. Only you and him knew why you couldn't stay behind to chat with the eager paparazzi.

"(Y/N)!" Voices called out for you, desperate for you even to just lift your head for a quick picture.

"(Y/N), can you look over here?"

"(Y/N), what are your plans for the new year?"

"Hey, (Y/N), we heard you and Charlie were getting comfy tonight. Anything going on between the two of you?" Your head snapped up at this, meeting Niall's fiery glare. He was angry. It had already hit the media - about you and Charlie hanging out at the ceremony. You honestly did not think it would blow up like this. It was just a friendly exchange, no romance involved at all. Yet they took the few snapshots of you and Charlie talking and totally stretched the truth. This is what happens.

"She's not seeing him," Niall hissed, "Now let us through, please." His voice was no longer patient and kind, but rather harsh and bitter. He extended a hand and pushed his way through the last remaining cameramen, ushering you along with him.
