Dear Diary,

I was out on a walk today, like I usually am. Just strolling through the town. It's nice when you can hear the birds and that's about all that you can hear because I always walk when it's still fairly early. There's no annoying sounds or anything. Just me and the birds.

So, as I was saying, I was out on a walk. And I noticed the clouds darkening, and I thought to myself, "I bet it's going to rain." After I was walking for another eleven minutes, well sure enough, it started to pour. And I'm serious. It was raining sooooo badly. So here I am, in my shorts and this clingy top, in the pouring rain. Not one of my best moments.

So I tried my best to find some place where I could just take a break and maybe wait for the rain to stop. And I came across this nice little coffee shop that I've, surprisingly, never noticed before. I walked inside, and the smell of the coffee brewing was so strong; I'll be smelling it for days. Anyway, I ordered my usual coffee and found a nice little spot in the corner of the place. It was perfect because I could look out the window and watch for the rain to stop.

So as I'm sitting there, enjoying my coffee, some guy walks in. Now, I've seen plenty of guys before in my life. Trust me. But never have I seen some guy looking as lost as this one. He had confusion written all over him, and I knew right away he's not from around here.

Being the great citizen that I am, I decided to approach him, and ask him if he needed help. I mean, he sure looked like he did. And I'm always up for helping people.

"Excuse me, hi! Um, you look a little lost, is there something I can help you with?" I said, putting on my best smile.

He looked super relieved to see me, and he smiled at me, extending a hand for me to shake. I shook his hand and I watched as he scratched the back of his neck before replying, "Yes, actually. I'm not from here..."

Well that I knew. It was pretty obvious. This town is small and so easy to navigate that you can spot a newbie from miles away. But, you know, I like it that way. And the fact that he had an accent confirmed it even more; he was new and lost.

"Are you looking for anything in particular?" I asked him, taking a sip of my coffee.

"I was just trying to find a grocery store. I saw this little place and I thought maybe I could pop in and ask someone for help," He explained. "I'm Niall, by the way."

"Oh, I'm Bianca," I said, "And the closest grocery store is literally around this corner and down that street for about two minutes. You'll see it when you get to it, you can't miss it."

He nodded, "Thank you so much."

"You know, while you're here, why don't you pick up a coffee or something? I've just found this place, it's really nice," I said, suddenly feeling like I wanted to talk with him a little longer.

He smiled, "Sure!" He agreed.

I waited at my table for him to return, and he took the spot across from me. We got to talking, and to say least, I really like this guy. He's very friendly, he's funny, cute, and his accent is attractive. And he's around my age so....hey, this could work.

I have plans to meet up with him tomorrow and talk some more, I think I'm his only friend here. But I could get used to this. He's a really cool person and I'm feeling lucky!

Sincerely,

Bianca

PS- He found the grocer store without a problem!
