WILL

It's been a few days since that day I saw my mom with Richard, but she swears he's nice, so if she's happy, then I'm happy.

I haven't spent much time with Leah because she's had cheerleading practice back to back. I guess they're trying to make sure they look good for the championship game.

Did I just say championship game? I did. My school actually made it to the championship without me. It kinda sucks that I'm not able to play, but I'm still happy that they made it nonetheless.

I was getting ready for school, when I got a text from Brayden.

I finished getting ready and headed downstairs to the kitchen. My mom was already gone for work and she took the car, so I was going to ride with Leah this morning.

Moments later, I heard a car beep outside. I went to check out the window and it was Leah. I grabbed a muffin and Gatorade before leaving out of the door.

I put my bags in the back and got in.

"Good morning" I greeted.

"Morning." She responded.

I buckled up and we headed to school.

"So, Brayden wants to play me in a one on one at lunch today."

"Good, he needs all the practice he can get." She joked.

"Brayden's good. He just gets too cocky and that's where he messes up."

"True. Well, Tasha and I will come watch."

"Cool, I'm pretty sure Danny and Aiden will watch too."

"Nobody else is going to watch?" She asked.

"No, it's just a friendly game anyway."

"Okay, we'll see about that."

I ate my muffin while we rode to school.

"Don't get no crumbs in my car." She rolled her eyes.

"And if I do?"

"I'll put your ass out." She replied, sternly.

"Okay, chill. You got it. I'll be careful."

"Good, now give me a piece." She stated with a smile.

"I should've seen that coming." I laughed.

We got to school and all we saw were flyers posted on the walls and lockers.

"What's everyone looking at?" Leah asked.

"I don't know."

I grabbed a flyer off the wall and I couldn't believe it.

"Yo!" I said as I palmed my face.
