It's movie night 🥳
Wtf? I didn't know
about it.
I sighed. I knew that Jimin would not reply to my text. I was sure that he might be very busy in arranging snacks and the movies for us.
I felt excited about watching a movie too. It might be a good refreshing change for me.
We were all at Yoongi's house. I was surprised at Jimin's movie choice.
He chose Twilight. It was one of my favourite movies. But Jimin never liked it. He thought it was too 'cliché'.
So we always fought over movies.
"You chose Twilight" I said feeling proud of my brother.
He pinched my cheek. I did it on his, too, maybe a tad harder than he did.
"It hurts" he complained.
I stuck my tongue out at him.
"It's for Mihae. I wanted to prove that I was romantic" he paused,
"In front of her."
"Why? You couldn't make her believe through your actions?" I mocked.
"What type of actions are we talking about?" Taehyung said before making his place on a separate couch with a blanket.
"No action. We are watching a romantic movie" I was excited thinking that I would get to see Robert Pattinson's heartfelt acting that day.
"We are not watching porno?" He raised his eyebrows before questioning.
I rolled my eyes at him and he laughed.
I went to sit beside Mihae.
"Hey" she hugged me,
"How are things between you and Kook?" She asked me the first thing after seeing me.
"I don't know. I haven't seen him for a few days" I stated the truth.
"Jungkook!" That was when Jungkook walked through the door.
"Speak of the devil" I mumbled. Mihae let out a laugh at that.
"Did I miss anything?" He asked smiling.
The sleeves of his black shirt were rolled up. He looked clearly tired from working so hard but still managed to look as if he got back from shooting an office commercial or something.
He took the seat beside me.
"Hi" he grinned at me.
I did not respond to him and pretended to look through other movie DVDs.
"Hi" he said to Mihae then.
Mihae and Jungkook continued to talk for a while after that keeping me in between them.
I felt suffocated. To my rescue, the movie came and got started.
Everyone was grimacing at Jimin's movie choice. But soon they paid attention as well.
"What if I'm the bad guy?" Jungkook imitated Edward from the movie in the exact tone.
I glanced at him without realising.
He smiled at me widely. His eye whiskers were visible and beautiful.
I could not take it anymore.
"I will bring more popcorn" I said and went to the kitchen.
I sat on the top of a counter to kill some time. I could not bring myself to go to the living room again and sit beside Jungkook. It was getting too much for me.
"They fought. Paris falls" I looked up hearing the voice.
To my horror, it was Jungkook again. He narrated a line from Shakespeare's epic novel 'Romeo and Juliet'.
"You do realise that it's not a line from Twilight, right?" I said to him.
"Of course" he said but paused for a bit,
"I don't know" he looked confused.
I suppressed my laugh. There was no point at laughing on this. He did not read the novel.
"That's why I always wondered thinking there was no Paris in Twilight" he shrugged.
"Then how did you know the line?" I asked him.
He came and sat beside me on the kitchen counter.
"It was written in one of your notebooks" he said softly making me surprised.
"Literature" we echoed each other. How could he remember so much?
He looked down smiling. He said,
"And I thought since you always used to carry the Twilight Saga books, it must have been a line from that book" he finished explaining.
"How do you remember all these?" I asked him. My breathing was uneven.
He moved closer to me.
"How can I forget all these?" He breathed,
"Specially when it is about you." His eyebrows were furrowed. He looked pained.
We stared into each others' eyes. There were too many emotions to read.
My heart wanted to believe something which my conscious self was rejecting repeatedly.
Jungkook leaned more closer. I closed my eyes.
He stared deep into my eyes.
I did too.
His gaze shifted towards my lips.
Jungkook cupped my face and linked his lips with mine.
The sudden flashback and remembering the after effects of that incident made me open my eyes hurriedly.
I could not let that happen again.
"Don't engage with anything which will hurt you."
My mother's words played in my head.
I looked at him to see his eyes closed.
"More popcorn, please!" Taehyung yelled at that time.
I breathed out.
"Oh" Jungkook said.
"I better take popcorn for them" he said and I smiled sheepishly.
The movie ended with the couples kissing. Not only the one in the movie but also of the real lives.
Jimin was sitting on the other side of Mihae, kissing the hell out of her.
Yoongi and Soyeon were kissing. Seokjin and Yubi were kissing too. The last couple looked like they might start making out in front of us.
"Stop it, all of you" Hoseok yelled not being able to take it anymore.
"I am going to take a rain check" I said in a low voice, careful not to disturb the happy couples.
"We are totally sad people, aren't we?" Namjoon said.
"Aww. Don't say things like that" I patted his head.
That was when we could hear snoring from somewhere.
"It's Taehyung. He already fell asleep" Jungkook said munching on some popcorn.
I squinted my eyes. He did not even watch the full movie.
That was why the guys were hopeless.
"Also you don't have to go home. There are plenty of rooms in Yoongi's house" Jungkook said to me.
